What a beautiful,beautiful book. The author describes her life - her painful life of abuse - In a matter-of-fact but very moving way. One key to her overcoming her past was the deep bond she felt with her father - the bond continuing even after his death. Her strength of character is evidenced by how she rose above her upbringing to make a fulfilling life or herself complete with her doctorate. This is really an inspirational reading experience. Highly recommended.
