If you like rhyming text and picture books or penguins or just cute stories, you'll enjoy "Pandora's Box.". A sweet tale of Pandora the Penguin and the frozen box she discovered. Although warned not to open it by her siblings, and friends (whales, seals, birds, and more), persistent Pandora ignored them. In the end, they all help her open the box, out of which comes a rainbow. Sweet and colorful illustrations.

No Spoilers!! Pandora's Box is a cute story about a penguin named Pandora who is bold and not afraid to be herself and make her own choices. Pandora falls through the ice and finds a special box. Could this box hold something magical or be a very bad idea to open? Does Pandora and her friends agree on what to do with box? Overall a cute story that will keep the children guessing,,,,

Pandora plays around and explores while others do the work. While exploring, she discovers a box and has the courage and determination to open it, even the charisma to make everyone else help.
All good, this could be a nice message. But Pandora is blatantly presented as the special one by putting everyone else down.

Told in rhyme, it’s the story of a female penguin who finds a box under the ice, then tries all manner of ways to open it. Everyone warns her not to, but once they see she’s not going to stop they help her. It’s kinda adorable, especially the whales and their useless fins.
Pandora is a great name for a penguin, especially one with a polka-dot bow on her head; she might be buddies with Minnie Mouse. She can also ice skate instead of waddling like her brethren and sistren, of which there are many.
That’s a surprised-looking fish in her mouth.
Mmmm, the jackhammer was a little too much. (Surely the fact that my neighbor is using one at this moment has nothing to do with that opinion.) Another annoyance is that the author admits the Northern Lights can’t happen at the south pole, but it would have been a lot easier just to say Southern Lights, which is a thing too.

Pandora's Box s a cute tale about a penguin named Pandora, who is different from her many brothers. She is curious, and active, looking for adventure. One day Pandora dove deep into the ocean, and found a giant box. She brought it up and tried to open it. She tried and tried, but couldn't. At first her family and friends tried to dissuade her, fearful of what might be inside. Finally, they chose to help her, because she was their friend. What they found in the box was a dazzling surprise that cannot still be seen today!

This was such a cute story. It's a modern 'myth’ explaining a natural phenomenon, and a neat reversal on the classical Greek myth of Pandora, who opened a box releasing bad things. This Pandora released a wondrous glory! The artwork is charming, and the rhyming style of the story made it fun to read. I shared it with my younger cubs, who absolutely adored it!

This is adorable. The author took something that usually is told as a scary tale, "Pandora's box" and turned it into something beautiful and relatable for children. The story is told in rhyming verse and the author does a great job of keeping the verse flowing. The writing is smart, but can easily be understood by a 3-4-year-old. The illustrations are beautiful and mesh so well with the rhythm of the story. The beautiful surprise at the end of the story really turns the "Pandora's Box" mythology on its head. Well worth reading to your little ones.

The author's latest book tells the story of a curious little penguin who discovers a beautiful golden box in the icy waters of the Pole. It is written in rhyme and is an entertaining read with a great life lesson tucked within.

Her name is Pandora and she is different from her brothers and sisters. When they walk and waddle like bowling pins, she strikes a smooth and swift stride, when they turn to the left to hunt for food she turns to the right showing them her uniqueness and independence. But once away from the others she is involved in a mishap which sends her tumbling through the ice and rocks. She finds herself submerged under the icy water where she encounters a mysterious golden box. She is in survival mode and needs to ascend quickly.

Finally she manages to surface and oddly enough, so does the box, still encased in a block of ice. What should she to do with it she wonders? Being the curious little penguin that she is, and hearing thumps coming from inside the box, she decides to pry it open and take a peek inside. Oh my!!!! Is that a good idea?

The humpbacks, the soaring birds and the other penguins discourage her from doing so but she is determined to find out what danger... or treasure may be hidden deep inside. The others seeing how much Pandora wants to see what's inside gather around her and help her achieve her goal.

The box is finally open thanks to everyone pitching in and what energetically emerges is truly magical and truly extraordinary. The animals discover something above and beyond anything they could have ever guessed or even imagined.

The book encourages readers to think for themselves, be brave, don't ever give up and be the unique and awesome person you were created to be. Pandora's box is filled full of bold, expressive, fun illusrations that encourage everyone to think out of the box. Who knows what magic you may unleash!!

This was a very cute book. I liked the spin on the original Pandora's Box and enjoyed the illustrations. Told in rhyming verse, this was a fun read about how we should support each other's differences and accept different ways of doing things--it can often lead to some amazing results.
I received an ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was really a joy. Pandora is not like the other penguins. She dares to be be different. They waddle, she skates. They fish, she goes on an adventure. When she falls into the ice and finds a box, everyone else is too scared to open it. But Pandora was brave, and brought the light. A wonderful story about the Northern Lights (even though they don’t shine in the South).

This was a very pleasant surprise, a truly delightful kids book that my three-year-old and I both love. Colourful, fun, a cool story that is full of life and interest. Told in rhyming verse, the author does a good job keeping the flow going and crafting a lovely 'sing-song' quality to the unfolding tale. It's fun, it's easy to read (and re-read, and re-read) and is backed up by some great illustrations that mesh well. A very good kids book. One for the 'home bookshelf, as it could become a favourite.

This is a super cute picture book that can surely spark a young child's imagination of how the northern lights may have been created!

I was initially confused when I read this book, as 'Pandora's Box' implies that the box when opened would release problems and complications, such is the case in the popularly-known Pandora's Box. This one however, opens to reveal the Northern Lights. It's a nice story that demonstrates how people can work together to complete their goal (in this case opening the box), but to call it Pandora's Box was slightly misleading. The images were fab, very modern and fun, but the text was a little hard to read in places. I loved the rhyming paragraphs.

Pandora is an unusual, bold penguin girl who is not afraid to go beyond her tribe's limits. When she discovered by accident a frozen sealed box, she didn't hesitate to try all her best to open it, despite the warnings of her brothers and friends. But in the end they decided that they shall act together and help her figure out what's inside the box. In comparison with the famous mythological Pandora's box, in this case once open, a beautiful rainbow of colours and lights sprung. Her curiosity paid the right price, it seems.
Written in verse, it is a very beautiful story that has the power to inspire and the humour to entertain a curious child.
