This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended

This is the sort of happy book that takes you out of the present for a bit. Emma has a chocolate shop in a tourist town, a relationship that's sagging, and a landlord, well, no spoilers about him. There's friendships and there's romance. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC, Yes it's a bit trope-y but it's fun.

It was great to re-visit the Chocolate shop run by Emma. Reading about all the lovely chocolates and the residents of the village. Was a lovely book and the ending gave me a tear, I won't give it away though! Would have loved there to be a third book. Thank you for accepting my request and I'll definitely look out for Caroline's next book.

Just finished reading this book. It was a rather easy, enjoyable read. However I found the story to be predictable and very little action/excitement/movement. I can see how people may enjoy this fluffy and lighthearted read, it just wasn’t for me.

What's not to love about a book set in a chocolate shop? Really liked all the characters and the setting sounded idyllic! I want to visit and eat in the chocolate shop! Great read :)

Another fantastic book from Caroline Roberts, she never fails to disappoint.
This is a story of true love , friendship and chocolate. Perfect for fans of Jenny Colgan, a Debbie Johnson and Milly Johnson.
A light hearted read - perfect for reading anywhere , anytime.

My favourite character has to be Emma, she reminds me a lot of myself, especially her love of a good car boot sale - she’s very thrifty.
I wanted to slap her landlord Mr Eel several times, he obviously doesn’t like chocolate !!!!
I loved it how Bev and Holly always had Emma’s back - that’s true friendship there, I want my own Bev and Holly.
There was always a warm feeling of community spirit with all the characters.

This book made me feel happy, it also made me crave chocolate, better weather and the seaside. This book is set in Northumberland, a beautiful part of the country, I couldn’t imagine this story being set anywhere else. I really hope to read more from Emma and her chocolate shop soon.

Emma has now settled down in the small touristy town of Warkton-by-the-Sea. Her chocolate shop is going well and it’s always full of clients, even though her landlord still manages to make her life miserable. Her relationship with Max is also going well, but the long distance makes it difficult for them to see each other often. When a man from her past suddenly reappears in her life, things get more complicated.
I first met Emma when I read The Cosy Christmas Chocolate Shop and I was happy to go back and see what she was up to now. She is still surrounded by a family and a group of friends who support her and she still leads an eventful life. The descriptions of her chocolate creations made my mouth water and I was happy to find a few recipes of the tasty chocolates she prepares at the end of the book. With this story about love, friendship, family, and, above all, chocolate, once again Caroline Roberts has written a heart-warming and entertaining novel.

Sometimes you just want a comfy cozy read to help escape reality for a while. This book is a great one for doing that. The story is sweet, and the setting is delightfully charming.

This book is simply fantastic.
A lovely warm read all about love and friendships. It’s very easy to get so engrossed in this book that you actually believe that you are one of the characters

The first thing I'm going to say about this delightful read, is that I feel as if I've put some pounds on in weight after reading all about the yummy sounding chocolates/fudges that Emma makes and stocks in her cosy chocolate shop, not to mention the milkshakes and ice cream too. It's even making me what to make some myself, hmmm good job there's some recipes at the back of the book.

So this is my second trip to the Cosy Seaside Chocolate Shop, and what a delightful time I've had too. Thoroughly enjoyed reacquainting myself with previous characters Bev, Holly, Adam, Alfie the dog, Mrs C and of course Emma's family, seeing what they've been getting up too.

As for Emma and Max, the two main characters, well I've absolutely loved reading about their continued story and seeing how things develop between them, the challenges they have to face and overcome.

I enjoyed my stay so much that I didn't want to leave.  But as they say all good things must come to an end at some point.

Also added bonus, there are some yummy sounding recipes involving chocolate at the end of the book.

This was a lovely cozy beach type read. It took me a while to really get into it., about halfway through it to be exact. I do wish the dilemmas has come a little quicker in the book that way I had something to keep me inquiring about. I did find the book a little overly descriptive at time making it a little drawn out. But, don’t be discouraged as this was a truly “feel good” kind of book! 3.5*

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. Have read an awful lot of books about seaside shops over the last couple of months and have to say that this was really good and up there with one of the best.

What a mouthwateringly good read, from the scrummy descriptions of anything and everything chocolate, to the cute village and the lovely harbour.  What a delight and a great storyline too.

A warm and cosy tale - hadn’t realised that there was a previous book in the series, so a recap would have helped at the start and made it easier to get into the book

A warm cast of characters with a beautiful setting and the complexity of love, loss and relationships. makes a great light read

Review: I feel so privileged to be able to read and review Caroline Roberts latest book. The Cosy Seaside Chocolate Shop follows from Christmas at the Chocolate Shop where I first fell in love with Emma and her dog.

Emma's story continues with more problems arising for her chocolate shop and there is also trouble in paradise and alongside all this there is also a new rival in town. How can anyone stop visiting The Cosy Chocolate Shop by the Sea! Homemade chocolates in all manner of flavours.

Caroline Roberts has a lovely way with words.  Her writing style is easy to read but still conveys emotion. I love a story that flows. Her characters you cannot help but fall in love with and want to see their dreams come true. Caroline must have had so much fun researching this book trying all the different flavours and learning about making chocolate. If I could do my Hen do all over again I would book an evening at The Cosy Chocolate Shop by the Sea.

I really hope there is more to come from The Cosy Chocolate Shop by the Sea. Perhaps a wedding, but any book Caroline publishers will have a thumbs up from me. I adore her stories.

A lovely summer read for lovers of cosy seaside stories and their genre. Warm, uplifting and as sweet as chocolate and that is sometimes just what you need in a book. A. chocolate shop owner faces.business worries and her romance has hit a bumpy patch. The story of how she pulls through and the background of pictursque Northumberland are a winning combination.

This book was just delightful. Such a fun and happy read. Happy to know this series from Caroline Roberts.
Anything to do which a chocolate shop and fun characters who partron the happy environment, that could only be in a chocolate shop
Set in a delightful town by the sea, with many friends and town folk willing to help out in the shop and be a part of this environment and what Emma has started, with hosting parties at her shop and an outdoor patio and courtyard to serve customers in.
You would think all is bliss, alas not so. With a slimy landlord, and a misunderstood boyfriend, Emma is devastated. She now needs to find a new premises for the shop, a new home and a new boyfriend.
Such a lovely story, a quick and light read. Perfect for summer holidays, or a winter day curled up by a fire.
Appreciate the opportunity to read the story for an honest review.

The Cosy Seaside Chocolate Shop by Caroline Roberts is a lovely, well written, good summer read.

Emma the owner of the Chocolate Shop by the sea is loved by her friends and boyfriend Max and the shop is a very success, but life is not everytime so easy. She will face a number of problems, mainly to do with the landlord at her shop changing the goalposts, and a new business in town stirring things up to take away trade. Furtheremore, Max is also away due to work.

Even if, the story is very sweet and I love the characters, predictability and lack of anything really happening are two big problems of this book.

A special thank you to Netgalley and Harper Impulse and Killer Readsfor providing a free digital copy of this book.
