A nice suspenseful story though a bit confusing at times. While the story will keep you invested, the characters were not that well developed and the ending was rushed and left me with a lot of open questions.

Quinn is a sniper and he found out that his lover is a traitor and he's the one who has to take her town. Things seem to go south though when shes shot by the people they thought she was being a traitor. Rikki was believed to be dead so imagine his surprise when she shows up trying to clear her name but it looks like there is something deeper going on that needs to get settled.
Overall I thought that this was was a pretty good mystery romance book. I thought the characters were pretty good, wished I could've gotten to know more about them, but for the short amount of pages there's only so much you can learn about the character. I loved that there was plenty going on to keep the readers hooked, I managed to finish this book in a about a day because I was curious to see more of what was in store for the two, when would Rikki break the news to Quinn, what would really help her out to clearing her name. There is pretty to enjoy about this book so if you are looking for a good short mystery book with romance then your going to want to check this book out.

A riveting read! We’re familiar with several of the players in this book from previous stories in the series, and this one brings us the story of CIA agent Rikki Taylor and Navy SEAL Quinn McBride. It’s an action packed story that takes us for a ride filled with danger and intrigue. I’m assuming from the outcome that this is the last in the series … and under this assumption, the ending seemed very rushed and left a lot of vague answers open. The characters were well developed, the plot was well-played, but the ending was a bit flat. Overall an entertaining read!
When Navy SEAL Quinn McBride was given the order to take out a traitor in the CIA, he has no idea until he’s in the middle of the mission that it’s his former lover, Rikki Taylor who is going to be on the other end of his sniper rifle. He knows her well … there’s no way she’s guilty of betraying her country!
Assumed dead former CIA agent Rikki Taylor wants her life back. She was betrayed and set up to take a fall by someone, and her former lover might have been in on it for all she knows since he was the one sent to kill her. She has to find the answers she needs once and for all in order to be able to have a life again in the US … but finding Quinn to get some answers has to be her first step … and if he turns out to be as innocent as she is, she’ll tell him about the daughter they share!

Carol is a new author for me. Her writing if refreshing and her characters are believable.

Bulletproof SEAL is filled with intrigue and danger as Rikki tries to reclaim a life robbed from her and Quinn does everything in his power to help her. Along the way, betrayals are revealed and secrets are spilled.
When I started reading this book, I immediately got my back up because I just didn't feel up to another second chance romance after how awful the heroine in my previous second chance romance book was. And after reading what had happened to Rikki and what she was up against, I was even more concerned. I needn't have worried. Ms Ericson did a fantastic job of bringing Quinn and Rikki back together and most importantly, the discussed things like adults and got beyond their past to deal with the more immediate dangers at hand.
Because of the nature of the story, I didn't know if I would like Rikki. In fact, I was quite prejudiced against her to start. I guess I was protecting myself from her potential behaviour but fortunately, I didn't have to. I grew to like Rikki a lot. She had been through a terrible ordeal and was trying to reclaim her life. In doing so, she exposed herself to a great deal of risk and danger. She was strong and resilient as she dealt with obstacle after obstacle and stayed focused on her goal, despite moments of weakness when things got tough and scary. And even though she had a secret which she kept from Quinn, I didn't get too upset with her not telling him about it right away. The timing never seemed right each time she tried, and she did try, several times.
When I met Quinn, I wasn't sure what to make of it. He wasn't presented in the best light initially, as seen through Rikki's eyes. But as I got to know him, he turned out to be loyal, determined and protective. And he would do anything to protect and save the woman he loved. I loved that Quinn was open-minded and understanding, and there were probably times when he could have gone off half-cocked at Rikki, but he never did. He was everything that was kind and patient with her.
By the time I got to the end of the book, I realised I came to this series at the very last book. There was five other books in the series before it. It is a credit to Ms Ericson that I didn't feel I was missing anything major and was able to track through the story even though there were moments where it felt like there were some bigger things and some history that had happened in the past I didn't know about. But those moments were very small and didn't trip me up at all.
Since I enjoyed this book so much, I think I will go back and read the previous books in the series. I want to see how the other members of Quinn's team find the women they fell in love with and lost their hearts to them.

Rikki is presumed dead but she isn't and to find out who's after her she visits Quinn, her ex-lover. He thinks she's dead and has been wallowing in guilt. Together they have to find out who wants them both dead and if they can have a real relationship for the sake of their child. Great storyline and lots of action!
