I really tried to enjoy this book, but it just didn't work for me. Even the special appearance of (spoil starts here) the metal men -one of the most underrated and mishandled comic characters in comic history (spoil stops here) didn't help at all. The story is very (unnecessarily) convoluted and somewhat difficult to follow. I found the effort to do so was not rewarded by the flawed, uneven story line. I found the first issue interesting and slightly eccentric. This one leaves me cold, and worst of all, uninterested.

I am determined to figure out wtf is going on with the Cave Carson series! I'm not convinced I've figured it out yet... Still, it's a good series to recommend to readers who want to read weird comics that make you think.
