Book 2 in the "Worked Up" series, Audrey Gordon has a great job as a Project Manager, and if they can get this job would up without any troubles, then she has great hopes that she will land the Project Manager job for the downtown courthouse project but little did she know that she would be working with an old flame, Jason Roma a man who she has tried not to engage with for the last six years and one that could literally tempt her back to the bottle, something she has worked years to stay off.

This book has lots going on in it, family angst, old lovers and rivals, heartbreak, trouble on the job and plenty of new loving too.

Thoroughly enjoyable as you would expect from any Cora Brent book.

Thanks to Netgalley and Montlake Romance for the opportunity to read and review this book.

NAILED is an enjoyable, second-chance-at-love contemporary romance told from Audrey's first person point of view. There are some light moments, like the banter between Audrey and Jason, that were pretty funny and a wicked delight to read, as well as some tragedy to highlight the important things in life.

I don't particularly like second chance romances, but NAILED is written well, and maybe it helped that the first time Audrey and Jason got together wasn't really a romance. Still, it was nice to see a role reversal here in that it's Jason who got these romantic feelings first, and he had to seduce Audrey into seeing things his way. Audrey was slower on the uptake, probably because of her past, which had made her wary.

Having read the author’s Gentry series and loved it there’s no surprise I enjoyed reading Nailed! Jason and Audrey are enemies turned lovers in this office romance that had me swiping my kindle so quickly!! These two had some previous history and with that comes the slow burn and tension that has them pushing and pulling with their feelings to/for/about each other. Through highs and lows Jason proves to be more and Audrey realizes they may just have more in common than she expected. I enjoyed the characters, the pacing of the relationship and dialogue.....I felt a connection and understanding of what they were facing personally and that is what helped have a better understanding!

Audrey Gordon works all the hours that God sends to prove that she’s not the failure her family believes her to be. She can’t atone for the trouble she put them through in her teens but she tries. She could do without being teamed with Jason Roma on her next project, they have history and he seems intent on a rerun. Loved the interplay and intensity between the characters.

At first I was excited and enjoying the book. Then it jumped right into him being head over heals for her and I just didn't feel the connection. One minute hey were lovey dovey then the next he was pulling away because she wasn't sure it was just to wishy washy for me to really enjoy.

This is such a fun read!I love a good love/hate relationship especially if it is one where I actually really like both of the characters. Jason & Audrey are a great pairing! I really enjoyed their banter and they have such incredible chemistry. Jason really surprised me! Audrey is awesome! They are both a little standoffish to relationships and it is certainly understandable why that is based on their pasts. I’m really liking this new series so far.

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Audrey is a successful project manager who is tasked to work on a major construction project with one of her former lovers. Throughout the book we see the love/hate relationship Audrey has with Jason, as they try to put aside their past to complete their work assignment. We also see Audrey's dysfunctional relationship with her parents and how they have to overcome their past to move forward.

This is a great read. I have enjoyed all of the Cora Brent books I have read and I look forward to reading even more.

This is a story about Audrey a young woman who is fighting for her parent's approval, who is trying to be the most successful project manager in her firm and who is fighting herself on a daily basis because the past and the mistakes she had made as a teenager are still hunting her. She is also fighting her attraction toward her ex-lover and co-worker Jason who is her new partner on a project. In the 6 years, there has a lot happened and Jason is changed he wants Audrey permanent and not just for a fling. Audrey has a lot of insecurities deep down in herself and until a tragedy happens and opens her eyes that show her what really matters in life and what is she missing. Great read it started a bit superficial but toward the end, it becomes more deeper and a story with a message.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Let me start off by saying I started off a little disappointed…not big deal… honest. I was disappointed because I thought this was going to be a Gentry family member book. *Sigh* It is not. No worries… this book was awesome!!! (Just like all of Ms. Brent’s books.)
We start off meeting Audrey, who is a very likeable character even though she is crazy busy and appears to enjoy it. She does like it. We then meet Jason. He bugged me at first… then I fell in love with him. I love how these two characters get together. The way it happens is very believable. I don’t want to give anything away. Check this book out! One-click it. You will not regret it.
This is book 2 in the series, but you can read it as a standalone. You will just miss out on some of the events/people from the first book. I highly recommend this book. Just remember – it is NOT a Gentry book and you will be good to go reading this novel.

Huge fan of Cora's books here!

We open with project manager, Audrey, dealing with the unfortunate incident of the elevator pisser! That made my day!

Then to add insult to injury she gets paired up with her ex fling for a work project! Audrey is not happy! You can see what is coming next+

This was a fun read. Work place romances are fast becoming a hit on my list.

I wished I liked this book. My husband is a civil engineer. I loved the idea that there was a WOMEN engineer in this book. The world needs more women in this profession! But the book didn't live up to my expectations. If anything, I hated the stereotypes that were portrayed.

Nailed is the second book in the Worked Up series. I loved this! Jason and Audrey had a love/hate relationship and are coworkers. I thought they had amazing chemistry and sexual tension! I loved them together! I really loved this series! I hope there are more coming!

I wasn't sure I liked Audrey at first. Although the way she was with her nephews should have clued me in. Jason I loved from Fired. Good to see Dom and Mel, too!

There isn't much to say about this book because I was expecting so much more from Cora! Audrey was just lacking for me I didn't like or but I didn't hate her either I wanted more depth to her character because she was just too average for me. Jason OMG he is just an asshole and in no way could I ever love him I thought maybe I might grow to love him but nope I never could he was just too much for me! Honestly wish I could give a better rating because Cora has written some fantastic books, but this one for me wasn't one of them!

I couldn't wait for this second book in this series after reading "Fired." Fired was my first experience with this author and I remember saying that I wanted to read more so when this became available, I jumped on it and I'm not sorry. I loved Jason and Audrey and their chemistry and back story. This is a lovers to enemies to lovers, kind of second chance romance and it hits all the marks for me. I was happy to see Dom and Mel from Fired making an appearance as well, but you can absolutely read this as a standalone, but I would most definitely recommend reading both books -- excellent contemporary romances! I'm hoping the next book is William's story-...fingers crossed! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

Another great book in the Worked Up series! I absolutely loved this fantastic enemies to lovers story. Jason and Audrey have explosive chemistry and add in the very real life issues and dramas and it was just a fantastic, easy to read story. I really hope William’s story comes next!

I received a complimentary arc from Netgallery for review. I'm a fan of Cora Brent and love her Gentry series. It was nice to see her spin away from the Gentrys while staying in AZ.

I have to admit I struggled with this novel, primarily the heroine, Audrey. She was so prickly and closed off that it made it hard for me at least to like her and root for her. While I love a hate/love story as much as the next person I couldn't quite understand why Jason, the H, wanted to make that leap. I didn't feel an emotional chemistry with these two but that may have just been me.
