Blaire has had two relationships in a row leave her with less than ideal self confidence and trust in men. As half of Dirty Exes, Inc, her goal is to catch cheaters red handed, helping her clients gain the evidence needed for their own needs.
When she learns her latest target is none other than ex-NFL star and her ex-boyfriend, Jessie, she is torn between the feelings she still holds for him, and the desire to get even with him for leaving her behind. And then there’s his best friend, Colin, to add confusion to her emotions. Colin becomes her side kick of sorts as she gathers evidence on Jessie, quickly making her decide what is important in this investigation.
I liked both Colin and Jessie, almost from the beginning. Colin was always quick to have fun, and his reputation fits that bill to a T. I loved his willingness to play along and his divided loyalty added an interesting aspect to the story. I felt bad for Jessie at first, and then found myself questioning him right along side Blaire.
I struggled with parts of this storyline, but I know a lot of my struggle is personal. I have a harder time, in general, with both love triangles and suspicions of cheating in plots. This book has both, which made it difficult for me to fall in love quickly. I also had a hard time finding things about each of the characters that I liked. Blaire is holding on to past hurts in a way that makes her come off as whiny and bitter, while Jessie and Colin are both a little on the flat side.
I am glad that I continued through the aspects that challenged me though, because I enjoyed the end of the book immensely. All the questions and secrets that are teased throughout the book are answered with a resolution that is satisfying for all characters.
This is an angsty, secret-filled, and entertaining. This is also the first of a new series, and a spin-off of Matchmakers Playbook. Blaire is Matchmaker’s Ian’s sister and I liked the little name drops throughout. I am looking forward to more from this fun, quirky series in Ilsa’s book.
I recieved a Netgalley arc in exchange for an honest review.

I loved it! Great characters, lots of humor and emotional. A nice comeuppance for those that deserved it. :) I can't wait to see what's in store for Jessie and Isla.

★★★★☆
I really enjoyed this book! If you’ve read the Matchmakers series then you will have met Blaire briefly, as she’s Ian’s sister, I was so intrigued by her story that I always hoped Rachel would write a book about her and now I have my wish! I read somewhere that it was written like a screenplay and I actually really kind of loved that, it gave it a unique hook but it still had that addictive writing style that I’ve come to know and love from Rachel.
I genuinely 110% loved Blaire and Isla, I thought their friendship is brilliant and I really loved their banter, I couldn’t help but think that I would really love to work alongside them because they just seem really awesome, plus their crusade is something I could easily get behind. I was really iffy about Colin... I’m not going to lie he kind of rubbed me the wrong way for a while, and I can’t really put my finger on the reason why, but for whatever reason it was just the way I felt... He grew on me though and by the end of the book I really loved him! I really felt for Jessie, poor guy was stuck in a really rubbish situation, I mean I actually get why he chose his career given that him and Blaire were only dating for a few weeks... But having said that, you can tell how much they meant to each other in that short amount of time and that he was most definitely Blaire’s “What if?” guy and vice versa for him.
Dirty Exes is told from multiple POVs which is honestly my favourite way to read... I love jumping into each characters mind and seeing things from their POV, and I think it was crucial to have the different POVs with this book, it helped build suspense and I was left reeling plenty of times! The story is full of twists and turns that kept me guessing right until that inevitable car crash moment.
Another fantastic book from a truly fantastic author, I can’t wait for the second one!!!

"Be my adventure."
I loathe love triangles, and RVD is only one of a few authors who I will break my "No Tri" rule for. Despite my preconceived angst, I adored this book immensely. It's one of my favorites from this author in recent memory. It was helpful that it seemed obvious right away who would end up as a couple.
There is a lot of humor and a small splash of emotion to make this a perfect summer read. I look forward to the next installment of the series. Don't let the premise keep you away; this is a feel good romance.
Thank you to the author for my advanced review copy.

When Blaire finds out that her husband cheated on her with her best friend, she’s devasted. By chance, she meets Isla who’s also just found out she has a cheating husband. They become friends and decide to start a company called “Dirty Exes Private Investigation”. On behalf of wary wifes and husbands they investigate their partners and try to catch them cheating or try to seduce them themselves. But then they get a new request which turns out to be a lot more complicated for Blaire than she thought at first. The husband accused of cheating is none other than the guy she calls ‘the one that got away’.
“Dirty Exes” was an amazing book and I really enjoyed reading it. It was so much fun and overall, the story was super entertaining. I pretty much flew through the first half of the novel in one sitting and then through the second half in another one. In fact, it’s been several months since I’ve last read through a book in such a short period of time, so this definitely speaks in the book’s favor.
I also really liked the characters in this book; especially Colin was amazing and so much fun to read about. Furthermore, I even enjoyed the love triangle in “Dirty Exes” even though I’m not the biggest fan of them. But this love triangle was really well done and for a long time I wasn’t really sure which of the guys I wanted Blaire to choose which only made the book even more interesting to me.
So all in all, I really loved this novel and just need to give it five out of five stars. I also feel like Rachel van Dyken is slowly becoming one of my favorite authors. So far, I’ve really enjoyed most of her novels I’ve read and I already can’t wait to read “Dangerous Exes”, the sequel to “Dirty Exes”, which will come out in October of this year.

ahhh this book ........ I couldnt decide which one I wanted to cheer for. oh jessie wait no Collin it went on and on for a bit lol. anyway once again Rachel Van Dyken has out done herself and blessed us with another amazing story. Girl just please never stop writing. this book is a 4 star must read that u will love.

I love all things RVD so when I was having trouble getting into Dirty Exes, I started getting nervous that I wasn't going to like this book. I shouldn't have worried though because this book ended up being great!
I'm not usually a fan of love triangles and I think that's why I was struggling to get into this but I loved how the story played out and the introduction to this series. One of the things that kept this from being a 5 star for me was that Blair came off more NA than a 35-year-old and while I haven't finished reading the Matchmaker's Playbook yet, some of the things about Blair in her brother Ian's book were not consistent. I did end up loving these characters and I can't wait to see what happens in Dangerous Exes!!
*This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

An entertaining light, playful, and all the romantic quirks that we can expect from Rachel Van Dyken!!!! Dirty Exes was one of those reads that you will devour instantly. Although this book may be a love triangle of some sorts, I will tell you that you will like the outcome of the story. Trust me when I tell you, you may experience a roller coaster of emotions but in the end RVD will have you smiling big time. So if you are looking for a book that was full of humor, romance, banter, and steam then this book is for you!!!!

Dirty Exes is the feel good vindication everyone needs. It doesn't matter if you've been cheated on or not! Sticking it to the bad guy is fun! Unless he isn't the bad guy...
No matter what these women get their...perp. Criminal. Philanderer. Douchebag. I love the premise because it's fun. I loved the story because....it's fun. But I loved the tie into other books via certain characters more! I love the connections. I love the reminders of stories not yet finished or past situations. It causes an extra bond to the book and story. So of course of was a squealing preteen when I realized who Colin was- I was slowest forming that link.
Dirty Exes is the fun and flirty book you need now! And it's even better because I saw a book two is pending (wiggles eyebrows)!!

The latest assignment for the company has Blaire trying to unearth the ‘dirt’ on an NFL star. What Blaire quickly learned was the target was none other than Jessie Beckett. The guy that left Blaire to pursue his dreams of playing football for the pros has just come back into the picture, and Blaire cannot keep this assignment ‘cut and dry’. Jessie knows that Blaire was the one that got away, and wants to spend more time with the gal that still makes him want more for his life.
One thing that will make things harder for Blaire to perform her investigation is the push and pull between Jessie and his best friend. Colin is everything that Jessie is not. From the man-bun to the snake tattoo, Colin is the exact opposite of Jessie. While trying to end his marriage, Jessie pulled the ‘friend code’ on Colin where Blaire is concerned. That might be easier said than done as Colin feels an extremely intense connection to Blaire. Two men vying for the attention of one gal who is so unsure of her ‘worth’. How will this triad handle the intensity? Only time will tell which man will win the heart of the gal that never thought she was worthy for love.
What an interesting concept for a new series!!! The investigation that Blaire and her friends do to even the playing field for ‘cheaters’ is intriguing and gives me the giggles imagining the antics. From the very beginning, I found myself drawn into Blaire’s plight to uncover the ‘dirt’ on Jessie, and decide how her feelings from the past will affect the assignment. While Jessie seemed to be a good guy, I couldn’t help my desire for Colin to be the man to win Blaire’s heart. Two completely different men that have a deeper connection that one could imagine.
Both are solely invested in just how much their individual attractions are to Blaire. Readers will find themselves straddling the fence when secrets come to light that could affect which man SHOULD win the heart of the gal that definitely deserves to find that one true love. A great beginning to a series that seems to be full of exciting things to come!!

I am a huge RVD fan, she writes books with characters that get you sucked into their world so easily and i always become so invested int he story i find it hard to put the book down, and this book is the case. A lost love, a cheater and a huge dose of laughs and romance made this book an absolute delight to read, it was great to see characters from her other series appear, but do not worry you can read this book before others. The course of love in a RVD book is filled with emotions, laughter and swooning and i loved it :)

This book was so refreshing! All the characters were swoon worthy, funny, confident, insecure, filled with mistakes and regrets. Human. There’s not enough good things to say about this book. I loved every minute. Reviews aren’t my strong suit. All you need to know is that you should give this a chance.
I can’t wait for the next installment.

I really enjoyed this spin-off of the Matchmaker's Playbook ( a favorite). There is a love triangle this tale but I enjoyed the drama. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Thanks to Skyscape Publishing for the ARC of this title via NetGalley.

After Blaire and her best friend Isla were both married to cheating husbands they decided to form Dirty Exes, a PI firm that tracks down unfaithful spouses and exposes them for all to see. When Blaire starts her next investigation she finds out he is none other than Jessie, the professional football player who broke heart by choosing the sport over her.
There is much more to Jessie’s relationship than first appears but now that Blaire is back in his life he is beginning to wonder if they should have been together all along. If that isn’t complicated enough his best friend Colin has feelings for Blair that he hasn’t had for a long time and if the only way for Colin to get the girl is to help her then she will find herself with an assistant.
With two very different men vying for her attention will she choose the man from her past or the man who has just crashed into her life?
This is a fun and flirty story that takes you on an adventure filled with humorous banter and hot chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

There is no other form of revenge for cheaters than exposing them for the world to see. But what happens when the man you're hired to expose is the one you can't forget? A fabulous beach read to escape the day-to-day schedule. Discover a fast read that's hot, adventurous and has a plot twist you won't see until the very end.
I can't wait to read more from Rachel!

Dirty Exes was super fun and packed full of wit and humor and the kind of book that you can just comfortably lose yourself in for a few hours and then be left feeling all warm and fuzzy come the end. That's not to say that there isn't some drama and some deeper seated issues that are brushed on. The characters were really likable and the story itself was engaging. Dirty Exes is a complete stand alone read and well worth picking up as it's a really enjoyable book. I very much look forward to the next book in this series.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher via NetGalley; there was no inducement or obligation and I have opted to leave a review.

Blaire, sister to Ian (matchmakers playbook), works and owns Dirty Exes. A PI business aimed at catching cheaters. After finding her husband in bed with her best friend, she turns to wine and comes face to face with a woman experiencing the same thing: a cheating husband. Now these two women are running their own business helping others. Next client on the list,Jessie, blaire's one that got away only he's the possible cheater. Throw in jessie's best friend, the client/ wife and some great whiskey and you've got a spy girl story. Second chance romance or new lease on life.

NICUnurse’s Rating: I give Dirty Exes a solid 4.5 stars. It’s a quick, fun, light-hearted read (for the most part… I mean, it IS a romcom, so there are a few serious parts interspersed). You’ll laugh, cringe, and laugh some more. You’ll fall in love with Blaire and Colin. And you’ll even fall a bit for Jesse along the way. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

This one had me on the edge of my seat! Rachel Van Dyken never disappoints and Dirty Exes had all the things I love! Great banter, low angst, steam steam steam!!! This was a perfect summer read!

4 1/2 STARS
I'm not sure how she comes up with her story lines, but she sucks me in every time. Not only that, but to me, the story lines are original. I would definitely recommend this one to any reader.
