A wonderful book and all of the quotes inside of the book I remember Ali saying at one time or another. His famous “Float like a butterfly sting like a bee. Rumble young man rumble”. Before the Sonny Liston fight in 1964, but we only remember the first part. “I ‘m the king of the world!” After defeating Sonny Liston. In 1966 “I ain’t got no quarrel with them Vietcong”. Why he refused to serve in the Army. There are more quotes in this book but for me these were the ones that stood out. I remembered them growing up in the sixties and watching him box. This book is filled with more and with pictures some never seen before and a few stories. Overall a good book.

Ali On Ali is a compilation of the most well-known of Mohammed Ali's quotes as well as the context and philosophy behind them.

WHO WOULD ENJOY READING IT?
Fans of the boxer would love the pictures, the quotes, the historical references, and relive some of "The Greatest"'s victories over powerful rivals.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IT
Mohammed Ali's daughter is one of the authors of this book - this lends a bit of authenticity to the experiences and perspectives recorded. From her view, we are able to see how Mohammed Ali saw his rivals, what boxing meant to him, as well as his personal politics.

Ali On Ali: Why He Said What He Said When He Said It by Hana Ali and Danny Peary is available to buy on all major online bookstores. Many thanks to Workman Publishing Company for review copy.

I like to thank Netgalley and Workman Publishing Company giving me a opportunity for reading this great book of Muhammad Ali Quotes.

Muhammad Ali is one of my favourite sports person. My father used to say about Ali’s boxing talent to me. Muhammad Ali paid a visit to India in January 1980, and he stayed in Chennai and did an exhibition bout in old Nehru Stadium arranged by Tamil Nadu Amateur Boxing Association and a private sponsor Apeejay group. He did a fight with former heavy weight champion Jimmy Ellis. The function was presided by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MGR, who is a sport enthusiast.

I liked the book so much and I strongly recommend every Muhammad Ali fans should have. And I came to know that Ali also wrote some poem. The book has beautiful photos of Ali in the ring and some with his family & friends.

The book is full of quotes of Ali. The writer has given brief description for each quote when it was said and for whom. Most of his quotes are hilarious some are thought provoking. My most liked quotes of Ali is given below.

1. If you even dream of beating me you'd better wake up and apologize.
2. I understand you have a queen of England but you don't have a king.
3. I ain't Superman. If the fans think I can do everything I say I can do then they're crazier than I am.
4. The man who will whup me will be fast strong, and hasn't been born yet.
5. I hated every minute of training. But I said, Don't Quit. Suffer now, and live the rest of your life as a champion.
6. I've seen George Foreman shadow boxing and the shadow won.
Poem (March 1963)
Marcellus vanquished Carthage
Cassius laid Julius Caesar low.
And Clay will flatten Dough Jones
With a mighty, muscled blow.
And my most favourite one is the 7th quote.
7. Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

Muhammad Ali was my hero, so I was really looking forward to this book compiled by his daughter Hana Ali.I was not disappointed, the book is full of quotes made by the great man and Hana supplies a little background to where and when it was used. There are many photos, some very familiar and others I saw for the very first time. I read this book in one sitting and I always knew I would enjoy it but was surprised by the waves of emotion I experienced throughout. Muhammad Ali was an exceptional boxer and very likely the greatest sportsman of all time, but he was so much more . He was at one time the most well known face on the planet, a man of faith, verse and pure genius. The book is full of his many quotes, some funny and very thought provoking that sent shivers down my spine.
A great book but reading it on my pc did not really do it justice. This book is a perfect coffee table book and in my opinion should be viewed in a large colour edition for full effect. A must read for anyone like me who was an hardened fan but also eye opening and inspirational for everyone else. There was only one Muhammad Ali, the greatest.
