Everyday Ayurveda Cooking for a Calm, Clear Mind is a nice read for anyone looking for an introduction to Ayurveda, or a new, all natural tool in the search for a stress-less life. It will undoubtedly cause you to want to learn more. In which case, the book has done its job. O’Donnell has written an easy to understand guide to Ayurveda… complete with recipes you’ll seriously consider trying.

For a book that I didn’t think I’d love, it’s been quite influential. Once you read it, you can’t unlearn the fact that your food has more power over your mind and body than you could have imagined.

This title is a little misleading-you might think it's just a cookbook, but it's really an excellent reference for ayurvedic health practice. The first hundred pages or so are background information on ayurvedic principals, which were extremely helpful and developed the idea of why a person might need to cook these recipes. The rest of the book has clear, well written recipes that are delicious and easy to prepare. I'm going to order this one, RIGHT NOW.

A different cookbook format, though I am not sure if its the friendliest for everyday use.

I wasn't able to view any of the photos. That is why this gets 4 stars instead of 5. The text itself was enlightening and instructive. I really enjoyed the charts and tips.

This is a great book for those who want a detailed explanation of Ayurveda cooking; I'm very familiar with it and had hoped the book to be a bit more recipe-focused, however this is a great resource for those interested in beginning an Ayurvedic lifestyle.

Another one of those books where there are so many things out of it that I want to make note of that I'm simply going to need to purchase the book. It breaks down Ayurvedic principles, discusses the history and science behind them, and then offers up solutions (both physical and nutritional) for achieving harmony and maximizing your energy potential.

I find Ayurvedic medicine and diet fascinating, so I read almost any book on it that I can. Some books say most of what I already have read before. Not this book, I read so much information that I had never known. This is one of the best books I have ever read on eating and drinking an Ayurvedic diet to maintain balance in the whole body and mind.
