I really enjoyed this one! Godforsaken Grapes is a great mix of travel writing, wine history, and personal exploration. Jason Wilson has a witty, approachable style that made me feel like I was tagging along on a slightly tipsy adventure through wine regions I’d never even heard of.
What I liked most was how the book celebrates lesser-known and underappreciated wines—it made me want to branch out from my usual go-to bottles and try something completely different. Some parts are a little heavy on the wine world insider talk, but overall it stays fun and accessible.
A great read for anyone who loves wine, travel, or just discovering the stories behind what ends up in your glass.

A delightful book exploring little known wines made from grapes you've probably never heard of. Part travelogue, part wine guide, parr memoirs, it's a charming book that has whetted my appetite for these wines.

What an informative and interesting book about wine. A journey across continents to meet wine lovers and winemakers and wine drinkers. Far more than a coffee table book.

I love this book! The author takes you by the arm with him while traveling, eating and drinking wine. I found myself chuckling and smiling while reading the book. I also had the intense desire to eat gorgonzola dolce while reading the chapter on prosecco. If you like wine and want to be more knowledgable without being a snob, grab this book.
