Review Blind Devotion is a big departure from the MC series she is known for. Max and Alina have an instant spark between them and decide to see where it leads. I was worried I wouldn't like this book as much as her others but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this book.

This book! I loved it!!! I've read a lot of Sandra's books and this is different than her MC series. Max is similar as the men in the MC books as he's just as cocky and alpha and hot as the MC men. Max is the hot, cocky, braggart you meet at the bar and end up falling for him.

Alina is a do-gooder who is trying to fall in line with her dad's plan for her: marriage to a man of his choosing and she will inherit the law firm. Except Max. Oh Max. Alina meets Max and all bets are off. She's insanely attracted to Max but he isn't her fiance...

So much happens in this story but it's not overloaded and flows perfectly. You fall hard for Max and root for him and Alina to work their way through everything!

This is the first story I have read by S. Nelson and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book.I loved the idea of a forbidden romance between these two characters and the way that they had to work out how to be together. I instantly loved the connection the characters had together and was cheering them on to be together.

Alina was an incredible caring character that did what she could to help people out. I loved her selflessness throughout the story and the passion she had for her job.

Max was a sexy male character that had me swooning with the way that he wanted to be with Alina. I loved how he was there for her when times were tuff for her. I really felt for him when he described things that happened during his life before he met Alina.

S. Nelson has an incredible writing style and has a grea5ability to describe what is happening 8n the story so well that I could picture it happening in my head like a movie. This story had everything I love in a Book, angst, drama, emotion, steamy moments and romance. This is a definite one click for everyone

I have fallen in love with S Nelson's writing with her brilliant MC series and I was excited and nervous about this new book but it was brilliant. She has knocked it out of the park with this one. She has brought us a flawless story that flowed beautifully, and the characters are engaging and raw.

I could not put this book down. Move over Ryder you have been replaced in my heart with Max!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the author and Next Step PR

I've been a fan of this author's work since her MC series and couldn't wait to read one of her contemporary romance books! Blind Devotion is nothing but a lot of sizzle and angst between the pages.

Alina Winthrop is a dedicated lawyer who wants to help those in need. She works for her father at one of the most powerful law offices. Her father wants the best for her, even though he doesn't see it as controlling. He hand-picked the "perfect fiancé" for her, but Alina isn't ready. She wants a relationship based on love. I like Alina' character, she seemed to be a push-over, but she was far from it. She is feisty and knows what she wants.

And Max Colter noticed that feistiness in her right away! Max is a newly single man and not ready for anything serious. But when he meets Alina everything changes. There's something about her, that makes him want to protect her. Max just started at the same firm with Alina and their attraction causes a lot of mess.

S Nelson's writing is quite brilliant and her latest book reflects this. Her latest book is very different from her last series, which was about MC men. In her latest book, Blind Devotion, you have lawyers instead of MC as the profession. Max replaces Ryder for me as alpha dream BBF for he was sexy, intriguing, cocky, at times sweet and hot lawyer. He is the man you want representing you if you needed a lawyer. He has come to town after his personal life imploded and he is starting over fresh. Alina is the daughter of the head of the firm and a lawyer in her own right. Only thing is her father is controlling her life…in many ways. She is such a good person yet she lacks confidence. Alina is a very kind and giving person yet she lacks certain things in her life. She is being pressured into things and there is this push with no real reason shown in the beginning yet as soon as she meets Max, there is this immediate spark, this chemistry between them. Max is the exact opposite of Alina yet he is kind to her and draws her out of this shell she has around herself. I loved that about him. I liked Max and Alina together. They had this chemistry and their story had this mystery, this intrigue on top of the romance. Max is irresistible while Alina is the good girl gone rouge for the bad boy. It works for this type of story. There are ups and downs on this emotional journey that these two go on together. Alina’s life goes thru a change, question is , will Max go on that change or is just there for the first stop on her journey?
This is one story that you do not want to miss. Young lawyers in love is a song that played in my head when I read this story. S. Nelson's writing style had me glued to this book from start to end once the book picked up from the slow start. There was enough angst , intrigue and romance that had me going until the very end.

My Rating: 4.6 stars *****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."

The blurb as well as the cover for Blind Devotion by S. Nelson really caught my attention and since I'd never read anything by this author, I couldn't wait to find out more about Alina and this arranged marriage of hers.

The story sort of started out slow, in fact, one night lasted through several chapters, but I could feel that the plot was building. I immediately took a disliking to Alina's father. For someone so powerful and so high up in the law firm, he never gave his daughter enough credit. And for Alina to be a lawyer, I felt she truly lacked confidence. I wanted her to be strong-minded and tough, to stand up for herself, especially where Chris, her soon-to-be husband, was concerned.

I could sense a different side to Alina when she was around Max though, the mysterious gentleman she meets at the charity function hosted by her father. Max empowers her and it's obvious the two have chemistry. Max is a bit of a mystery but I like him from the very first time we meet him. He's sexy and intriguing, someone that could add to Alina's life. To me, Max totally made this story complete. He was eye-catching and very irresistible, someone that was hard to say no to.

I thoroughly enjoyed S. Nelson's writing style and she kept me glued to the pages once the story really started to take off. I also really liked the way the story played out and it ended up being so much more than I expected.

"His lips were like sin, his tongue marking me for danger."

I was intrigued by the synopsis of Blind Devotion because it was so mysterious. And I'm just nosy like that. I want to know what, when, where, why and how. And when there's a sexy lawyer involved, even better.

Alina was a contradiction from the get-go. She seemed both submissive and feisty at the same time. I couldn't figure out why she was making choices that she obviously wasn't happy with. But one thing that was crystal clear and I had no problems understanding was the immediate chemistry between her and Max. From their first glance at each other sparks flew. While Alina was trying to smother them, I was fanning them, hoping for an explosion.

Max is sex in a suit. When he walks into a room, the women go on alert, hoping to catch his eye. But there's only one that has his attention. Too bad he can't have her.

Alina fights her feelings for Max. "My brain told me to push him away, but my heart told me to cling to him." She can't deny the connection she feels with Max, but that doesn't change the situation she finds herself in. That doesn't remove the obstacle that stands in their way. Max is a lawyer. He's used to getting what he wants. He's good with words and can persuade a jury to see things his way. Can he convince her? All's fair in love and war, right? So playing dirty is allowed if the result is that he wins his case. And let me tell you, his version of dirty is delicious!
