Becoming the Talbot Sisters: A Novel of Two Sisters and the Courage That Unite Them is a pretty good read. I enjoyed learning and seeing the differences between the sisters, Charlie and Waverley. The story has a mixture of emotions that made their story flow. I give Becoming the Talbot Sisters four stars and hope to read more by Rachel Linden in the future. This is most definitely a must read and I recommend it.

This is a mixed bag of a book, part romantic fiction and part serious, issue driven novel. Waverly is the host of a cooking show, with a loving husband but an inability to have children. Her twin sister, Charlie, is alone, working abroad when uncovering a women trafficking ring. The relationship of the sisters was primary to the book, but their stories and differences feel like a stretch. I enjoyed reading it but not sure which type of audience will appreciate both aspects.

I received this ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.
I read half of this book but could not seem to connect with the story or the characters. With so many other options I did decide not to finish the book, though I believe that I have several patrons that I can recommend this title to.

Well written and an easy read this book was a 4 1/2 stars. I liked how it was written and really draws you in but I wish more focus was given to human trafficking, I thought the kidnapping at the end would tie into human trafficking and found it slightly bizarre what is was instead.
The characters were decent but a bit distant at times, still I loved the internationally flavor and the story of reconciliation. I would certainly try another book by this author in the future.

The Talbot twins have grown apart since their foray into adulthood. One, a successful Food Network host yearns for a family of her own. The second, an international aid worker, is running from a secret that haunts her. Brought together by the death of the aunt who raised them, Charlie and Waverly begin an adventure that ceases to amaze. What could easily have become a trite "sisters novel", this story brings depth with each woman's search for becoming once-again whole, through journeys political, familial, and heart-wrenching acts of selflessness and bravery.
