I thoroughly enjoyed this piece of escapism and my time out from a hectic world. The story grabs you from the outset and pulls you in and the storytelling really made it worth reading. Characterisation was on point and I know I will be looking out for new publications from this author or similar in the future. A recommended read.

This was a quick and easy to read book. Ideal for holidays, especially to Paris.
There are some places that I recognised.
A feel good read.

This is the first book I read by Rebecca Raisin and I’ve got to say I regret not reading the previous ones, from The Little Paris Collection. Not because it affects the reading of this book but because I really enjoyed it and I want, I need, more
In The Little Perfume Shop off the Champs-Élysées we find a story that is sweet but also deep and complex. A story about dreams, about not giving up on them and about following your heart.
I love all things French, so reading a book set in Paris was great and I really liked the part of the Perfumery. It was refreshing and different and very interesting to read.
I liked the characters, I related to Del. She’s my age and it was nice to say I’m not the only one struggling with life plans and finding love. I loved Sebastien, he was so sweet!
The story is easy to read, its light and fast paced and I found it inspiring and uplifting.
I deeply enjoyed it, however, I thought the final part was a little bit rushed and abrupt. I’d have loved to know more about Del and the choice she made. An epilogue would have been great. But I really liked it nonetheless.

A delightfully romantic tale. I loved how the author described Paris. It was a magical trip delighting senses in every sense of the word. Del and her twin sister have a dream to open their own perfume shop in New York. For the love of a man her sister leaves her dream behind leaving Del holding the bag when she doesn't have the financial backing to open the shop on her own. Armed with her grandmother's notebook of scent formulas and notes she goes off to the city of love, Paris to compete in a perfume competition that if she wins will fund her dreams. This was a fun chicklit romance that is the perfect summer holiday read.

I didn't finish this book, it was just a little bland for my liking. I needed more from these characters like drama and sexual tension just something that really keeps your attention past chapter 3. Sorrry, just not the book for me.

Del sees what her goal is and is going for it with all her might but she kind of gets sidetracked.

Will an attraction get Del off her course? Read this sweet enticing novel that lets competitiom build up until you get exactly what you were hoping for. This novel gets 5 stars! I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 3rd book I've read in this series and I have loved them all. I enjoyed reading about the creativity involved in making perfume. I sat down and read through the entire book in one day! Thanks to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this novel in exchange for an honest review.

I love it when I read something fictional and learn facts. I never realised mixing perfume was so complex - actually I never really thought about perfume much at all, except whether I liked the smell or not. And Ms Raisin took me to places in Paris I never knew existed.

A lovely story of self-belief and self-discovery from start to finish.

Out of these three Paris books the first one, The Little Bookshop On the Seine, has been my stand out favourite, I absolutely loved that book, but this one comes in at a very close second. For the first few pages we meet Del and see her arrive in Paris meeting some of the other people involved in the competition, it’s a quiet start and then suddenly off it takes and my feet barely touched the ground. I ran around Paris, mixed perfumes, visited other areas, met lots of people, struggled with the noise of the competitors and learnt more about perfume, including the fact that actually I wasn’t completely ignorant on the subject.

This is a whirlwind of a story, you get caught up in Del’s competition, trying to decide whether you can or should trust any of the competitors, trying to work out what they are up to, if anything. You spend time exploring Paris (I always love this part!) and feel Del’s struggles with confidence as she has trouble believing in herself. And then there is Sebastien who is a complicated mixture, he reminds me of Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, he talks and can be interested and caring but at other times is almost sullen and withdrawn.

Rebecca Raisin has a way of writing that is so evocative, it brings each and every scene to life. I genuinely felt as if I was wandering round Paris with all the sights and sounds that come with it. There are other scenes set elsewhere (not saying where as that would spoil it!) and while those are places I never visited before (unlike Paris) I could immediately see and smell everything there. The pace and feel of the story changed dramatically in these other places and that came across very strongly to me. It was almost like running a marathon and then going for a leisurely walk. The characters are also well-described, each one has their own characteristics and mannerisms that make them so realistic you could easily bump into them on the street.

In short, this is a fabulous book. In reading I was transported somewhere almost magical and at the same cosy and welcoming. If you want something to transport you from the dreary weather (snow in April!), where you can meet realistic and, for some, larger than life characters and visit Paris without needing to leave the comfort of your sofa then this is the book for you.

Del is from a small town in Michigan and has grown up learning about perfume from her beloved Nan and it is her dream to open a boutique scent shop in New York with her twin Jen, but after the death of her Nan and her sister pulling out of the New York plan after falling in love, she decides to enter a competition in Paris where she could get the chance to stay there for six months and learn about perfume from the best in the business....... but when she arrives is she as good as she thought she was...... and then there is Sebastian!

A lovely book, great characters and storyline all within the perfect setting of Paris and a perfect end to the Paris trilogy I have really enjoyed them all

What a lovely light and uplifting book. I loved the characters, I loved how Del could only be herself and how she grew over the challenge, how she didn't play games to try to win and how she pushed herself to live outside of her comfort zone. I loved Lex And Lila both down to earth real people following their hopes and dreams as Del was doing. I even liked the less likeable characters, they all played their part in shaping the story. I am not a perfume wearer at all, and I've never really given much thought to what goes into making that perfect perfume, I loved the descriptions that Rebecca used to describe the emotions and feelings of the scents, I could almost imagine I was there smelling them myself. I will definitely be looking at reading some more of Rebecca Raisin's books.

Thanks to NetGalley and HQ Digital for a copy in return for an honest review.

Leclére Perfumery in Paris is hosting a competition: win the competition and get a cash prize, six months in Paris, a line of your own scents and plenty of opportunities to work with mentors and perfumers. This is just the boost that Del needs, especially after her twin sister Jen bailed on their plan to move from their sleepy Michigan town to New York to open a small boutique scent shop. Growing up, Del had worked tirelessly with her Nan, learning how to recognize and blend scent: and now, feeling the loss of her keenly, she’s hit a point of grief where the boost in confidence she got from being accepted into the competition is competing with her fear that she’s lost her gift of creation, but she’s in Paris to compete, learn and win the prize to make her dreams of a New York shop a reality.

Sébastien Leclére, the reclusive owner and son of the famous Victor feels as if he’s been bludgeoned into the contest. Through all of the interviews and the process to find the six contestants, he’s been absent, leaving the task to his mother. He dislikes Paris, wants little to do with the all-encompassing world of scent creation, and misses his father terribly – to the point that he’s agreed to stick with the contest only long enough to find a winner, then turning the operation over to the management team. There’s an instant spark with he and Del though, and when he’s assigned to be her mentor after several encounters that have Del shown in the most embarrassing situations, the two meet, and a connection of sorts is born.

The contest is not without pitfalls, however. Other contestants from the coldly brusque and single-minded Anastasia, to Karen and Chloe – a Brit and a Parisienne with their own subtle (or not so) ways of undermining the others, to Lex, an older man with the weight of the world on his shoulders to Lili, a chemist with controlling parents and a need to succeed, Del’s got to find her own strength and path, despite the obstacles from contestants to creation that come her way.

Through the scents and scenes in Paris and France, Del finds the keys to the contest: it’s not for a new nose or creation but the ultimate gift from Victor to his son, hoping to reignite his creativity and love for the world of scent and the possibilities within. Dealing with her own grief over the loss of her Nan, to what she sees as a betrayal from her twin to the difficulties she has without a solid five year plan after her parents’ rather offhanded approach to responsibility, Del has to let go in the moment, and capture the essence of what it means to live in a scent – a scent that will open doors and provide her with the life she never knew she wanted.

Lovely and atmospheric from the bits of history and scenery to the evocative scent profiles, struggles and growth – the story just keeps on giving back to readers. I meant to read only a bit of this at a time, wanting it to last: I looked up to discover I had devoured it in one sitting - happily. Raisin has mixed emotion, growth, scents and scenes into a story that feels approachable and real, and most of all, grounded in the hope and shine of Paris.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

THE LITTLE PERFUME SHOP OFF THE CHAMPS-ÈLYSÈES by Rebecca Raisin is a stunning romance that will melt your heart while taking you on a magical trip through stunning Paris, delighting your senses every step of the way.

Del has arrived in Paris to take part in a perfume competition that could change her life, even if it has changed a lot recently with her twin sister changing her mind on their plans and falling in love. And as the competition heats up, Del will have to push her skills that she learned from her beloved Nan to the limits if she is to exceed the exacting standards from the best in the industry. As she struggles to bottle true feelings, Del tries to listen to the advice that her Nan had always given her and open her heart, and with fate constantly throwing the brooding Sebastien into her path, can Del really let herself go and follow her heart rather than her head? With crazy contestants, beautiful aromas that feel like they drift off the page, and the stunning backdrop of the city of light, who knows what could happen ...

I loved this book as I have loved all of Rebecca Raisin's novels but this one is my favourite so far!! The characters are rich in detail, relatable, and you feel really invested in them as you delve into their lives. The setting is stunning as always but the added element of perfume and all of the intricacies that it entails really brings the beauty of Paris to a whole new level. I devoured this book in a few hours and as I came to the end I really didn't want it to finish and that is the magical element of Rebecca Raisin's books - they make you never want to leave!

If you love adventure, friendship, self-discovery, and romance that will make your heart soar, then THE LITTLE PERFUME SHOP OFF THE CHAMPS-ÈLYSÈES by Rebecca Raisin is the book for you - in fact, buy everything that this author writes because she never disappoints. A superb story, as always.

This is the third book in The Little Paris Collection but each story can be read as a standalone however, I'd highly recommend reading each story in the collection because you will be intoxicated by the beauty of these stories set in the city of light (love).  The books in the series are:
The Little Bookshop on the Seine
The Little Antique under the Eiffel Tower
The Little Perfume Shop off the Champs-Elysees
I absolutely adore stories set in Paris, I get swept away with the magic of the streets, icons and chic of the city.  Rebecca Raisin once again has taken me to the delights of Paris.  This was an evocative tale of following your dreams but also accepting that sometimes your dreams may need a little deviation along the way and also the helping hand of others to open your eyes to the clues that will lead you to the most loveliest of possibilities.
I loved this storyline of a search for a new star in perfumery.  Perfumery experts from all around the world were shortlisted to attend the final few challenges set in an esteemed perfumery in Paris.  This perfumery was a dream for it's creator who sadly is no longer with us, his son Sebastien is still grieving for his father.  Sebastien is like a lost soul at the moment and has lost his love for the trade which took more than his father from him.
Del has travelled from America and learned all her perfumery skills from her late grandmother.  Del has a five year plan and winning this competition would be the first step in achieving her goal.  However, since her gran's death she has struggled with certain elements of perfumery.  Maybe Del needs to experience more aspects of life to enable her to fill in the gaps in her skill.
I loved all the challenges in the competition, there were the usual competitors in attendance, the highly competitive and the shy individuals hiding in the shades.  Del's character was very likeable she was sensitive to other's feelings and emotions and was a sort of whisperer when it came to prescribing scents and aromas to heal the heart and soul of others but could she put this into practice in helping herself?  The challenges took you on a journey through the streets of Paris to the aromatic and colourful fields of Provence.  Del had another challenge in addition to the perfume competition and this was a challenge she didn't expect but her heart and soul was being put to the test also.
Rebecca Raisin has taken you on a wonderful sensory journey with this story, she has sensitively dealt with the poignant emotions of grief with new friends amongst a new city bringing with it new possibilities in life and love. Gorgeous and romantic story that filled me with warmth and I didn't want it to end.

I have a bit of a love affair with anything Paris related. So when I saw this book I wanted to read it. I thought it would be a cute read. I wasn't wrong. But it was more than that.

The story is about Del who travels to Paris from her home in Michigan to compete in a perfume competition (similar to Survivor, but with perfume). There is a mysterious man she bumps into on the first day in Paris - and I am like, yeah, I know where this is going. I was setting it up to be your typical romance-y type of book. There is not anything wrong with that.

As I got further into the book, there was more depth to the story than I had anticipated. Not to give the story away, (because you should be able to discover it when you read it), but it was about independence, and about Del finding herself and her self-confidence. I got swept up in the narrative and was rooting for Del the whole time. And, (in my head) I was yelling at her to stop making silly assumptions.

The descriptions of Paris, to me, were spot on. I felt like I was back there. My feet sympathy hurt with Del while she was walking all over the city. And I had a hankering for a chocolate croissant and a coffee. Then I started googling flights to Paris (I kid).

The characters seemed well rounded and believable. The romance part of the story (I won't spill the beans on that!) for me, was well thought out and executed. It made sense to me (I wasn't sitting there rolling my eyes at it).

The upside to the book is that I learned a lot about perfume and how it's made. That was pretty cool.

This is the third book in the 'Little Paris Collection'. I hadn't read any other books by this author before, but I am definitely going to keep her in mind! And I totally want to read the other two books in the series.

Overall this was a delightful read, I highly recommend it.

I gave it a 4/5 star rating on Goodreads.

Full disclosure: I received this eARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review. (Thanks NetGalley!)

I found the story enjoyable and romantic. I read it in less than a day, not only because it’s not too long (a little more than 200 pages), but because I was engrossed in the plot. What I liked most about this novel is the character of Del. The author presents her through many fronts. She is devoted to her family, she is still grieving over her grandmother’s death and she constantly misses her twin sister Jen, her other half, especially since she is now busy with her boyfriend. She is competitive and determined to win her place in the competition but she is also a loyal and true friend and she helps the other competitors even if it means she could lose. She is also funny and gets herself in ridiculous and embarrassing situations that made me laugh out loud. And she’s never been in love, at least not until she arrives to Paris.

Small town girl meets big city boy. She grew up in a farm in Michigan, raised by her grandparents while her hippy parents healed the world with their prayers. He is the heir of an empire. While she dreams of the bright lights of the big city, he wishes for the quietness of the countryside. Del and Sébastien couldn’t be more different, and yet they hit it off right away, and I enjoyed seeing their story develop throughout the novel. The fact that the novel is set in the most romantic city in the world helped to create the romantic and atmospheric setting for Del and Seb’s love story.

The setting of Paris is another thing that I enjoyed in this novel. I loved to explore Paris along with Del as she visits the city with its iconic landmarks – from the Moulin Rouge to Notre Dame and more – and its beautiful shops and cafés.

THE LITTLE PERFUME SHOP OFF THE CHAMPS-ELYSEES is an highly enjoyable and charming novel and I’d like to thank HQ Digital for providing me with an early copy of the book and for letting me take part in the blog tour.

I love Rebecca Raisin’s book, yet this is the first in ‘The Little Paris Collection’ that I have read. I can confirm it can most certainly be read as a stand-alone, and that I’m going to have to read the other two, as this book was so good.

What I love about Ms. Raisin’s writing is how much of her heart and soul she puts into them. You can tell by how easy the words reel off the pages, and how effortless it feels to read just how passionate she is about her work, and how knowledgeable she is about perfume.

The characters are well-developed, and Del was such a lovely character to get to know. She knew what she wanted in life and how to go about getting it, yet she wasn’t prepared to stoop to some of the other competitors levels to win the competition. If she was going to win it was on her own merits and know how.

This is a book that will have you imagining all the glorious scents that are made. It was an absolute joy to read and I devoured it in one sitting.
