It feels like forever since I read the second book in this delightful Little Paris Collection series from Rebecca Raisin and it practically was - 2016! This is a gorgeous series, so I couldn't wait to jump back into it, and 'The Little Perfume Shop off the Champs-Elysees definitely didn't disappoint!!

I was completely swept up, once again, in the romance of Paris. Rebecca certainly knows her way around the city and it shines off the page. There's the love story between two people and then there's the love story between Del and Paris itself. It's hard not to be drawn into the city lights, quaint cafes and utter passion of Paris. I myself have been before but I never got to experience the city at night, or really appreciate it, which I now feel I need to do.

This is Del's story. She's taken a huge leap out of her comfort zone, by leaving her small hometown in America and her twin sister, to take part in a perfume competition run by the mysterious L'eclere family. Del's worried that she might not have what it takes, especially since losing her Nan has knocked her perfume making off it's game for a while. She's determined to give it all she has to make her New York dreams come true. Not only does she learn a lot about herself, her sister and perfume on her Paris adventure, she also meets Sebastien and discovers that maybe her Nan was onto something about bottling a feeling and saying I love you in three different languages.

Firstly, I enjoyed reading about twins in this story and could relate to the conversations and feelings Del and Jen had very well. Of course, with Rebecca Raisin being a twin herself, the dialogue and emotions were spot on. The missing each other but also being slightly mad with each other, the constant need to text and talk to tell each other what was going on in their lives, the being scared to live their own dreams in case it meant leaving each other...story of my life!! Haha, well except the dreams part, Luc and I have always been on the same page there, well the majority of the time anyway! These little twin quirks made the book extra special for me. It was lovely to be able to truly relate to the main character. Being a twin is like nothing else and is often hard to describe, it adds a unique dimension to life, so, for that to be captured in a story i'm reading was wonderful.

I could also relate to Del's loss and how her Nan's death made her lose a little of her spark for perfumery. Loss is a huge thing, that never really goes away. The way in which Rebecca kept Del's Nan alive in spirit and wrote about the feelings of being watched over and guided were heartwarming. It literally wrapped a warm, comforting glow round the whole story and gave it an extremely powerful sense of love. To me, that's what Grandparents are all about; unconditional love and I could feel that in abundance. If I were to bottle love like Del and her Nan wanted to do, it would smell like my Nanna and Grandad's house, freshly brewed coffee and Pandoro cake!

From the love story, to the descriptions of Paris, to the competition itself, 'The Little Perfume Shop off the Champs-Elysee's,' had me hooked. I was incredibly impressed with all the perfume concoctions. Reading about the perfume process and what elements go into perfumes was fascinating and reminded me of a Hallmark movie I saw last year - Love Blossoms. I love reading stories that teach me things, even if I don't remember every detail, I feel happy knowing I could remember at least one thing that would be helpful in a general knowledge quiz!

'The Little Perfume Shop off the Champs-Elysees,' was worth waiting for. It's got magic, sparkle, twinkling lights of Paris and above all, a copious amount of LOVE! Be whisked away on a beautiful adventure and pick up a copy today!

The is the perfect book to escape into. Having not read the first two books in the series I was a little worried that I would be confused. Luckily, I soon realized that this is a complete standalone and all books can (and will) be enjoyed separately. Since reading this beauty of a book, I went ahead and purchased the first two. It's an absolute must read!

Note for the publisher: Thank you for the opportunity to review this book. Sadly the font of the pdf file is too small to be legible on my e-reader. So unfortunately I haven't been able to read and review this book.

Del is thrilled to be entering a perfume competition that will be taking her to Paris, France. If she wins, she and her sister can open a perfume shop of their own. But once in the City of Lights, Del discovers that her fellow competitors will do anything to win, even lie, cheat and steal. Del is bound and determined to win the competition honestly, and maybe even win the heart of a charming Frenchman while she’s at it. Raisin provides readers with another charming read along with a look inside the world of perfumes and fragrances.

This is another deep loving novel wrote by Rebecca Raisin, she fully immerses you in each story and this is no exception. You understand the basis of her skills by making perfume and so if you are into this kind of thing, it will get you wanting to start such a hobby.
I could have read more of this, i would have liked to see more characters with a storyline but maybe thats an option for her next sequel... maybe????
Its an American small town girl going to live her dream, but its so much more than that so much more love and depth... she has a twin who stayed home whilst Del went off to Paris for the perfume competition, Many of the other competitors do dirty tricks to try and win but Del doesn't sink this low and enters the competion 100% in truthful manners. She is a very quiet girl but you warm to her instantly,
I really enjoyed this book and i got through it relatively quick.

Once again the author has written something which will take the reader right to the heart of one of the most romantic cities in the world.

I am a huge fan of this author, and her books always go to the very top of my to read list. I dived straight in as soon as I received this book, and only put it down because I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. The story in this book is different to the others in the series, yet the author still manages to show her love of books within the storyline. Not only that, she also allows us to meet the characters we fell in love with in the previous books. They may only play a small part in this book, but their appearances provide so much more to the storyline.

In recent months I have seen an abundance of adverts for creating your own fragrance. I had even looked into it briefly. This story has reignited my desire to get something made just for me, and has already got me thinking about how to go about that.

The characters are believable throughout and I can already see the possibility for a few different side stories making an appearance at some point, at least I hope they do. Lex and Amelie deserve their own story I think, hint hint!

A great romantic story with so much depth to it, well done once again to the author.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for providing a copy of this book. Huge thanks also to the author.

The description of the book does not do it enough justice. It ended up being more than what I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. It was not just about an American small town girl on a life changing adventure to Paris, France in pursuit of her career goals but a love story as well. I really enjoyed reading this book. I was actually sad when it ended because I wanted to see even more of the characters because I liked most of them.
Del is in Paris for a perfume competition for a spot in a renowned Perfume company. She has a twin named Jen back home in the states and this is her first time out on her own. Del second guesses herself and nearly sabotages herself out of the competition. Del is quiet and smart about the competition but still makes friends and doe not sink to dirty tricks like other competitors. When Del starts relaxing and thinking a lot about the others instead of only herself everything seems to fall into place before her. There are many other great characters in the book. It is worth a read to find out about the rest of them yourself.
I think I enjoyed the book so much because Del is a relatable character. She is klutzy, relatively down to earth, and she had thoughts that many of us have. She wasn't just a fairy tale princess type of person.
I received this book for free to read from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All of the opinions in this review are 100% my own.
