In our society, women earn the majority of degrees and are increasingly bringing home the bacon - and frying it, with 40% of American households having female breadwinners. ESSENCE Senior Editor and author Charreah K. Jackson interviewed and researched more than 150 professional women including everyday powerhouses and famous faces for strategies to thrive in our personal and professional lives. This juicy and honest read includes insight from more than 1,000 years of marriage and career success by accomplished women and shares the little-discussed realities at the intersection of work and love, and how women can avoid a collision. We are a generation of women with the most professional opportunities and accomplishments of any women before us - which can be just as overwhelming as it is exciting. This book is a bridge to create a love life and career that fulfills you: it's time to Go Hard AND Go Home.

Interesting book, but I feel like it could have been titled better. I was anticipating something for career women recently engaged or early on in their marriages, rather than women who were interested in pursuing careers and relationships.

This is the perfect book for modern women who want to have it all in career and love. This book looks at how these seemingly incompatible and competing demands on women's lives. It contains useful exercises to allow you to find out what you really want and how to get it.

Empowering!!!.. I Loved reading it... every word of it.. it was interesting and very informative. You can find anything and everything... everything related to a woman in it. It is an Encyclopedia in every sense. It was full of nuggets. I tried highlighting all the sentences and paragraph i liked but couldn't do it as it would mean marking almost the whole book. Single or Married you will find something useful to take from it. but there are few information i didn't quite get and few that are not allowed in India as our culture and traditions differ but it may appeal to U. S readers more or any other country which differs from India culturally, despite that there are many more facts or stuffs in the book which are relatable and quite doable too. Reading it gives a feeling that even impossible is possible, that a Woman can handle both her professional and personal life ,career and love or married life with elan and ease. The detailed information on freezing eggs, contraception, financial advice and planning given in the book is epic, something which is also important for a woman to know . The Interview excerpts of a gynecologist is too good. The obamas revealing their earlier life is what any woman needs to hear and know that they are not a 'perfect couple' just like that, they have seen their share of ups and downs. Oprah winfrey's attitude of gratitude brushes you too..The book sends a message that a woman can choose both and shares nuggets of wisdom from married, successful and highly accomplished women who are balancing both their married life, kids and careers, and that's what makes the book stand out.

I probably don't know how to review a book that has covered every aspect of a woman's life. Glad that i requested this book and even more glad that my request was granted by the publisher.

I was able to read Boss Bride by Charred K. Jackson for free from Netgalley, the publisher and the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book caught my complete attention, from the first page to the last. This book shows us how women should go after their dreams. The author provides examples and quotes from herself and others that have succeeded professionally. The books provides a positive perspective and is a powerful book to have in your collection.

I liked this book and it was easy to read but because I'm nowhere near being an actual *bride* at this point in my life, some stuff went over my head.
