This was a very sweet fairy-tale sort of romance. Hudson doesn’t think he’d ever be interested in a woman who has a child, but he’s quickly won over by Spring and her two-year old toddler, Emma. At first all he sees is the terrible twos tantrums that Emma throws, but he soon falls for how cute she is. He keeps helping Spring out even to the point of taking care of poopy diapers. But they watch some Disney movies together and soon he and Spring, barring a few complications, are making their own fairy-tale romance as she rescues him from being a cold-hearted attorney just out for scoring wins for rich female clients.
Maybe it is the mom in me, but I was a bit irritated that Hudson kept giving Emma candy even after Spring asked him not to. And I found it a bit hard to believe that the senior partner basically told Hudson to prostitute himself for a rich female client. It’s all a bit too cartoonish for the bad guys.
But it’s all very sweet and it was refreshing to see Hudson soften up as he starts to fall in love with Emma and her mother.
I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Adorable, the things the little one parrots are too funny! that's what I really loved about this book. there's quite a bit of Christian elements being spoken often in here (God/Him) which was a bit of a turn off. I don't remember reading these elements pop up in Game Changer book 1 but it has been a while since reading that book.

this is a voluntary review and I do not get paid for this review
