This is Part 2 Of Poison Kisses and must be read in order. This book starts off right where book 1 left off. It really looks like Sage and Amanda are moving forward and letting go of their trust issues until right at the end Amanda sees an incoming message that we’re meant for Seth’s eyes only. Now all the walls are back up and we’re left again with another major cliffhanger! I’m anxious to see how this drama unfolds. On now to book 3!! Lisa definitely knows how to keep you on you toes!!

Poison Kisses Part 2 begins where Poison Kisses Part 1 left off. Seth and Amanda's story is sexy, suspenseful, full of secrets, lies, and betrayal. Seth and Amanda have a sizzling, off the charts chemistry and a battle within themselves on whether or not they can trust each other. This page turner keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting more! Looking forward to part 3!

Continuing Amanda and Seth’s story, part to is intense and engaging. Part 2 pick up where part 1ends and the suspense so far make me anxious to find the outcome in the final part.

This was another really good book in this trilogy of novellas. This was part 2 of Seth and Amanda's story. Seth is a former CIA agent, now working in private security and investigations for Shane Brandon (from the Dirty Money series). When he was in the CIA three years ago, he spent three months undercover with Amanda, another agent and scientist, posing as man and wife on a mission. Amanda is a poison specialist with the nickname Poison Princess, and Seth is a well known contract killer agent known as The Assassin. While the two were undercover, they fell in love and began a real relationship, but when the mission goes wrong, Amanda runs and disappears. Seth has spent the three years since searching for her to no avail, angry and bitter that Amanda could possibly have double-crossed him. Now, Seth has been contracted by the CIA to go to Amanda, who they have found, and get her to help them with a matter of national security, a terrorism threat to poison the public water source. When Seth and Amanda come face to face and are forced to go on the run together, they must face their past and decide whether they can trust each other. Or will one of them be forced to kill the other to keep themself and their country safe?

This is a sexy, suspenseful spy story. It was very Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The spy theme really suits Ms. Jones' writing. I loved the mysterious, unpredictable feel of the book. I really loved both Seth and Amanda. In part one, neither of them know whether they can trust each other and both feel betrayed by each other in the past. In part two, they have resolved most of their trust issues and are working together to figure out exactly what happened in the past to split them apart and how to solve their current problem. I didn't love that we only get Seth's POV, but we do get Amanda's POV later on in the trilogy. I still felt a connection to her even without her POV. I am hoping that in part three, they can get everything resolved because there seems like a lot left to discover and only one short novella left to do it.

I had the pleasure of reading an advance copy of all three parts of the Poison Kisses trilogy so I had the opportunity to read them back to back. I definitely recommend reading them that way. To me, this was one book split into 3 parts. I did not think the parts stood alone very well. Also they are short, so don't expect three full length books. If at all possible, I recommend reading the books back to back.

I love Ms. Jones' romantic suspense and this trilogy was one of her best. I was sucked in from the very beginning. I could not put the book down until I had read all three parts to Poison Kisses. I will definitely be adding it to my re-read list. I very much recommend this sexy, suspenseful trilogy and look forward to more from Ms. Jones in the future!

The games and intrigue continue as things heat up between Seth and Amanda again...

Part 2 of the story picks up immediately after the end of Part 1 with Amanda confronting Seth with the voicemail from her mother that she has saved for the last 3 years. The first 30% of the story is much of the same: I hate you, I don't trust you, I didn't run- I left, etc followed by angry/ make up sex before they finally agree to try to work together for now to solve the problem at hand.

Once they finally move on, things start to progress a bit. They arrive in Texas and start to break down the threat, who is involved, and how it could be tied to their history together. Seth is drawing conclusions I agree with, but Amanda is hesitant to buy into them as it means she has to question her whole concept of her world. Bear, Seth's handler, seems to be someone they can trust in a limited fashion and Seth asks him to look deeper into the kill orders issued for both Amanda and her parents to see what happens. His attempt to provide that info lands us back in frustratingly familiar territory as Part 2 comes to a close...

This is part 2 of the serial and it begins where Poison Kisses Part 1 leaves off and they must be read in order. Amanda and Gage both believed that they were betrayed by the other but the truth is being revealed layer by layer. They now must work together to bring down a terrorist and although the connection and chemistry between them is stronger than ever will they be able to trust each other again?

This does end on a cliffhanger but the good news is that it is only a week until the conclusion. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Picking up right where part 1 left off, this story is full of suspense, action, mystery and romance. The tension and chemistry continues to build between Seth and Amanda. Once again, the pair must work together as husband and wife. Only this time they have to do it while dealing with the feelings of mistrust and betrayal. Another cliffhanger at the end leaves you breathless, but don't worry, the finale is only a week away!

ANOTHER 5 STARS FOR PART 2!! The continuation of this fantastic serial in Part 2. This story picks up right where we were left in part 1, with all the suspense and fantastic story. Seth and Amanda still don't trust each other, but need each other. I can't wait to read part 3 for the conclusion. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

The Assassin and his Poison Princess…

This is the part two of a three part serial featuring an enigmatic character from the Dirty Money series, the ending is again a cliff-hanger. The serial pieces are scheduled to release a week apart from each other. The story continues from where part one left off, on a serious note of accusation.

After three years of searching for the woman who he believes betrayed him, Seth finally has her in his presence with her undivided attention. He needs answers only she can provide to finalize the decision he must make that’ll necessitate conclusive actions towards her. But a damning phone message, proof Amanda cites for running from a mission and going off the grid, is what Seth himself has to answer for. Had they both read each other wrong in the past? Their emotions at that time were intense, incendiary, and they broke their own rules by falling for each other, the simmering embers of that passion has now reignited. Had their feelings for each other clouded their basic instincts years ago? Are they now friends or enemies? After relating their stories, can they find some semblance of trust again?

They are now working on a national security threat for the CIA, intelligence has it that a madman has developed a toxin for release into the water system of a major city, Amanda, with her knowledge of poisons is needed to derive an antidote. Under a fragile and strained truce, Seth promises protection to Amanda while he also searches for answers from the past from the agency that trained him. There are always possibilities in the grays of the clandestine world. Did someone manipulate that failed mission that cost an agent his life? A text message sent in error might just destroy this couple for good.

Unbridled passion after three years apart needed only their presence to rekindle. Does that tell me the protagonists were meant for each other? Absolutely, such passion and the love that went with it does not die easily but it’s not always enough. This episode was sexy and tension filled, the reader is on edge as secrets were unveiled, the magnitude of them yet to be faced, their trust was badly broken and may not be repairable with the depth of betrayals they both believe. Whose version of the truth is factual? They’re motivated for a resolution of past events, this is their second chance but they will have to fight not just each other but themselves to attain something real.

The plot is intriguing and suspenseful, it continues to be told from Seth’s viewpoint, we get to really understand this man and how Amanda affected him in the past from the flashbacks. I love that Amanda has a cat companion and Seth’s acceptance and then understanding of it. This reader is looking forward to the finale of this engaging story though I dislike having been made to wait for it even if it’s only for a week, full books provide a much better reading experience.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! This story just keeps getting better. Seth and Amanda once again find themselves working together to capture a man who is threatening the safety of others. While at the same time trying to find out who made Amanda believe Seth was given the contract to not only take out Amanda but that he may have taken out her parents. With all this mystery and suspense surrounding them they can't seem to deny the connection they still feel for one another. Who is really behind all that has gone in in the past and what is going on now? What really caused Amanda to run all those years ago? Can the two of them trust one another again? I can not wait for final part in this wonderfully written story of love, betrayal, suspense and danger.

In this second part to author Lisa Renee Jones’ “Poison Kisses,” the story picks up right where the first part of Seth and Amanda’s story had left us hanging. With an emphasis on putting their previous animosity aside and focusing on a common goal that requires mutual trust, Seth and Amanda move their very complicated relationship forward—physically, emotionally, AND professionally.

Propelled more by emotion than action, this portion of Seth and Amanda’s story is more relationship-driven than the last. And while a key element to the overall story is communication, it lacks a bit of the excitement and suspense that initially drew me in when I began this journey. Still, I found the continuation of this couple’s tumultuous relationship both sexually unbridled and engaging.

With Seth and Amanda now seemingly on the same side, can they truly put the past behind them in order to take down the enemy together? And what about all the lies and complexities that continue to shroud their relationship? Will they finally be able to move forward or will they allow uncertainty to seep in and destroy all that they have rebuilt? With baited breath, I look forward to reading part three, where I hope for answers to all the questions that have yet to be addressed.

Poison Kisses Part 2 picks up right where Poison Kisses Part 1 ends. It's filled with even more action, sexy romance between the sheets, and so much more. One thing is for certain, as secrets are slowly coming to the surface, one thing hasn't change; the chemistry between Seth and Amanda is undeniable. Add in a twist of suspense and you have yourself a great book to dive into.

In book 2 we pick up right where we left off with both Seth and Amanda needing to know what happened 3 years ago, and in the years they have been apart. It's a push and pull of their willingness to be truthful with each other whilst also deciding if each other can still be trusted.
With secrets and lies still to be revealed will they be able to work together to get the job done and with lots of sizzling chemistry is there still a chance for Seth and Amanda to get a HEA!!!

These books do need to be read in in order and I can't wait to read book 3 to see how Seth and Amanda's story will end.

Seth and Amanda's story continues as the super spy duo race to find a mad scientist while navigating their untrustworthy past. Part 2 focuses a lot on Seth and Amanda’s ability to work alongside one another and to at least in the field trust each other’s skill set. There's not a lot of back and forth from present and past but there's a deep dive in to Seth's emotions about Amanda and why she betrayed him years ago. For Amanda it's the belief that Seth was set to kill her and how can she ever learn to trust him again, even in the face of saving the world.

I liked the continued push and pull between Seth and Amanda. This isn’t some soft and sweet lovey-dovey romance. There’s shoving and biting as these two want to hate each other as much as they want each other. The tension and sexual energy is cataclysmic as they fight for dominance. Slowly the two both begin to reveal what truthfully happened on that fateful night 3 years ago that separated their lives. Seth wanted nothing more than to have Amanda at his back. Amanda feared for her life and the lives of her parents. As they both reveal more and more of the truth, their walls start to crumble and the chemistry that was between them now builds and builds as they prepare to face their foe. With a shockingly misunderstood ending, I can’t wait to see how the finale will wrap up their sordid tale!

In the second installment of Poison Kisses, Lisa Renee Jones keeps you on the edge with the continuing story of Seth and Amanda. They continue to figure out how to make an antidote for a deadly drug but at the same time they are trying to piece together their last night together and what went wrong. The sexual tension between these two is electric plus the suspense of learning what happened all those years ago and what they are going through now continues to pull you in. Will they finally begin to trust each other again? Or is their past too much to overcome?

Poison Kisses by Lisa Renee Jones is Book Two in the 'Poison Kisses" series. This continues the story of Amanda Skye and Seth Cage. This is seriously intense and suspenseful read and we are only on part 2 in a 3 part series. This book does start right where the last one left off. Amanda and Seth are still trying to deal with their feelings of desire, attraction, betrayal, secrets, mistrust and lies. In this book we now know why Amanda disappeared and are left with several more questions. Seth and Amanda are still dealing with the betrayal from the past, the lust and love that is still between them is steaming up pretty nicely. They went from lovers to enemies to lovers, but what about the love? But before they can get a handle on their pasts, they need to figure out how to take down Dr. Franklin Ross.
As this story shows glimpses into their past, Amanda and Seth truly loved each other and now in the present, that loved hasn’t died even though that love is being tested. They are being tested and are having to learn to trust each other all over, after what happened 3 years before. There is this push and pull between the two of them. They went from enemies to lovers. Could that love be salvaged along with the trust? Well that is one of the big things going on along with the chaos is still happening. I do want to say it was great to see old characters interact with new characters in this series. It made my heart flutter big time happily. But this story ended on a HUGE cliffhanger. I couldn’t believe that happened. Now I Have to wait for book 3 to find out what happens. I am hanging on dying to find out what happens.

OMG! These two are so addictive but also infuriating. You can feel the all consuming need these two have to want to trust each other, as well as the their desire and lust that is wild for each other. Their chemistry is sizzling hot but that betrayal is still in the forefront of their minds at all time. They learn about some new characters that may be helping their enemy but ...Cliffhanger!

Book #2 starts where we left Amanda and Seth on the plane to Texas in book #1.

She just played him the voice-mail her mom left her three years ago. Telling her that Seth was probably sent to kill her. Which is why she ran away back then.

Our darlings have lots of trust issues to fight through and a crazy killer to catch.

It might take them a while to get to that happy ever after! ☺

Again we go back in time a few times to see how they fell in love three years ago. But was all that back then lies and espionage? How can they ever trust each other again?

We'll find out! ... maybe not yet ... book #3 will be here next week!

Part 2 starts up right where part 1 ended so you will need to have read it first.

Suspense, betrayal, secrets and lies. Tension (both of the sexual and non-sexual kind) abounds as Seth and Amanda try to come to terms with who has set them up, whether they can trust each other, or whether they will kill each other.

In the first part of the series, I surmised that someone was pitting them against each other but we did not know whom it was. We still do not know, but it is heating up.

I did feel that this short did flounder a little in the middle, and things went around in circles for a while, however once things did move ahead...

BAM we were cliffhangered. But that's OK, as we only have a week to wait for the final installments.

Seth and Amanda are smokin' in the second part of Poison Kisses! As they retrace the past, the truth starts to unveil itself. Lost moments and unanswered questions will have Seth and Amanda standing at the crossroads. What he feels for Amanda can't be put into words. I love how great they work as a duo. They are the perfect team and in Seth's eyes there can be no other. I can't wait to delve right in to part three!
