Jordan Chen had everything except the one to share with. He has been looking for the one until he met Jay. She was different from all the other girls, she wasn't afraid of him and keeps talking to him. He was sure he can make her his but he is afraid she put him in the friend zone. He just have to wait until for the right moment and until then, he will just watch her from security floor.
Jay was keeping busy at working at Osborne Corp as right hand for Miles. She was really good at what she does and people are afraid or avoid her. She hasn't had any friends so when handsome Jordan showed up at her desk, she couldn't pass the opportunity to have lunch with him. He wasn't afraid of her and he was a good listener. She must have many daydreams about him but she wasn't sure if he was really into her.
Jordan and Jay were getting closer while someone else threatening Jay. Things are escalating plus Jay's sister shows up at her apartment making things more complicated. Jay ignored usual threats until Jay's father gets hurt. Suspense it picking up and Jay and her sister will be in harms way. Jordan will be able to get her back.
It was easy and quick read. I enjoyed the all the series. Jordan was perfect for Jay and vice versa. They were cute together and it was nice to see all the other characters from previous books.
Thanks to Netgalley and Carina Press for ARC.

This was so hard but I didn't like this one at all. I struggle to connect to either character or to even believe in their romance which was such a shame because I love Alexa Riley so much and everything the amazing due writes but I really, really struggled with Claimed.

Insta-love with a high level of sugary sweet and sex, with alpha guys, possessive, obsessed and a bit stalkerish. If you like that kind of stories, this book is for you.

DNF so I'm not rating this one.

So, there's something about Alexa Riley's books that I can't point out.
I'm not sure I've ever liked any of her books but I can't help but come back to them every single time.

I still give each new release a try because the reviews are always great and I rely a lot on recommendations.

But I guess, I'll need to stop because I can get why she's such a loved author. It's just that her books are not for me. I'm not at all into insta-love, I find it really hard to connect to those stories. But if you're a fan, definitely go for it!

Jay and Jordan may be one of my Fave AR couples now! I was so excited when i say that Jordan was getting his own book.... and a full length one as well! I loved this series before and I flove this series even more now.
As always we get our super alpha fix with an AR hero, but there was more to Jordan, he approach to jordan.... loved it.
This book is the perfect curl up on the couch and just enjoy and get lost in a book type of read. It can be read as a stand alone but does so much better having read the other books.
5 stars for a great book!

Alexa Riley's Claimed was intense. I loved the relationship between Jordan and Jay. I zipped through this book so fast. I can hardly wait to see what she comes up with next!

CLAIMED is book 3 in the For Her series but can be read as a standalone.

Jay is the assistant for the head honcho of the Osborne Corporation. She has to be tough to be taken seriously. But Jay is also lonely. Then she meets the seemingly shy and quiet Jordan. He's part of the security team for the Osborne Corporation and is secretly in lust (maybe even love) with Jay.

So if you've ever read anything by Alexa Riley, you'll know that these authors have a magical formula that draws the reader into a sweet yet sexy world of romance. Are these stories earth shattering? Nope. Are they realistic? Probably not. But if you're looking for a possessive, overprotective, freakin' hot alpha and a charming, over the top story, then scoop up this book!

This is an easy, lighter read. It does have some suspenseful moments but really this about Jay and Jordan learning to connect with each other. Jordan first sees Jay sitting at her desk and is instantly drawn to her, like a magnet. He may be quiet but he knows what he wants and he'll do whatever it takes to make the alluring Jay his. Jay is smart, sassy and is also completely infatuated with the delectable Jordan. I loved their slow burning romance!

Overall, this is a great book to read when you just want to escape or relax for awhile. A solid 4 star read for me! Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Claimed is only the second novel I've read by Alexa Riley, and although it's the third novel in a series, I had no trouble jumping right in, but, having said that, I did have quite a few issues with this novel, and for those reasons, I can only give it a 2.5 star rating.

My first problem was with the names of the hero and heroine--Jordan and Jay. The only other people I know named Jordan are all women, not men. I've never met or even heard of a woman named Jay, so, since this book is written using alternating narration, I kept having to check back to make sure whether I was reading the male or the female point of view. I can think of no valid reason for an author to willingly confuse her readers, and all I could think of was the weird, androgenous character named "Pat" on Saturday Night Live.

The novel opens with a prologue of something that occurs much later in the novel, and I didn't see a single reason for it to be there, until I got to the last paragraph, in which we learn that Jordan considers that Jay owned him as soon as he set eyes upon her and that he considers her "claimed".

As Chapter One opens, Jordan was simply visiting his father, as he does every Sunday, but he makes a point of not telling his father about a woman at work, Jay, the administrative assistant to Miles Osbourne, the head of the company they both work for. He has a case of both insta-love and insta-lust for this woman, but they've never actually met, nor spoken to one another. He's obsessed with Jay, she's all he can think about, and his behavior goes from attraction to what I can only call stalking, and while I'm sure it was meant to be sweet that he was so attracted to her, as an IT and security specialist for the company, he's rigged cameras and hacked her computer so that he peruse her daily schedule in order to accidentally on purpose bump into her, and watch her every move, and, quite frankly, I found his behavior seriously creepy, intrusive, and very disturbing.

When we meet Jay, the object of Jordan's obsession, we learn that she's excellent at her job, independent but lonely. In her working role as the "gatekeeper" to the head of the company, she is set apart from the other employees, and she long for some company. When she bumps into Jordan, just as he's arranged, and asks him to join her for lunch in the company cafeteria, he's over the moon, hanging on her every word, saying very little, and appearing to be shy. Since we are never told how old these characters are, I was guessing that they were in their mid to late twenties, but Jay and Jordan's behavior was just so junior high school, his more so than hers. We also lean that neither of them has ever dated and that the two of them are both virgins, yet, when they finally get together physically, Jordan turns into a dominating, overwhelming alpha male, which had me wondering if he was psychotic. Outside the bedroom, he also became even more controlling and dominant, taking over Jay's every move. And, since she started out as a savvy, independent, smart and capable working girl, all it takes is one word from Jordan and she can't obey fast enough, or cling tightly enough, instead, he becomes her entire world. I kept hoping that he'd push her far enough that she'd tell him to back off, but that doesn't happen.

The plot thickens when Jay discovers some discrepancies with a file she's working on for her boss. She also starts getting weird and threatening emails from an anonymous sender, and then her sister, who's moved into her apartment temporarily, opens a box left at her door and discovers a dead bird inside and another warning. At no point does Jay mention to her overprotective boyfriend that any of this is happening, nor does Jordan manage to notice the emails, although he's hacked her computer. This all leads up to the abduction of Jay and her sister, as we eventually discover who's been sending these messages and why. I did like the resourcefulness of Jay and her sister, Summer, as they try to escape captivity, as well as the suspense and action, I also appreciated getting past the seemingly endless sex scenes between Jordan and Jay, I wondered why none of those involved in the rescue attempt managed to contact law enforcement.

Yes, there's the expected HEA ending, but before we get to it, there are even more sex scenes between Jay and Jordan, and while I have absolutely no objection to graphic sexual content in a novel, the sheer number of such scenes grew tiresome, although Jordan never seemed to tire physically or sexually, no matter how many times he had Jay, and it got to the point at which I found his non-stop horny behavior more like fantasy/science fiction than reality.

All in all, I found this novel to be technically well-written, but definitely in need of editing to curb some of author's penchant for sex scenes, as well as the overabundant declarations of love between her main characters, and the willingness of her heroine to stand on her own two feet without Jordan controlling every aspect of their relationship.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

When I read an Alexa Riley book, I know exactly what kind of read I'm getting into. Insta-love, HEAs, possessive heroes, and sexy times. AR doled all that out in Claimed, which I enjoyed. It's not my favorite of their books, but definitely a worthwhile read if you're in the mood for something quick and steamy. I loved that the hero wasn't as crazy possessive (but still a good amount) and that he was Asian. I'd love if AR wrote more POC characters!

I really enjoyed this sexy story. I love when Alexa Riley writes longer stories. I enjoy their characters and their storylines are always unique and fresh. I can't wait to read more!

Alexa Riley’s For Her series is the series that introduced me to Alexa Riley’s work. This duo writing team bring their A+ game with this series!

I for sure thought that the series would be done after His Alone (For Her #2). I was shocked when Claimed (For Her #3) came available to read and review. I one clicked that sucker without hesitation. I am so glad that I did!!

Alexa Riley are known for instalove books. Although that is not really what I gravitate to, I have mad love for this series!! Claimed is a friends-to-lovers book. Jordan & Jay are H-O-T together!!

In Claimed, we get more of the employees at Osbourne Corp. Jay Rose is the administrative assistant to Miles Osbourne, who was the hero in Everything for You (For Her #1). I was so excited to see Miles & Mallory again!! Oh, and if you haven’t read Everything for You (For Her #1), you need to read Miles & Mallory’s story! So, so good!

Jay seems to be the one person behind the CEO at Osbourne Corp. She does everything! She never seems to take time for herself. So, when it comes to her lunch hour, she enjoys her time with Jordan Chen. She is attracted to him, but does not want to ruin their time together by telling him. Little does she know that Jordan feels the same way.

“I’ll take him as a friend if that’s all I can have. I try to be honest with myself. The hot guy who can probably snap a woman in half with his muscles isn’t going to go for the plain nerdy girl who should definitely lay off the bagels.”
~ Alexa Riley, Claimed (For Her #3)

Jordan works on the security team at Osbourne Corp. He is a wizard with the computer!! It’s almost freaky. But I enjoyed his antics with Jay. The way that he would watch her made me swoon a little bit each time. I digress… Jordan is infatuated with Jay but is afraid to tell her as well. He has a dream of having a relationship with Jay other than friendship.

“I love Mondays so much. Another chance to see her, another chance to be near her. It’s the day I look forward to the most.”
~ Alexa Riley, Claimed (For Her #3)

Eventually Jordan and Jay give into their instalove and get together. As if you didn’t guess that already…

One thing that I love in romance books is the adventure/ action part of the book. In this book, Jay is faced with a situation where Jordan has to save her.

“Everything I do is for her. Her needs will always come before mine.”
~ Alexa Riley, Claimed (For Her #3)

And Jordan shows that throughout the entire book! *sighs*

I will be honest with you; Alexa Riley writes a spin off series call For You. It mainly features the kids from the For Her series. I am not a fan! But anything in the For Her series is a total win for me! Jordan & Jay’s story was a great addition to the For Her series. I so hope that there are more coming in this series. Please, please Alexa Riley! I can’t get enough!!

Alexa Riley is an author that continues to write stories that I absolutely enjoy reading. I really love the variety fo her stories and the different types of characters that she has written.

Claimed was an instalove read and I really enjoyed the way the author did this. Some stories that have characters falling in love instantly in a way that is not believable. But this author has written it really well and in a way that I could see happen.

Jordan and Jay were great together and had such great chemistry. I really enjoy these two characters separately and together. This was an enjoyable read that I enjoyed reading from start to finish.

I've really enjoyed this series. It's quick-paced with adorable characters perfect for each other. It's a little heavy in the alpha/dominate theme, but nothing outrageous. I would definitely read more by this author.

Jordan and Jay meets and they have instant attraction and instant love. Their chemistry is over the top and their passion hot. A well written story about two people who have closed their heart of and works all the time. They hold their feelings as a secret and are only friends to begin with but that does not give them what they want and need. They have a lot of obstacles to go through before they can have their HEA and I love their journey. It is so tender and lovefilled and sometimes the tissues fly around in the room.
Absolutely a story worth the read.

I loved this book! Friends to lovers books are one of my favorite.
Jordan and Jay are an awesome match.
I liked the build up of them being friends first and their relationship growing into lovers.
The signature hot sexy words written by Authors Alexa Riley is the cherry on top with this read being a must one click book.

Loved this full length series by Alexa Riley. This author is a definite go to when I’m craving quick, sexy, and fun little reads! Recommended!

Creepy! The hero is so creepy that this book should come with a warning. If you have a stalker or obsessive person in your past (or present) do not read this book. It will be a trigger for you. Here are a couple of examples of the hero's creepiness in his own words:

"Sometimes I even record her without her knowing and play it back at night when I go to sleep."

"One of the first things I did when I met Jay was to go in and see what she was up to. Getting [hacking into] her calendar was the easiest way to do that."

Then why the 4 star rating, you might ask. Thankfully, I don't have a wackjob in my past. So if you're like me, or if the whole stalker/ obsessive thing doesn't deter you, this is a good story. The romance is allowed to blossom. The intimate moments are hot and the hero and heroine very much complete each other. He really does love and cherish her and her attraction transitions to affection with speed. He has a family that has been been limping along since his mother's death and she longs for a family to live and be loved by in return. These things make them well-suited for each other and she thinks that his stalker tendencies are endearing so, who am I to object?

Heed my earlier warning, but if you have no objection, my advice is to enjoy the crazy.

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

What I love about Alexa Riley books is that they are quick reads that never let you down. Claimed was no different, once I started, I couldn't put it down until I'd read the very last word.

Jordan and Jay sucked me into their story from the first and kept me hooked. As a long time fan of friends to lovers, I was looking forward to what the story would deliver - and it left me highly satisfied. With characters that are realistic and made me feel as if I was a part of their lives as I read - it was easy to find myself lost in the pages.

As usual there was a good and steady plot throughout the story with the right balance of steam and romance. And a touch of suspense thrown in for good measure that just adds to the drama part of the story.

If you've read Alexa Riley before - this book will fulfill your expectations and if you haven't you are missing out and should dive into this series today.

If I had to describe this book in one word it would be: cheesy. Like over-the-top cheesy. I have read a few of Alexa Riley's novellas, so I was happy that to see that she is writing some full length novels. Claimed is the third book in the For Her series, but you don't have to read them in order to be able to understand what is going on in the book. Alexa Riley books are known to have insta-love and be cheesy, but I was hoping that since this was a full length novel that there would be more of a build up to the love. My wishes were not granted as Jay and Jordan went from being friends straight to the insta-love. I did like the "danger" aspect of this novel because it added more to the story than just the lovey dovey stuff. If you like insta-love books, then this book is for you!
