It’s no secret that I’m an enormous fan of Alexa Riley and their smutty insta-love novellas about over-the-top, totally obsessed, all-alpha males claiming the virgins of their dreams. When they announced that they were launching a series of full-length novels, I was beside myself with glee. Three full-length novels stuffed to capacity with all of that possessive, protective, alpha-male-getting-his-woman goodness? Yes, please. I’ll be honest, though, and admit that there was a teeny, tiny part of me that wondered if they could make the transition from novella to full-length novel, so it thrills me to no end to say that that worry wasn’t warranted because not only did they make the jump, but they totally nailed it. They did a fantastic job building rich, detailed plots while still packing the pages with all of the safe steaminess their readers have come to love and expect from them.
I loved Everything for Her and His Alone, the first two novels in the For Her series, and knowing what this author duo did with those two books, I couldn’t wait to see where they were going to take us in Claimed. I anxiously waited for this one to hit my Kindle, and I squealed with smutty, safe-read satisfaction when it finally hit my Kindle. I loved Claimed, I loved Jordan, I loved Jay, I loved them together in all their awkward, nerdy, virginal glory. There was plenty of the obsessed, protective, possessive, growling hot guy stuff that we all want in an Alexa Riley story, and they paired that hottie hero with a fierce little powerhouse of a heroine who was also funny, quirky, a little bit clueless and kind of clumsy. Stuck in the friend zone, I loved how they maneuvered from professional pals to a romantic relationship. Their sweet, sexy romance wasn’t the only thing happening here, though. There was also an intriguing and exciting suspense plot that held my interest just as much as Jordan and Jay’s budding relationship did.
Claimed was everything I hoped—and more than I anticipated—it would be. It was charming, romantic and steamy with an abundance of the Alexa Riley style of alpha fixation that we readers have come to crave insatiably. Fantastic side characters and a good dose of humor take this from a really good story to three hundred pages of pure escapism reading pleasure. With three fantastic full-length novels under their belts, I am praying to the smut gods that in addition to their addictively naughty novellas, we’ll see more novel length stories from them in the future. Claimed by Alexa Riley gets five smooches from me!

Jay is a PA at the Osbourne Corporation. She's also a firecracker in personality. Jordan is part of security at the same corporation. These two start off as friends then turn into lovers. This book had romance, suspense and plenty of steam. A wonderful hit for these authors!

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Thanks to Netgalley for the book in exchange for my HONEST opinion.

Jay and Jordan have a friend zone relationship , or I should say they both think they have a friend zone relationship. They both are really harboring feelings for the other one and I just too shy to let them know. I lol-ed thought there awful dates (so funny) I really like this book. The last book I didn't like this much. I don't know why? I gave it three stars or so but this one was definitely a five-star read. I loved it. There not one thing I can complain about. I love that they didn't just jump right into bed, I love that he was still Alpha, jealous and domineering but with a sweet side.
It was just perfect with a right amount of drama.

There's nothing that I love more than a romance story by Alexa Riley. The For Her series has been an absolute favorite of mine and I loved finally reading about Jordan and Jay. Two equally awkward, endearing characters, that believe the other has put them in the friend zone and unsure how to express that they would like to be more. Eeepp!!!

When we finally get the characters on the same page and they go on their first, oh my God! I laughed. You have to read it yourself because it was just too funny and I don't want to spoil a really epic moment.

The book is interconnected with the first two in the series and you will see the other characters in the book. They are each stand alone stories but you should definitely read, especially if you love this one as much as I did. The longer Alexa stories have lots of steamy scenes, intermingled with some drama but nothing over the top that overpowers the main theme of Alexa's stories. Her focus is really the relationship between the characters, finding that soulmate and happily ever after between the two. They're just great, pallet cleansing reads and this book was just absolutely divine. Both characters are just too adorable for words, the story is hot and sweet and I refused to put it down until I was done. I love the additional epilogues that we get and catching up with the other characters as well. I need more Alexa Riley books!! Five, adorably sweet love story, stars.

“You’re not the kind of woman that gets one night. You’re worth a lifetime.”

Another fabulous insta-love romance by Alexa Riley!!!! Claimed is the third book in the for her series. Jordan and Jay had great chemistry and a HEA. Jay was a strong and sassy heroine. Jordan is a OTT alpha male and was so sweet to Jay. As always the epilogues in Alexa Riley books were Steller.

I have looong since been a fan of Alexa Riley and, like her others, this book is a winner! Jordan has been head over heels for Jay since the minute he saw her. Unfortunately for him, he has been friend zoned.... or so he thinks. Jay has feelings for Jordan but thinks he doesn't see her in that way.  Jordan is the best book boyfriend!

He is sweet, thoughtful and an alpha rolled into one! Jay is independent strong woman, but with Jordan she fits and they are a perfect match! Things are going great but then Jay starts to receive some threats and Jordan being the alpha he is wants to do nothing but protect her. Then Jay goes missing and que the drama and suspense!  I loved watching the journey of this romance unfold and the chemistry? It is off the charts!

Loved this story! This is a must read!

I’m a big fan of this series and I enjoyed reading this book. Jay and Jordan both have feelings for each other but thinks they are both in the friend zone so to speak. One day Jordan has enough and in typical Alexa Riley, alpha male status he shows how he really feels about Jay. This story had a suspense element which I loved and I wish Jay would have told Jordan sooner about the threats. Last I checked he was the head of security and I would have told him the moment I got the first threat. I also loved the family vibe and pop up from previous characters. It was nice to catch up with the gang. The writing was solid and the plot held my attention. I LOVE the full length novels from this author and I hope they continue with them in the future.

I really enjoyed this standalone friends to lovers romance! I didn't have the opportunity to read the other 2 books in this series, but I don't believe it diminished my enjoyment of this one. Steamy, suspenseful, sweet and sexy--this was a really fun read! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

As always, Alexa Riley gives us a great story. I found I could not put it down and that I was completely wrapped up in the world she created. If you love her books you will love this one!

Claimed is a full length delicious novel by Alexa Riley that delivers us their signature goodness of over the top insta-love, alpha male protectiveness and topped with a sprinkle of some nerd tendencies. I ate it up and was left begging for more.

Jordan knew Jay was the woman for him from the moment that he laid eyes on her. Doing everything he can to be near her, he's able to spend a lot of time with her but feels he is in the friend zone and that's just not happening any more. It's time for him to make his claim on the woman that stole his heart.

Jay may be small but she is fierce. She can seem like a bulldog when it comes to getting what she wants but with it comes to Jordan, she's a bit shy and has no idea how to tell Jordan how she feels. Luckily for her, Jordan has had enough of just being friends and he's starting to make it known what he wants.

Jordan and Jay are just absolutely adorable together. I couldn't get enough of them. Jordan is a tech guy and he has zero shame in using his knowledge to keep an eye on his girl. While some might find that a bit weird or creepy, Jay finds it endearing and cute.

Claimed not only gives us that insta-love we are used to be there is an element of drama in Jordan and Jay's story. When Jay gets into trouble, Jordan goes into alpha badass and let's be real, it's freaking hot.

If you are looking for classic AR full of sweetness, sexiness, insta-love and added drama, then Claimed is the book for you. It's has moved up to one of my all time favorite AR books!

There are some really good parts to this book. Jay and Jordan’s adorably clumsy attempts at flirting and their fail dates are absolutely hilarious. There are some deliciously hot sex scenes and a good suspense sub-plot causing some conflict in an otherwise sweet romance. Though this is not the first in series, it stands very well alone. Characters who are obviously from previous books do appear, but in a minor way which will satisfy fans of earlier books while not confusing readers who have started here. The writing and editing is top-notch; I didn’t find any spelling or grammar mistakes in the text.

All that good stuff out of the way, I now have to explain why I absolutely hated this book. For the record, I’m in the “Fifty Shades of Grey is a creepy stalker horror show” camp, and if you got even a VAGUE sense of that, you’ll be WAY more horrified by this.

Jordan is a computer security expert at the same firm where Jay is PA to the boss. Obsessed with her from the first moment of their meeting, but stuck firmly in the friendzone, he spends all his time reading her email, checking her schedule and watching her on the company’s security cameras.

If that isn’t setting your Creepy Stalker radar off, I don’t know what to tell you. Just imagine for a moment that a male friend did that to YOU without your knowledge or consent. Even if you did feel an attraction for them, wouldn’t that kill it stone dead? I know for a fact the first thing I’d be doing was calling the police. Jay instead reacts by being delighted he cares enough to want to watch over her, which is just a deeply, deeply odd reaction.

Though it’s acknowledged, by both parties, that Jordan’s obsessive behaviour and Jay’s delight in it isn’t normal, I find the romanticisation of it deeply, deeply troubling. Even Jordan’s father (the most delightful character in the book, who deserved more than a side role) TOLD Jordan that he needed to back off, respect Jay and give her space to be herself. So… Jordan compromised by giving her a tracker bracelet, instead of insisting she be within his sight at all times.

And that’s pretty much when my head hit the desk. That’s NOT a compromise. That’s horrific, controlling behaviour and any woman whose boyfriend gives them a tracker bracelet should be figuring out how to get the damn thing off and then getting a restraining order. NOBODY should be looking at that kind of behaviour and thinking it’s in the least bit romantic.

I feel like there’s an entire generation of women who should be required to watch the Julia Roberts movie Sleeping With The Enemy, to learn what happens when that controlling behaviour just gets to be too much. (Hint: it’s a psychological thriller-horror).

Despite the good parts of this book, I’m too horrified by all the rest to give it more than one star.

I’d heard good things about Alexa Riley before, so I wanted to try one of her books out, and this friends-to-lovers sounded right up my alley. Unfortunately, I’ve come to conclude that her books are just not for me. This is also the third in a series, but the first I’ve read, so picking this up at the end of the series may also have made me miss other things.

“Computers have always made sense to me. Women, not so much, and the problem with that is I’ve never tried to figure them out. Now I’m obsessed with Jay, and I have no clue how to go about it. I’m not the type of guy that sits around and talks about my feelings. Hell, I don’t really talk much at all. I consider myself the strong, silent type, and it’s seemed to work for me so far. I wouldn’t say I’m shy, but I have no clue how to approach asking Jay out on a date.”

Jay is the executive assistant to the head of the Osbourne Corporation. She’s great at anticipating her boss’s needs, and she has a bit of a reputation for being a bulldog at getting things done. Because of this, pretty much her only friend at work is Jordan from the IT department. He’s a weird mix of nerd and alpha overly-possessive caveman. Despite the fact that he doesn’t usually talk much around her, they’re best friends and eat lunch at the cafeteria nearly every day. Jordan’s head over heels in love with Jay, but feels stuck in the friend zone. He loves doing nice things for her, like learning when the cafeteria is serving her favorite soup and going out of his way to bring her a muffin from her favorite cafe. Which, in itself, is super sweet, but then things started going off the rails for me.

Jordan’s pretty much a stalker – he uses his IT admin powers to check her work calendar to see what meetings she has scheduled and whether she’s free for lunch. He’s actually recorded her rambling on at lunch so he can play it back later. He’s so focused on meeting her every whim, that at about 20% in to the book, he impersonates a cop so he can get some work files Jay needs from a guy who’s, to all appearances, on medical leave caring for his sick wife. I nearly put the book down at this point, because, seriously? When Jay’s sister pops up out of nowhere, declaring she’s moving in, rather than helping Jay stand up to her, he just starts packing up her things and tells her she’s moving in with him. The cherry on top was when, half the way through the book, Jay gets kidnapped, complete with the obligatory rape threats, and Jordan has to run in with guns blazing to rescue her.

“‘I don’t want you to think I’m moving too fast, Jay. I’m terrified I’m going to scare you off. It’s taken me a while to get you here.’
‘How long has it taken?’ I ask, truly puzzled.
He stares at me for a moment, as if he’s debating his words. ‘Since the moment I saw you, I wanted you to be mine. And only mine.’
I smile at him and lay my head back down on his shoulder. I like the sound of that. Because I’ve wanted him just as long.”

Don’t get me wrong, I can see the appeal of the alpha possessive caveman hero – lots of orgasms, tucking her in to bed for naps, and bringing her food. And at no point in the book is the consent even questionable. But Jordan also seems incapable of letting Jay handle anything on her own, whether it’s work- or personal-related, and that’s way too over controlling for me. Jordan sees Jay as this perfect, beautiful thing, almost, that needs to be protected and cherished, and while I think that hits a lot of people’s buttons, it reads as smothering to me. Jay comes off as really passive, bordering on TSTL during the completely out-of-left-field kidnapping twist, and I really just prefer a more active heroine with an equal partnership.

Overall, while this is quite sweet and sappy, this was just not my cup of tea. If you like possessive alpha heroes and passive heroines, then this book would probably be more up your alley!

Stuck in the friend zone is not where Jordan Chen wants to be when he looks at Jay Rose. Some may think she's cold and driven but he know the warm loving woman behind the facade. As head of security for Osborn Corporation Jordan has had plenty of time to watch and fall in love with Jay. So how does he get her to see him as more than a friend? When Jay becomes a target of trouble, she finds out exactly how Jordan is willing to do to protect her and just how much he cares.

This is a nicely written story and these characters are fantastic. I think everyone will enjoy this story. I highly recommend it.

Oh Alexa Riley... I love you. Claimed is one of those books that just makes me happy. Jay and Jordan are both delightfully weird and awkward which made them so relatable! They both long for the other but have NO idea how to make a move. Its adorable.

Jordan has a close relationship with his father and I found that enchanting. I like stories that feature functional families and strong bonds. I loved that Jordan and Jay were both virgins! I know, everyone is over the virgins, but I think its sweet and adorable. Jordan and Jay both embraced their weird. From awkward dates with stinky horses to knocking heads together, they are just adorably awkward. For you office romance fans, you will love the interactions between Jordan and Jay in the office! Its where they met and build their friendship, but its also where their relationship progresses!

There was a great deal of danger too! I wasn't expecting that and I loved it!! The plot twist was engaging for sure, and I loved that it brought out a new side to Summer. Jay deserved to see Summer grow up for sure. While the actual villains were not a surprise, the events keep you on the edge of your seat for sure.

Claimed is everything I love about Alexa Riley and more! I love suspense and danger, so to get the over the top romance and the drama and danger was like a dream come true!

I really enjoyed reading this book by Alexa Riley. I’ve read a lot of books by this author and I really do enjoy her books. I think this is now my favourite by her so far. I really connected with this book from the very beginning and it stayed with me till the very end. Had amazing characters that are likeable and relatable. This book has such a wonderful storyline that I really liked and the romance in this book was just perfect for this story. Author has done such a outstanding job with this book and I can’t wait for more books by this author. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone

Final Score - 5 ALPHA Stars!

When we first meet Jordan, he has already fallen hard and fast for Jay, but feels stuck in the friend zone. Not wanting to rock the boat and loose her friendship, he stays there. Jay is administrative assistant. She's professional, cool under pressure and has a take no BS attitude. Some have called her cold and icy, but that's just a mirage. She feels a pull towards Jordan, but like he, is in the friend zone. A threat forces Jordan's hand and his alpha male persona take over, wanting to both protect and claim the woman he loves. Swoon worthy and oh so hot!

Although reading about these two and their miscommunication at times was frustrating at times, I really did enjoy this book. It's about two people who start off as nothing but friends, but then find that white hot chemistry that's been there all along and turn into lovers. Sizzling!

Claimed is book three in the For Her Series and can be read as a standalone.

Claimed by Alexa Riley is definitely my favorite book in this series, and I dare to say my favorite book by this author-duo so far.

Jordan & Jay might be the sweetest couple I've ever read from these authors. They were so cute, so perfect together. Their story put a big smile on my face. And not only did Alexa Riley delivered their signature steamy, alpha-feeling good romance, they gave me all the sugary goodness they could find and had me swooning all over the place. Seriously, so sweet!

Also, it was so nice to get more of the previous characters in the series. They are like a big family and I'm hoping the author decides to add more to it.

Overall, Claimed was a great addition to the series. I just loved and devoured this friends-to-lovers romance in one seating. If you're looking for a sweet hot smutty romance book with one man willing to move heaven and earth for the woman he adored, this is your book!

Claimed: A For Her Novel Alexa Riley is book Three in the "For Her" series. This is the story of Jordan Chen and Jay Rose. I have read the previous books (and loved them~!) but feel this can be a standalone book.
I just love Ms. Riley's book and always so excited when she does a full length book so I had to have this one for sure!~
Jordan is a smart guy who I would say seems to stay in the back ground but when he sees Jay it sets something off in him. Jordan still has a hard time putting words in to full length around her but he does start to come out. Jordan turns into the much loved stalker/alpha male character. Jay is the usually confident hardworking girl working to put Jordan in the friends zone until he would be placed there anymore.
Loved their story!!

3.5/5
Jay Rose has featured in the series from the very beginning as Miles' (Everything For Her) fiesty Executive PA. Jay prides herself on her organizational skills and getting the job done, her demand for excellence doesn't win her any friends compounding Jay's inherent loneliness. The only person that has shown her any form of friendship is the digital security guru, Jordan. Determined to push aside her attraction to Jordan in an effort to connect on a friendship level, Jay begins to rely on Jordan sharing pieces of her life, the ups and the downs with him.

For his part, Jordan is utterly adorable, falling hard and fast the moment he set eyes on Jay, Jordan is determined to work his way beneath Jay's prickly exterior and into her heart. From their first meeting, Jordan's alpha instincts kicked into overdrive, determined to protect Jay from even the smallest piece of discomfort. Jay embarks on a quest to shield Jay while breaking down her barriers, memorizing her schedule and keeping watch via the security system are just a few of the ways Jordan operates. While it would seem excessive and a little deranged, the whole protection service actually appears quite endearing when in association with Jordan. You see, Jordan is a truly caring person, ensuring his father is taken care of and his friends are happy, he really is one of the good ones.

When Jay uncovers some shady dealings at play within Osbourne Corporation she becomes the target of the villains in question. The danger ramps up Jay's testosterone levels in his pursuit of the scoundrels threatening Jay and his future happiness.

The previous couples, Miles and Mallory along with Paige and Ryan, play pivotal roles in the plot. I loved seeing how their relationships had progressed and completely loved Miles' character development.

In true Alexa Riley style, Claimed blends sweet and steam creating the guilty pleasure romance we have come to associate with the writing duo. I really like how all of the plot threads are brought to completion within the story alongside the glimpse of the future for Jordan and Jay ♥
