Unraveled by Helen Hardt is a good fit for readers looking for a fast-paced romance novel with a focus on resolving past mysteries and overcoming challenges to maintain a deep love between the main characters.

I did not realize when I requested this book that it is the 9th in a series. Also due to the subject manner I cannot say it was "entertaining." The series contains incest, rape, human trafficking and kidnapping in case you are triggered, Though the characters are interesting and the story is complete, I was lost because it seems that the books are interconnected and should be read in order. My mistake for not doing my homework. I would suggest you read the many 4 and 5 star reviews of the series, and if it sounds like your jam, read it in order.

LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS SERIES!!!!

Honestly, the best series I have read. It had love, romance, suspense, sadness, sexiness....really, it had EVERYTHING!

I would recommend this series and book to everyone.

This is the final book in the series and while I wanted to love it just like I did the previous books in the series this one fell a little short for me it just felt really rushed in places it kind of felt like the author could not wait to get to the end but that might just be me.

So many questions finally answered when threats continue to emerge. Battling each one would provide a glimpse into the past and finally allow them to focus on their future.

Helen Hardt's writing is way above par!! You literally will be hooked on this series from Craving (Steel Brothers #1). Don't miss it! This is number 9 of 9 so you have plenty to read first.

Well that's one way to end a series. I still think the 1st three books were my favorite but I had to see it through. I only wish that Marj could have been more involved some how because she was a great character but didn't get enough attention in my mind. maybe one day in the future we will be blessed with some kinda Marj ending.

SPOILERS of sorts

It shocked me to find our that not only was Brad Steele alive but his wife and Ruby's mom. And I won't lie I am glad to see Wendy and Theo dead...they were some really messed up people.

This book was amazing. Very twisted ending but perfect to finish the series. I would love to see something with Marjorie in the future to see if she gets her happily ever after as well.

Well, this next comment is pretty much a first for me because I'm not a cliffhanger fan. I believe the Steel saga is better if the reader buts a little time between books or at a minimum, between the brothers' sections. I began this series with book 7, Shattered the beginning of Ryan Steel's quest. I love it. I love it so much that I immediately purchased the first six books in the series and jumped right in to get Talon and Jonah's backstory. From what I learn in Shattered it is apparent that their stories are dark and emotional too; I needed more. The problem is by the time I got back to Twisted and finally Unraveled it feels like too much repetition.

The Steel Saga shows how one horrific event not only damages the victim (Talon) but the entire family. Jonah and Ryan are as emotionally damaged as Talon with a type of survivor’s guilt. Ryan because he got away from the kidnappers and Jonah because he didn't want to join Talon searching for a friend. They all need justice to deal with the emotional repercussions that play with their minds in equally destructive but distinctive ways.

The three brothers need to find out the whys and wherefores to answer “Why me?” “Why us?” "Is my family who I think they are?" “Who is behind all the pain?” The journey they travel is heartbreaking at times, loving at times, and emotionally healing. It reveals family secrets that none of them want to believe. They face the knowledge that people who love them have a hand in their pain and heartache. How do they move past the secrets they uncover? Can life ever be normal or safe again?

Unraveled is the wrap-up book for the saga and Ryan and Ruby. The anxiety, twists, and the need for the brothers to find closure gives the reader many nail-biting moments. I love the Steels. They are some of my favorite dark and damaged heroes. The heroines are wonderfully strong and hold on to get them through some heart-wrenching trauma. While there is a lot of push-pull as the relationships mature, it isn't too much.

Ryan is my favorite Steel probably because I met him first. For most of his life, he is the happiest of the Steels. He hero-worships his brother Talon. Guilt is heavy on his heart because Talon fought for him to get away from the kidnappers. He is loyal even though hurt by revelations kept from him. The family secrets put him into a tailspin and make him question everything about his life.

Ruby Lee is a great character. She is strong and grows tremendously through these last three books. She is a good cop looking for justice. I love that she jumps into the fray with both feet not only for her man but for herself too. She is on a quest and won't give up until she has all the answers even if the answers hurt. It put me off a little that the women who are so strong at the beginning of the saga become bystanders in the end. I understand Melanie’s dilemma, but it feels like she should push Jonah a little more. She knows he needs answers.

Unraveled is a tense read. There are a lot of heart-stopping twists and constant action from beginning to end. Mysteries are cleared up, and questions answered. There are a few times that I give a hand wave or an eye-roll but not often enough to take me out of the story. I’m left wondering if there is another story to come with Bryce Simpson and Marjorie Steel.

Finale to a great series
ByS. Wingoon March 5, 2018
All the questions from the previous books are answered. Everything was unraveled for the Steel brothers and Marj. So many twists and turns were ended in quite a surprising turn of events. Hoping for a story about Marjorie. Helen has written an awesome series with this one..

"Unraveled" by Helen Hardt is the perfect ending to the perfect series. As long as the reader can handle the flashbacks of the abuse described in this series, you will not be disappointed.

Finishing this book was bittersweet for me - and it may have taken me longer to finish than it should have. Deep down, I did not want to finish, because I didn't want the series to end. The author did wrap everything up, and answers all of the questions that came up throughout the series.

Most series that I have read reach the point that they just seem to drag on, and the author is basically grasping at straws to find something else to write about. That is not the case in the Steel Brothers saga, if anything she leaves you wishing that there was more.

The Steel Brothers Saga by Helen Hardt is an amazing series about the Steel family, Jonah, Talon, Ryan and Marjorie. The series consists of nine books, three books about each of the Steel brothers and their heroine. Their sister Marjorie does not have her own story (yet, I’m hoping for maybe book of her own outside of this series) but she an integral part of the entire series. I first came across Talon and Jade’s book CRAVING in October of 2016, going in I assumed the three different books out at that time were Jonah, Talon and Ryan’s. I finished CRAVING, OBSESSION and POSESSION, Talon and Jade’s three books and realized that there was no way I was going to pick up Jonah’s or Ryan’s books until all nine books were out. Why? Because each book leads into the next and the suspense and twists and turns would’ve driven me crazy waiting for each book to come out. Ms. Hardt is that good! A week ago I was able to start the series over again, so I re-read Talon and Jade’s three books, then binge read the remaining six books, finishing up at 4:00 am on this morning.

I’m not going to review the eight books prior to UNRAVELED all I am going to say is the entire series has hotter than hot sex, strong but broken men and the strong women who can be their true partners. This series will have you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails, it will also emotionally destroy and break you as you find out how just how horrible events and situations that the Steel siblings and some of their friends and family have gone through. By the end of UNRAVELED you will have been put back together, but left that a series that will stay with you for a long time.

This review is actually for UNRAVELED. WOW! What a twisting, turning, sickening, heartbreaking ride leads all of the Steels have, but Ryan and Ruby are still uncovering the sordid past of their families and stumble across even more surprises and twists that I didn’t see coming. I love how Ryan and Ruby were the jagged pieces of each others broken souls, they fit perfectly together. They are in love with each other but have what seems like insurmountable mountains to climb. Each had a vulnerability that made me want to reach out for a group hug. Their passion was blazing hot and fierce, their love for each other even more so.

UNRAVELED wrapped up the Steel brothers stories nicely. I do still have a few unanswered questions, but I’m hoping that means there may be a spinoff or a book for Marjorie that will answer the questions. I don’t feel like I have closer on the Steel family though, I need to know what happens to Marjorie and Jonah’s best friend Brice, as well as a few other characters that are introduced throughout the series.

UNRAVELED 4.5 stars

Entire series 4.5 stars

While, I love this author and this series, I thought it got to be a little long and drawn out. Some of the sex scenes seemed misplaced and thrown into a time/place that no normal person would want to do it. That being said, I did enjoy the book and the series, and I'm glad to have some closure for the Steel family.

Unraveled by Helen Hardy is the 9th and final book in the “Steel Brothers” saga. And boy did the author save the best book for last!!!!

Seriously, this author rocks!! Her story telling is truly captivating!! This is a dark romance with some trigger issues.

I highly recommend this entire series from start to finish. This is the final book and man does this story come full circle. Questions are answered and what a twisty adventure you’ll go on!!

A series, I will for sure be reading again!!

An absolutely perfect, surprising ending to the Steel Brothers saga! You simply must read the entire series to fully enjoy. So much better than 50 Shades!

Wow! This was a dark intensely thrilling read. Beautifully written with fantastic characters. I loved Ryan and Ruby connection and chemistry. I didn’t read the series in order so I missed some events referred to in this story but it didn’t deter from enjoying this one. I will go back and read the ones I missed.
