This is a new to me author and I'm hooked already. I would love to see more from her.
Jeremiah and Ava are an intriguing couple! I love them because they come with flaws and Jeremiah strives to prove himself in his Amish community.
I love that Forgiveness is the theme throughout this story because at the same time it offers hope.

Their Amish Reunion by Lenora Worth is book one in the Amish Seasons series. But it is far from the author’s first book. Lenora has written close to eighty books. I have enjoyed reading her Love Inspired stories over the past few years.

In Their Amish Reunion I liked the main characters, Ava and Jeremiah. Jeremiah had something to prove, but in a good way. There is much need for forgiveness and hearts to be open to the possibility of love for several people involved in Jeremiah’s life. It was good how the author showed Jeremiah’s inner struggles. This story is about how restoration can occur, even if it is a struggle getting there.

I really enjoyed this book. It had a different twist than most Amish books. Jeremiah left his Amish way of life to become a Navy seal when one of his best friend was killed in action. Ava Jane was the one left behind, She is widowed now and Jeremiah is determined he is going to win her back. Will he be able to live the Amish life and be able to win Ava Jane back?

I highly recommend this book. It is a nice clean read with some unexpected twists and turns.

Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin for allowing me to read this title for an honest review

Widowed, single mother, Ava Jane Graber, can’t believe her eyes when she sees that her first love has returned to Lancaster county. Years ago, Jeremiah did the unthinkable when he left the Amish faith, and Ava Jane, behind to become a Navy SEAL. The prodigal hero has returned home seeking redemption from his community, his family, and the woman who still holds his heart, and now his ultimate mission is to become Ava Jane’s husband. But, can he prove to her that he’s really home for good ? Can Ava Jane overcome the pain she felt when he left her behind and give Jeremiah a second chance?

This was such a sweet, simple story and I enjoyed it a great deal. I’ve read some of Lenora Worth’s other books and know that she’s a wonderful storyteller. And I really love reading stories about the Amish, so when I saw that Lenora had written an Amish story, I was excited about getting to read it. I can honestly say that it lived up to my expectations. Lenora has a real gift for telling a story in a way that it plays perfectly in your mind. Couple that with the amazing ability to write dynamic, well developed characters, that you’d genuinely like to know, and it’s a winning combination. This particular story revolves a lot about the importance of being able to forgive others, as well as yourself, and the necessity of second chances. It’s not always easy to let go of the pain that someone else may have caused us and to truly forgive them, but it’s such a necessary part of our Christian walk, because Jesus brings us true forgiveness and salvation. It’s also important to forgive because, until we’ve done so, we can never fully move on with our lives. Sometimes, the hardest person to forgive is ourselves; it’s so easy to hold onto the things that we’ve done wrong, the areas we’ve failed. But all that does is keep us from being able to fully serve a God today. He doesn’t want us to stay miserable because of our pasts. He’s already forgiven us, so why wouldn’t we do the same? I love stories that talk about forgiveness and the prodigal son, as I know it brings much joy to God when one of His children returns to their faith in Him.

This is the first book I have read by author Lenora Worth and I am very impressed. Their Amish Reunion is a compelling story of a love lost through a life's choice. Jeremiah and Ava Jane were a young couple in love, yet unusual circumstances took Jeremiah away from the Amish and the woman he loved. Ava Jane harbored bitter resentment because. of Jeremiah's actions and when he returns home to the Amish life, she struggles to forgive him.
The theme of forgiveness is deeply embedded in this story. It is showcased by Jeremiah's strong grasp of Biblical principles which strengthens him and gives him hope of better things to come. This story will tug at your heart and I found you may want to have tissues handy because tears flowed freely from me. I highly recommend this wonderful book.

This is a quite different Amish storyline: How does a former Navy SEAL return to his Amish faith and community after his service to his country, especially when he has to deal with the things he’s seen while away at war? This is a touching story of love, loss, forgiveness, and redemption. The characters of Jeremiah and Ava Jane find themselves struggling to both love and accept the circumstances of their lives. Lenora Worth does a great job of making their story both intriguing and believable. A clean, sweet romance with no bad language or embarrassing scenes.

Widow Ava Jane Graber is shocked to run into her former love Jeremiah. When Jeremiah left the Amish many years ago, Ava Jane moved on with her life and married his good friend Jacob, they had a god life with two children, Eli and Sara Rose, up until he drowned two years ago. Ava Jane had been selling baked goods to make ends meet, and is surprised to see Jeremiah show up at her stall.

Jeremiah left the Amish 12 years ago and has since become a Navy SEAL, he has been under fire and faced some of the greatest dangers, but the bravest thing that he has ever done is come back home. His father is dying, and his family needs him, Jeremiah wants to make amends for the bridges e burned 12 years ago.

Can Ava Jane forgive Jeremiah, and will they get a second chance at love?

The elders allow Jeremiah to stay if he starts taking baptism classes, which he agrees to. After his crazy life with the SEALs he is looking forward to a simpler life again. He tells his father about how he got into the SEALs and the adventures he had with them. Jeremiah may have left the Amish, but he didn't abandon his faith. He is a man of action and is quick thinking in a crisis.

Ava Jane jumps to conclusions and thinks that Jeremiah is a bad influence on her son, when in fact he is a great friend and mentor. Ava Jane is reluctant to forgive Jeremiah, but as she sees the man he has become they find their friendship rekindled. I liked how their dialog reflected their past relationship, and how they are now.

Overall a great story of forgiveness and second chances. Jeremiah is my favorite character, he is very brave to return home and I like how he reaches out to reconnect and rebuild burned bridges.

A story about forgiveness, and an unusual one in that our main Amish character is a former Navy Seal, and is wanting to step back into his old life in his safe community.
The author has him leaving behind a young Amish woman Ava Jane, who was madly in love with Jerimiah, and now this woman is a widow with two young children.
How does the community, including Jerimiah, who needs to forgive himself, and the basis of their faith, forgive? What an easy thing to say, but a really hard thing to totally do.
As we journey through this story we are able to live the daily of lives of these folks, and we watch a Jerimiah pours out his pain to his family, and in particular to his Dad. Will he find what he is looking for here, and will he be able to resume his religion?

This story is so different from other Amish stories in many ways. Jeremiah becoming a Navy seal, fighting in a war and then returning home is hard to believe. Jeremiah's father being on a feeding tube is so unlike the Amish. I like that the author stressed the PTSD factor and the hard reality of coming home after war. I liked the story being that it was very emotional but to me it was unrealistic about the Amish.

This is a lovely reunion romance. Twelve years ago Ava and Jeremiah were in love and she looked forward to settling down with him in their Amish community. Jeremiah was always adventurous and when his Englisher friend who was a Navy Seal died in combat, he felt he had to join the Navy Seals to honour his friend.

He left behind his family and Ava, leaving her broken-hearted. Eventually when she realized Jeremiah was never coming back, she married his best friend and had two children. A couple of years ago, her husband died and Ava is a widow, struggling to make ends meet.

The return of Jeremiah is unexpected and a little scandalous. The only good thing is that he hadn’t made his adult commitment to the community before he left, so there is a possibility of redemption and eventually acceptance.

Ava is shocked when she meets Jeremiah and discovers in herself a deep well of anger and resentment against her first love. She had loved him deeply and though she came to love her husband, it wasn’t the same.

Jeremiah has his own struggles. As a Navy Seal, he experienced things that have left their mark and he is subject to PTSD like many soldiers. Coming home is the most important thing in the world to him, and finding Ava free is both a grief for the loss of his friend and something to give him hope.

I really engaged with this story. They are both good people but the years apart have not been easy for either of them. At times I found it very emotional.

The ending was very satisfying.

I received an ARC from Netgalley for an independent review.
