A definite book to relax with. A getaway into a world of logic and love. I enjoyed reading this book as the characters and the life situations felt real but were handled with logic and romance and just plain heart. Both Jake and Emily are single and widowed friends who are left with their children and are having a hard time finding some semblance of normal. When they decide its a good idea to to work together to be there when the other isn't to take care of the child care aspect and while one is working things start to get a bit complicated.

So this book turned out just as I expected as a good medical romance type of contemporary. I liked the characters and how they worked their problems out with each other. I loved that connection between the two and that they really balanced each other out. Overall pretty good book I pretty much devoured it in one setting it was a pretty short book.

There was nothing wrong with this read but for me, I didn't enjoy it so much because both H & h loved each other from the start but that didn't stop them from loving, marrying and having babies with others. Its a personal preference for me that I like my protagonists to only love, marry & have babies with each other. When I came across this book, I thought perhaps the kids mentioned may have been adopted or inherited-type storyline....

But, ultimately come to realize that second chances are also possibilities.

This is a sweet, easy to read romance about two people who should have been together years ago but circumstances and time kept them apart. Now that they are both doctors and single parents it seems the time has passed them by. Or has it? When they have to join together for practical reasons and ultimately live together, the realize that the time has come to look at the truth of their feelings for each other.
