Hannah has left her Amish life several years ago. She wanted to experience the Englisch life. Things haven't gone as she has thought they would. Now she's returning back to her Amish roots, with her fifteen year old son Brandon. What is going to happen now? How are things going to go? After being gone away for so long? You will have to read the book to find out.

I absolutely loved reading this book. It's the first book in a brand new series. This book held my attention from beginning to end. Just when I thought something was going to happen it didn't. There were twist in this story that kept it interesting. Wanting me to read faster to see what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book to others. You are going to love it as much as I did. I was given a digital copy from the author for an honest review. I was given a digital copy through NetGalley.

Sweet inspirational story. It's amazing to read about the Amish in different communities and note the differences. This story is about a more conservative group than other stories that I've read. I felt for Hannah trying to rely on God and make the right choice after all the mistakes she had made. I did guess her secret early on and liked the way the author handled it. Looking forward to the next book in this new series. Recommended!

In A Home for Hannah, Amy Lillard brings to life the struggle of a single mom who left her Amish faith fifteen years ago for the English world. Hannah McLean has to return home after her unfaithful husband dies without any money and few possessions due to his extravagant spending. Pontotoc, Mississippi is exactly like she remembered and so is lost love, Aaron Zook.
Aaron is not sure how to take the news of Hannah’s return. He has always loved her even though he moved on and married and raised a family with another woman. Now left a widower and taking care of three children, he is unsure what to do.
Hannah and Aaron have many obstacles and decisions ahead of them, but one thing is for sure, they never quit loving each other.
Amy does an amazing job with this story. I felt so much emotion, that I honestly had to put the book down at times. I loved the message in the end that once we let go and let God take control of our life, then everything has a way of working itself out in the end. I hope this wasn’t the end for Hannah and Aaron.
There is so much more I could say about this book, but I do not want to leave any spoilers. Add this book to your must-read list!!!
I received a copy of from NetGalley and Kensington Books in return for my honest review.

Hannah Gingerich McLean and her son Brandon return to Hannah's Amish roots in Pontotoc, MS after a devastating blow to her marriage. Hannah plans to get back on her feet and secure a normal life for her son and herself after a stay with her Amish family whom she has not seen in 15 years. After being welcomed back into her childhood home, Hannah tries to piece together her existence while her former life in Pontotoc subtly flows into her veins again as she remembers what and who she loved while growing up. A simple decision to stay or go weighs heavy on her heart as mistakes of the past cloud her future keeing her in limbo. Hannah must grasp at the remnents of her faith to build her strength to deal with God's plan for her. A plan that will change many lives.

Amy Lillard's new series is hard to put down. The story focuses on three major protagonists Hannah, Brandon, and Aaron. Amy takes us into their minds as they dissect the lives they are living as well as the hopes and dreams they have. I loved Brandon (Hannah's son). His character portrayal is especially rich...ripe with emotion, dealing with typical teenage issues, but yet possessing a mind that sees a greater plan, one with spiritual implications. All this coming from a young man who has barely graced the insides of a church!

I look forward to traveling along with these characters as they follow their destinies in Pontotoc, MS. This is definitely a book you want to add to your collection!

Fifteen years ago, Hannah left her strict Amish community and the young boy she loved to live among the English for a little while. Something happens and she gets married and has a son. Now, newly widowed with a teenage son, she is back needing a place to stay until her financial matters get worked out. Will her parrents allow her to stay ?? Will the community allow her to stay ??

She runs into her first love and realizes he is widowed with young daughters. She wonders – did she ever stop loving him, but she knows it’s too late, she is now English.

This is a wonderful story with love, loss, happiness, sadness, but most of all forgiveness. Amy Lillard never fails to tap into many of our emotions. I had a hard time putting it down.

A Home for Hannah is a perfect example of the Amish' community's emphasis on forgiveness and on the love of family. Hannah returns to her parents home, widowed, and with a troubled teenage son, 15 years after leaving her family and community. While her parents and siblings of course have questions and concerns, they welcome her and her son with love and affection. Hannah feels adrift in many ways due to her late husbands' behavior and his gambling debts- revealed to her after his passing. She feels unsure of whether to stay and join the Amish church, or to re enter the English world for her son's sake. Amidst her confusion she is reunited with her one time fiance, Aaron, who is now also widowed and a single parent. Aaron has deeply conflicting feelings for Hannah. A Home For Hannah skillfully explores the conflicting feelings felt by Aaron and by Hannah as they re visit their past, and try to figure out what their future will look like. This is a book fellow readers will want to read late in to the night to find out what happens next.

This is the first book in what I hope that will be continued on because I want to see how Brandon is doing
I think Brandon is the coolest kid ever!!
I say cool because he's had to go through some serious changes in his young life that I couldn't even imagine!!
What secrets that are in this book!!
I enjoyed watching Hannah squirm and hemmed and a hawing to avoid the truth
Folks, the truth always comes out no matter how you try to hide it or how long either. Someone is bound to find out just as Aaron did
Some can be pleasant and other not so pleasant.
I also liked Aaron because to me he got the rotten end of the deal. Poor mam!! I think if I were to have a dad, I'd want him to be like Aaron.
I love the twists, turns this story has to offer.
I love the old saying There's no place like home!!It's so very
true in my case. Ohio is my home. I never wanted to leave it. But that was my dad's decesicion and no one else had a say in it.
I'm somewhat like Brandon. Changes doesn't come easily to me.
I don't like changes because it's
hard to get adjusted to new things
For a shy person like me, it's hard to make friends. It's why i love my orchestra group and reading takes me to many different worlds.
So far this is my very favorite read by Amy Lillard
I received this book for free. All opinions are my own

I thoroughly enjoyed A Home for Hannah! The characters were unique and inspiring. The story was different than other Amish books that I've read which made it very memorable. I'll certainly be looking forward to the release of A Love for Leah from this same series later this year!

Hannah comes back to her Amish family after 15 years away. When her husband dies, and leaves her with a terrible debt, she has no where else to go, so comes back to her parents with her 15 year old son Brandon. Seeing her old love Aaron, who is now a widower with three children of his own, the old flame ignites, but with so many obstacles it is hard to see how they can be resolved. At times it was frustrating to see the thought process, but it does show the progress and path to get to the end HEA. A good book, and one I highly recommend if you like Amish romances.
