After devouring the first two books in the series, I thought I would do the same with this one. I don't know if I was prejudiced or if something else was holding me back, but I just couldn't get into it. I would have thought I had returned to my book slum if I hadn't devoured Run To Me (book 4 in the series) as well. So in conclusion, the problem was the book and not me. On the positive aspects of the books, I loved Willow and Jay's dynamic. They had a bond that made the book readable. The main issue for me was Jay. Not when it comes to his behavior and feelings towards Willow, of course, but rather as a man. The glimpses we got of him in the previous books didn't match the man he actually is. In the previous books, he seemed like a God and here he appeared to be a mortal. The series overall is great, so I wouldn't give up after this book.

Watching Jay and Willow fall in love was wild and page scorching. It was a very good edition to this spiraling and riveting Lazarus series.

Continuing on the Lazarus Rising series, Jay Maverick finally gets his book. The Lazarus Project was a super secret hush-hush, maybe it's the government, maybe the government doesn't even know what's really happening, type of project. They were trying to create super soldier, and they did, but there were some...side effects.

The soldiers have to die first.

The Lazarus serum resurrects them, and the soldiers are blank slates. They have no memories of their previous lives, they have enhanced senses, sometimes even telepathy or other extra senses.

Willow has been free from the facility for a few months now, but she's confused. She has no memory of her old life, and no one can find anything out about who she was, not even tech wizard billionaire Jay. She stays with Jay now, and since he funded the project originally, she figures he's just trying to atone for that. But she has no idea he wants her close because he just plain wants her.

Willow is dangerous. She can make people see/live their worst fears. And she worries that she's going to hurt Jay. Jay decides that taking Willow out to a red carpet event where reporters will be swarming the place is a good way to use her as bait. Her face will be splashed everyone and they can draw out whoever might still be looking for her. When someone takes a shot at him on the red carpet, she jumps in front of him knowing she'll survive a bullet, but that Jay won't. That sets off a chain reaction of several people from Willow's past coming out to find her, and not all of them are good.

With secrets from her past popping up left and right, with a few memories making themselves known, Willow is able to piece together some parts of her past life. But none of it is enough for her to recognize the danger stalking her.

Will help from previous characters Flynn and Sawyer, she and Jay must find out as much as they can about the danger she's in and how to keep her safe. That's if they can keep her safe. With every new discovery about Lazarus, they each learn that there is so much more going on, and it goes much deeper than they'd thought.

This book went in a new direction, and I'm excited to see more. I like how with Cynthia Eden you never know which side a character is on at first. Is he a villain? Is he a good guy? Read and find out! She has a knack for keeping the reader on the edge of their seat, and her plot twists are never predictable. With her style, you always get some insight into the bad guy's mind, and sometimes that's a dark place to be. I can't wait to read the next one!

I love that Jay gets his Willow, but he has to work for it. Jay is a fascinating character--money and ideas at the tip of his fingers, but the one thing that doesn't come easy is Willow, super soldier. It is those characters who keep the pages turning at fast speed.

RUN TO ME is the fourth book in Cynthia Eden's exciting Lazarus Rising series. Cynthia Eden puts her own unique spin on the billionaire trope. In RUN TO ME, a female super soldier with no memories is forced to rely on someone when she's not sure who she can trust. Cynthia Eden excels at putting the reader and main characters off balance. Like a good magician, Cynthia Eden uses the art of misdirection like a master so that the villain appears to come out of nowhere.

The Lazarus Project and those associated with creating, funding, or running it have damaged a lot of lives. Tech billionaire Jay Maverick harbors some guilt for the part he played in funding it. By providing the financial backing for the Lazarus Project, Jay became an unwitting accomplice to every dark deed that was done. It especially hits home for him now, because the woman who has quickly become the center of his universe was one of Lazarus' victims. Willow has no memories, but she knows she is incredibly attracted to Jay. I like the interesting dynamic of having the heroine stronger physically than the hero. Even though she may not need Jay for physical support, he quickly becomes Willow's rock of emotional support as she is bombarded by confusing half-memories. The mysterious killer and Jay's unstable ex provide an extra dose of excitement to the romance, without obscuring it. As Willow struggles with figuring out her identity and who to trust, she and Jay set the pages aflame with their torrid trysts.

RUN TO ME is perfect for romance fans who like their erotic wow with a side of danger. This book has a hero who is part suave billionaire and part sweet geek. Willow is a strong yet vulnerable heroine who is capable of saving herself and the hero. I am not normally a suspense fan, but I love Cynthia Eden's books because she expertly balances the chills and thrills with the out-of-this- world sexiness. I eagerly await Cynthia Eden's next book.

Willow woke up in one of the “Lazarus” research facilities and has spent her time running with the help of Jay...the cause of most of her problems

Jennings “Jay” Maverick likes everything about Willow. The only problem is that he helped to fund the Lazarus project.. inadvertently ruining her life.

Can Jay prove to Willow that he has learned from his past mistakes and wants to start a new life with her? Read and find out!

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

This book was interesting, Willow has a gift and a family history that will blow your mind. Jay and Willow balanced each other out. She was lost and afraid and he had the money and power to figure out just what she needed. Overall a pretty good book.

Its always the tech nerdy guys that surprise you. It was fun watching Jay go into full alpha mode, it just took the heroine Willow to drag it out of him. The biggest disappointment was that we didn't get to see Willow kick butt, instead it was Jay. This series is really beginning to grow on me, and to think I didn't like it. I'm really glad I've continued it anyway!

First let me begin by stating I adore this author so much, although this does not sway my review.

This is an amazingly written paranormal romance series. Each book blends so perfectly into the other. These books do not need to be read in order but it does help.

Fantastic chemistry between these two characters with a guaranteed HEA.

A must read!

I love Cynthia Eden's stories and this is no exception. The Lazarus Project series is such a delight to read. I really like Jay Maverick and have to say his story is one of the best. Willow and Jay's romance and story was intense at times and also full of twists and turns. Well-written and unique. Enjoyed it.

I received a courtesy copy of this book nd am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The Lazarus Project was the brainchild of a man that wanted to make a "Super Soldier". The subject is given a choice upon their death bed but when they awaken next, they have no memories...no past. They have increased strength, sight and hearing and possess a psychic ability. Some of the subjects have remembered bits and pieces, snapshots, of their previous lives but there is no guarantee.

They project is disbanded and some of these same subjects have gotten together to find others that were abused in this program. Jay Jennings is a techie billionaire who initially funded part of the Lazarus Project until he learned the truth about it. Now it is his goal to help also.

Willow is the only female subject. She was always isolated from the other, never allowed any interaction. The training she did, she did away from the other subjects. Jay fell for Willow the first time he saw her. He would do anything for her. Although he has repeatedly tried to assure Willow of his feelings, Jay has decided to just support her and hope she will eventually see him as a man who cares for her. Willow has mixed feelings about Jay, she knows he funded the project but is he telling the truth about how much involvement he had?

Willow doesn't really want to involve herself in any of these lives. She doesn't like to touch people because of what her abilities can do. She has seen how bad it can be for the person. The scientist is apprehended but seriously injured and all he can do is warn them....

I loved the character of Willow! She has to deal with all the issues the others do but has the isolation she endured added to it. She does care about Jay but is afraid....afraid of the snippets of memories she dreams and afraid she may hurt Jay.

Someone is looking for Willow though and he won't give her up.....

Really nice twist to the story which of course had everyone doubting what they thought they had figured out. I look forward to more!

Ms. Eden is an author I read often and she never fails to amaze me.

Cynthia Eden has long been a favorite author of mine because of her super alpha leading men. I have been curious about Jay since the first book in this series, and I was ready for him and the mysterious Willow to get their story. My favorite part of this book was how Jay's intensity and alpha qualities increased exponentially the closer he got to Willow. I also loved how Willow was strong yet knew when she needed her man and wasn't afraid to say so. Their story was super sexy, as all Cynthia Eden stories are, and not lacking in action and suspense. I am not usually a fan of stories with a syfy type aspect and haven't read any of the author's other paranormal series. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this series, but I'm completely roped in. I'm ready to see where West ends up and with who.

Net Galley provided an ARC and made me very happy.

After reading book #3 in this series (but not 1 and 2) I was excited to read this one and actually put aside other books on my to be read list just to read this one. We had a small glimpse of Willow in book 3 but the stories that were told of her had me wanting to read this book ASAP.

Unfortunately the book did not live up to my expectations.

First off, I found Willow to be annoying and immature. I expected a strong, kick ass woman who can stand up for herself which was not the case.

Second, there was no real basis for the relationship between Willow and Jay. It's obvious they knew each other previously but we're not told how exactly they knew each other or what their relationship had entailed. It's hinted at near the end of the book but it wasn't enough. This was a HUGE issue for me because I struggled to see how or why Willow should trust a man she barely knows. I have a feeling this was covered in book one or two (which I didn't read) but if so it should have at least been touched upon in this book for new readers.

Third, the ending fell flat for me. Yet again there is no closure and it's obvious that it's set up for another book including with new yet to be introduced characters. But I wanted closure between Willow and Jay which I didn't get.

Overall not bad, just not what I was expecting. I missed the connection between the characters that was in the third book in this series. There's also A LOT more players in this book than in the last one which was also confusing.

Book 4 in the “Lazarus Rising” Series has billionaire Jay Maverick trying to make things right that had gone so horribly wrong. He may have not been directly connected, but he was responsible for funding a project that had created mayhem and killed innocent people.

One such victim is Willow, the woman he can’t forget and the woman he wants to make a part of his life. But there’s so much mystery, danger and death associated with the Lazarus project that staying alive is a luxury and trusting anyone is a costly mistake.

Coming out of the burning Lazarus lab is a miracle but Willow doesn’t remember her past and she is honed with skills that a touch alone could kill one. Knowing Jay’s association with the project doesn’t keep her away, and with the help of Jay and other survivors, she may have a chance at a future with Jay.

Hearts heed no advice, passion and love have no boundaries and with death dogging their every step, Jay and Willow have a lot to fight for and a past they need to reconcile with. Another adrenaline read with enough suspense and intrigue to keep the interest of the readers, Cynthia Eden pens “Run To Me” as another thrilling hit. The secrets of the past are definitely a surprise as well as the closure of their story a heartwarming curve ball!

Received an ARC from the author and Hocus Pocus Publishing via Netgalley for an honest review.

Another great book in the Lazerus series. This is the story of Jay and the super soldier Willow. I liked the story overall, and there are good sparks between the two, but there were times when more details would have been useful. More on the side characters, especially Lucas, and more on the past characters would have been useful. I have read the others, but sometimes it is hard to keep track of who is who. Would like to see a story of Ben's in the future. Would recommend this book and series and author.

RUN TO ME has everything a reader comes to expect in a romantic suspense
If you’re looking for strong characters and beyond amazing storytelling than Run To Me, would be that story. Run To Me, book #4 in the Lazarus Risings series, written by Cynthia Eden and published under the Hocus Pocus Publishing. Was one dynamic story about atonement and worth.
Jennings “Jay” Maverick has a lot to atone for. His backing of a project called the Lazarus project has come back to haunt him in spades. When the subjects of the Lazarus project escaped and some of them found their way onto his doorstep. Jay finally realized that it’s not truly safe to try to play GOD. Especially when he finds himself falling for one of those subjects.
Willow is a mystery even to those who are just like her. She has all the same strength, but she was more formidable than all the others. With her strange ability to make the people she touches, see their own fears, she is one woman that you wouldn’t want to stalk you in a dark alley.
With no memories of who she is and why someone would use her as a test subject. With the assistance of Jay Maverick, those secrets are finally discovered. But they soon learn that not staying in the shadows has done more harm than good.
I really came to love Jay and Willow ever since they were introduced as secondary characters. And with this story, I came to love them even more. Especially, Jay. We finally learn the real reason why he funded the Lazarus project and that it wasn’t nefarious at all. Secrets were exposed, about a character that even I didn’t see coming, but the discover fit the narrative of what was being told and it wasn’t just added to push the story along. Run To Me didn’t have flaws that I could pick up. The story had a quick pace. The sparks between Jay and Willow was felt right from the beginning. I thought that Willow character complemented Jay’s characters beautifully.
Will I recommend this title: Most definitely! Run To Me will have you on the edge of your seat. I know it did me. I can’t wait to read LIE CLOSE TO ME book #5.

The electrifying Lazarus Rising series continues with another thrilling novel full of fascinating characters and an exciting plot that keeps reader glued to the pages.

Willow and Jay’s story is one sensational story that really has readers holding on the edge of their seats. Willow and Jay’s relationship is explosive with not only chemistry but emotional issues as well which really compels readers to want to get know them and in my case had me rooting for their “happily ever after” especially since in this book that remains questionable throughout.

The story not only has keeps the suspense building in the relationship, there seems to be danger following Jay and Willow with every step that they make. The thrills continuously build excitement as twists and turns keep readers guessing on just who is the bad guy, especially since when the enemies include the original scientist involved in the Lazarus project and Willow’s lack of a past and Jay’s secrets that add to the anticipation.

Cynthia Eden’s wrote another sensational book that I couldn’t put down. The Lazarus Rising series is fast becoming one of my favorites, so I can’t wait to read the next one, especially after that interesting conclusion.

4 - "I've got you..." Stars!

Cynthia Eden delivers another fast paced, action packed installment in the Lazarus Rising series. Run to Me is Jay Maverick’s book, and as expected Willow, the only known female Lazarus test subject, is the woman he has set his sights on.

"I crave you… When you touch me, my control nearly shatters. You’re not ready for what I want."

The tension and chemistry has been bubbling between these two since their introduction to each other, even though at that point Willow was intent on Killing Jay and the rest of the Lazarus team, his attraction towards her was evident from the get-go. Although she still has very little in the way of memories from her past, it doesn’t take long for Willow to understand the attraction she feels for him is not just plain old lust.

"Once won’t be enough… I’ll want you again and again."

This was a quick read, with all the previous characters playing their part in its telling, the situation with Wyman Wright takes an unexpected turn as well, and as always the author keeps you on the edge of your seat in relation to the action that occurs and with exactly who all the players are that are involved. Jay, definitely shows another side of himself in this one, with the tech billionaire showing his softer side, when the true depth of his feelings for Willow emerge.

"I’d never give up on you."

The author looks to be branching off a little with the next book - Lie Close to Me due for release in March, as we get too meet more new characters and Lazarus subjects, so I am interested in seeing how she will tie things together and how things are going to progress in future books, especially with the revelations from this one.

"I’m not exactly the type to talk shit."

Hands down this is the most amazing story in one of Cynthia Eden’s best series. I had been eagerly waiting for Willow and Jay’s story, even being a little let down when the third book was not theirs. No disappoint now. The time has now come with Run To Me, the fourth book in the Lazarus Rising Series. All of the books in the series have had twists and turns but Run To Me ramped that up even more. Lots of secrets revealed, characters may not be exactly as they seem with karma getting its bite in one of them too.

Willow brought a switch up as the female being the enhanced character, still Jay manages to be the strong alpha male lead. The romance is a wary push and pull with trust building that must be done. You don’t see if that has happened until the near the end when lives are in total jeopardy. Besides Willow and Jay’s romance a major thread that has been running through the series is tied up neatly. At the same time, this book still reads well as a stand-alone, since the necessary backstory is given.

As the book was winding up, I had the scary thought that this would be the final book. Thank goodness for the last scene which left the series open to more. Now if only West would get his story! Looking at the sneak peak of the next book, I will be waiting for his to come hopefully later.
