Collision Point by Lora Leigh
“Positively Addicting “
The chemistry between Riordan and Amara was positively addicting. As the reader, you could almost feel the spark between them. The bodyguard turned lover storyline had me hooked from the first chapter. A great read that is hard to put down. 5 stars !
I received this ARC from Netgalley through St Martins Press for a honest review

When I found out that Lora Leigh was writing a spin off series to her infamous Elite Ops, I couldn't be more happier. Wild Card was the first book I read of Lora's and to this day its one of my all time favorite books I have ever read.
Collision Point begins with a young woman named Amara. She was kidnapped six months ago, and was beaten daily. Until one day she wakes up in a hospital not remembering her own name. The nightmares of her past are hidden in dreams..... forcing Amara to come to terms on what happened to her back then.
Riordan is a man on a mission.
He puts his job and life on the line to protect Amara.
After he finds her with no memory of what happened to her, he tries to get in contact with Amara but to no avail.
But when Amara's memory starts to come back, she soon realizes just how much Riordan loves her..

Lora Leigh has always been a favorite and she didn't disappoint this time. I have been waiting for this book for a long time. Riordan and Amara's story starts out with some serious drama. My heart ached for Amara in the beginning. Yet I loved the depth of her as well as Riordan.
This story gripped me, held me captive. So much so I had to finish in one night. Don't want to give spoilers, but this is one hot, suspenseful, and emotional book. If you love Lora Leigh and hot steamy love scenes. That doesn't take away from the plot this book is for you.

This book was just okay for me. Not as well written or as interesting as many of her previous stories. I had a hard time keeping interest in the characters and the plot. There isn't one thing I can reference back to, just the entire story.

COLLISION POINT – Lora Leigh
A Brute Force Novel, #1
St. Martin’s Press
March 2017
978-1-25-011032-9
Erotic Romantic Suspense
Colorado - Present Day
She was broken and bleeding when he found her, saved her and died.
Amara Resnova, daughter of Ivan Resnova, a man with powerful enemies, was kidnapped and tortured. But Amara remembers none of this, except in her nightmares. She lost a year of her life and no longer knows who to trust. But she dreams of a man with piercing blue eyes and man who comes to her in her dreams and chases away the nightmares with a fiery passion.
Riordan Malone nearly died saving the women he loves. After an agonizing recovery, he learns Amara wants nothing to do with him. But Riordan is not a man to take no for an answer. Once fully healed he will find her again, and not just in his dreams.
Driven to find answers to her lost memories, and sure her life is still in danger, Amara searchers for Riordan, the lover of her dreams. When she finds him, the desire for him is overwhelming. But can she trust him or is he part of a world that wants to see her dead?
Amara and Riordan strike a bargain. He will get back on her security detail to protect her from the current threats to her life and remind her that they are more than client and bodyguard, and she will learn to trust him again and remember him and the passion they shared.
COLLISION POINT is an intriguing story filled with suspense and raw passion. Amara and Riordan are well-developed characters, though he is a bit too bossy, and she is a bit too independent for a woman under threat. The dialogue flows well, and the mystery of who has tried to kill Amara unfolds slowly. The reader wonders who the true target is, Amara, her powerful father or the man who protects her and has secrets of his own.
For an exciting and sensual read, don’t miss COLLISION POINT, fans of Lora Leigh will not be disappointed.

Collision Point is a book I've been wanting to read and I absolutely loved it. Lora Leigh has done an exceptional job. Riordan Malone is simply to die for. He's hot and a warrior to boot. Amara is unique and still in love with Rory. Hot scenes along with some drama. LOVED IT!

Wow what did I just read? Lora Leigh has always been a go to author for me and she is on top with her newest novel, Collision Point. This is book 1 in her Brute Force series and I was hooked! I was immediately drawn into the drama from the get go. We start off with some dramatic events for Riordan and Amara. What I thought would last me a few days to read, only became hours. I was always wanting, no needing to know what would happen next.
The heat level with Riordan and Amara was so combustible, my screen almost melted! Even though there were holes in their love story, I just knew these two were meant to be together. Collision Point had my mind racing and on the edge. The conclusion of the story had me sad, and then before I knew it all changes! I loved this book and will keep my eyes open for more of this series!

This is the first book I have read by Lora Leigh, and I enjoyed it for the most part. Thanks go to the publisher, via Net-Galley, for the chance to read and review in advance of publication. Collision Point is an action-packed romantic suspense novel that walks the edge of erotica.
Ms. Leigh writes fantastic suspense scenes that had me nibbling on my nails, waiting to find out what would happen next. It quickly drew me in, and I had a hard time putting it down. This is a plot-driven story, and for anyone who loves hot, steamy, sexual scenes, there are plenty of those.
Regarding the characters, I never truly became vested in either of them. I would have liked more inner thoughts from both of them. The relationship was all about sex with very little emotional connection between the pair, so as a romance this book didn't work for me. At times, the sexual scenes seemed out of place. I found myself flipping through them to get onto the action. I'm sure other readers may not agree because reading is very subjective.
What did work for me, is the high suspense and the startling surprise at the end when I found out who the villain was. I could feel the heroine's pain at this realization. If I were to give two ratings for this book, I'd give 5 Gold Crowns for the suspense and 2 for the romance, hence my 3.5 rating.
If you love high suspense with a great "who done it" and lots of sexual scenes, then you will enjoy Collision Point. While the romance didn't work for me, the suspenseful aspect of this novel kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat and made it a worth-while read. Happy reading!

Riordan and Amara were true soul mates and the chemistry between them is off the charts. But they have to figure out who is trying to kill Amara before they can have their HEA. The suspense and action keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen and wondering who could be behind it.
This is a great beginning to a new series.

I enjoyed this first book of this series & look forward to seeing what happens next. This focuses on Amara & Riordan. It starts off with a bang at Amara's rescue from a kidnapping. Riordan is there & is shot. Then we go to six months later. Amara is trying to recover the memory she has lost from a year before the kidnapping to the present. She approaches Riordan because he has appeared in her dreams (sometimes very erotic dreams). She wants answers as does he. We find out their back story as the book unfolds. They have a very steamy connection. Ivan, Amara's father, is keeping things from her & she doesn't like it. Amara is determined to figure out who took her. There's a lot to Ivan's story that I think the surface has just been scratched. The twists & turns throughout this book are exciting & keeps you guessing. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens & to prepare for book two.

It’s a who did it to the end. I haven’t read a Lora Leigh book in awhile. This one is Amara and Riordan HEA. Amara was kidnapped and has lost her memory. She remembers Rory from her dreams and goes searching for him to help her figure out who wants her dead.
If your familiar with this author you know she writes explicit sex scenes, hot hero’s and strong women. It kept me guessing to the end who the bad guy was and Amara could be frustrating at times.
The side characters were from her Elite Ops series so you might recognize some names even though it could be read as a stand alone.

Thanks netgalley for a great book! What a lazy and stimulating Sunday read. A reckless love between a bodyguard and a woman being protected is always a good time. Riordan and Amara are lost in a tug of war of remembering what happened during a year Amara lost her memory. A brutal kidnapping, death, betrayal, and a conniving father, yes this book entertains well. Sexy and intense scenes between and alpha male and his true love is definitely between the pages as well. What more could you ask for in a book? Thank you for allowing me to read it.

When I first started this one I thought I had read it before but quickly realized it was related to the Elite OP series. Amara was kidnapped and rescued and six months has passed and her memory is gone of the events of the kidnapping and all events leading up to it, however, she is still in danger. Riordan and Grandpops and the Elite Ops and Brute Force team are brought back to protect her. The amnesia was a tricky thing and the chemistry between Riordan and Amara was palpable and combustible but Riordan walking on eggshells around her at times didn't sit well. This was a typical Lora Leigh romance and full of steamy sex and that was not disappointing.

Collision Point
This story started off with one heck of a bang, we are instantly thrown into the deep end of the pool with a brutal rescue between the two main characters Riordan and Amara.
Then we in chapter one go into the aftermath of that daring rescue and what has been happening since then, and this is where we see our main characters again and we find out that many things are not as they appear. Amara cannot remember the abduction or anything about the year before the abduction. And we quickly find out that both characters we're lied too and things we're covered up, but this is where a slight paranormal aspect comes in. Amara dreams and has nightmares of Riordan but can't remember their past together just she feels incomplete and truly safe with this man in her dreams, so she goes to find him to help her, because she has been attacked a few times since her recovery of said abduction and feels her father is lying to her. And she's trusts no one but Riordan.
Sexual tension is also off the charts with this story. It's a constant push pull concept. Amara is feisty but also very damaged and lost from the whole ordeal and Riordan is angry and bitter but deeply loves Amara and it shows by the lengths he goes to protect her.

I found this story hard to get into and didn’t care for the characters much in the beginning making completing the book a slow process.
I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

This is one of the darkest Leigh romantic suspense I have ever read. It is a spin-off series from her Elite Ops. The hero being Noah/Nathan's brother Riodan "Rory" Malone. He's part of the Brute Force Security Firm. They work closely with Elite Ops. All your favorite characters from Elite Ops play a part in this series. Riodan has been providing security for Elite Ops asset Ivan Resnova for a while. He's managed to fall in love with Ivan's beloved and very off limits daughter, Amara. Someone wants Amara dead and we don't really know why other than Ivan is playing a very dangerous game with Elite Ops and one of Russia's mafia families.
Amara doesn't really know what her father does for a living and is kidnapped and beaten within an inch of her life. Riodan is out of the country when it happens and while rescuing her he's almost killed. They are separated during the recovery for about 6 months. When Riodan is about to return she finds him. She has amnesia from her trauma and doesn't remember the kidnapping or the prior year including her affair with Riodan. She just knows he can keep her safe but doesn't know why. She is the most hot and cold, messed up heroine I have ever read. I almost gave up on the book because she didn't seem believable. I guess it makes sense with her amnesia and the magnetic draw between these two. I think I needed more understanding in psychology to get a full picture of her. She is really messed up!
Lora crafts a suspenseful story with her salting of clues as she always does. There is a traitor within the house but no one can figure out who. You will never figure it out, believe me. It's full of action, interruptions to passion, lots of old and making some new friends.
Thanks to St. Martin's Press and Lora for granting me an ARC of this book for my honest review.

This is one steamy novel. I felt a bit at sea occasionally but I now understand that's because this is a sort of spin off from another series. Amara and Rory certainly make a hot couple but this wasn't enough for me and I DNF. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I think it would have helped me if I had known what the heck was going on when the book began. This seems to start immediately from a prior book.
I think it also would help if more of the characters were someone I could like. The only one I did like was the grandfather in the story. The woman was fearful and whiny, and under the control of her overwhelming need for the hero. The hero was the rude alpha who sneers and demands. I’ve read too many tough alpha characters that aren’t jerks to care for Riordan, who is very much a jerk.
The plot is a confusing kidnap overthrow plot for a royal dynasty.

I find that there is a fine balance between steam and story. When the steam takes over the story it becomes more of a skimming and not so much entertaining for me. Most times Leigh hits the mark with that balance but its off in Collision Point making the telling feel choppy.
The fiery Amara and the bad ass Riordian were a perfect match. They do make the pages sizzle. This a great read for those who like lots of sexual tension and smoking hot reads.
I received this ARC copy of Collision Point from St. Martin's Press. This is my honest and voluntary review. Collision Point is set for publication Feb 27, 2018.
