This was an okay story but I don't feel like K.I. Lynn and Olivia Kelley did a good job of pulling in the reader. I didn't really connect with the either or the heroine.

4 Stars ... sexy book cover!

Everly has had a crush on Niko, her brother's best friend since she was a kid. She moved to California once she graduated, but when her boyfriend cheats on her, she decides to move back home. While Niko is waiting for Cam's sister (who he hasn't seen for 10 years) to arrive at the bar, a beautiful girl sits beside him and they end of leaving together for a night of wild sex. Everly can't believe that Niko doesn't recognize her, so she decides to take full advantage of his reputation of a one-night stand man. When Niko finds out that Everly is the one-night stand that he can't forget, he decides to convince her that they can have a future together.

This is a cute brother's best friend book that had me laughing out loud and there were lots of twist and turns. Although I did enjoy Everly and Niko's characters, I found the the book dragged on in spots and was repetitive. And the author sure played up the 2nd book in the series about Cam and Alyson ... only to find out that 2 years later and there still is no book.

I can cut this book into 60/40. The first 60% I didn't like much at all - far too much swearing, far too much of adults acting like little children, they all acted like morons and the writing style was meh.

However, the remaining 40% of the book is what has pulled the two star up to a three. You can 110% tell this book has been written by two different people - I don't know who wrote which bits but the remaining 40% was so much better than the first 60%.

I like Ev and Niko's dynamic. This is a story has a lot of back and forth, deception and fear because of lack of trust. Also some clever comebacks so I did like the banter and different attitudes. Not just from the main characters like for example Cam and Aly. There are some situations in the story that I feel could've been different and less repetitive. I personally couldn't relate to Everly, I found her character to be selfish in a way, but even with that I still think the book is entertaining enough.

I am a sucker for a good brother's best friend romance and this did not disappoint. I just loved Nico he was smoking hot and a great character and the chemistry between him and Everly is really strong and while I just loved these two together I could not make my mind up about her she was so immature at times and all the lies drove me nuts. Overall though this is a super read

Everly was starting a new life and returning home. She always had a crush on her brother’s best friend when she was growing up. Finally growing up out of her awkward stage Niko doesn’t realize the one person he was told to stay away from is the only person he is drawn to. A tangled web of lies results and trying to untangle each one gets sticky in this hilarious story. Absolutely loved Everly and Niko and fighting all the odds to be together.

Cocksure by K.I. Lynn and Olivia Kelley was a great read. It was my first time reading anything from either author and I really liked the writing style and flow of the book. The witty banter and brotherly ribbing between the hero and his best friend(heroine's brother) was funny af. I loved the plot! I am a total sucker for the forbidden fruit, best friend's little sister love stories.
I loved the hero Niko. He was a sexy firefighter, and reformed man whore that fell hard for his best friend's lil sister Everly. He was faithful from the moment he and Everly got together for the first time. He broke all his own rules with her.

Rules:
1. Never bring them back to my place.
2. Only one night.
3. Don't catch feelings.
4. See all rules above.

I loved that Niko made himself vulnerable with Everly. He put his feelings out there and he pursued her even after she pushed him away many times. I had mixed feelings for Everly. At first I loved her. I thought she was sassy, funny and smart. Then around the 40% til like 60% in the book I really didn't like the way she acted. She was insecure and immature. She would act bitchy and push Niko away.
I got were she was coming from. As someone that has been cheated on I total understood how she could feel the way she did. I got her insecurities, but I didn't like the way she would attack Niko for his past. Like just because he slept with a lot of women before her, that made him a cheater. She did pull her head out of her ass and by the end of the book I really loved her again. Niko and Everly together were smokin' hot. When they got together after Everly stopped pushing Niko away gave me all the feels. They were just so cute. I also loved Cam(Everly's brother) and Niko's friendship. I thought it was sweet and funny how protective of his little sister Cam was. He was like a sexier, tougher Ross from Friends.
Cam was great and I felt the sexual tension between him and Everly's best friend Aly. The ending of the book was very sweet. It gave me what I love in HEAs. I seen that the next book is Cam and Aly's and I can't wait to read it.

Niko is a hot fire fighter who lives his life by a few rules. Which basically means do not get attached to any girl. Until he meets Alyson at the bar and their one night together changes him forever. Until he learns her name isn't Alyson but Everly his best friend's little sister he promised to stay away from. Niko and Everly have to fight their own natural instincts in order to work out. Niko the guy who has always run from love is the one chasing the girl hard core. Everly is scared and hiding her head in the sand rather than admit what is happen.

Love the character development and the man chasing after the woman aspect. I can't wait to read the next one in this series.

4 sure Stars
This contemporary romance really cranks the heat on the sexual aspect and I loveeeddd it

There is nothing like a night out. A couple of drinks, some pretty girls, and a whole lot of fun for my dick. Lick, suck and fuck, then I’m out.
Nico is a manwhore that you want to strip naked and lock in a bedroom. He says exactly what he is thinking and Nico.. doesn’t promise any ribbons or rainbows. He promises you one night of explicit perfect sex. Until one day he takes home a mysterious stranger and wakes up with a post-it note on his dick.
But then again isn’t forbidden fruit always sweeter? I loved the secret texts and meet ups. I felt there was true character development in this book. But good god did Cam really just ruin the entire thing for me.
Oh and seriously the big “TA DAAAA” part of the secret reveal was …. TERRIBLE!!! It totally made me HATE Everly…. And I didn’t want to hate her… I didn’t .. and then the reveal happened and I totally didn’t care anymore.
I like that the book STILL had a few more twists and turns to it but it felt like two different books in one. I loved both halves but I never really saw how it linked together.

This is one of those books that can make you laugh out loud and give you some serious steamy scenes. Everly was that nerdy looking little girl who would follow her older brother, Cam and his best friend Niko around when they were younger. At that time there was definitely no reason for a “bro code” to come up but years later these three would find out how important this code was. Best friends are to never have impure thoughts about another guy’s sister not even mentioning acting on them.

Cam and Niko were the best of friends both working as firemen and living the single guys’ dream of different women all the time. It didn’t hurt that both of these guys had the looks and bodies to back up their lifestyle that would make most men jealous and most girls throw themselves at the guys. It was the night that Cam and Niko were to wait for Everly to come back home after being gone for years living across the country. Niko had no idea how much Everly had changed over the years; she was minus the coke-bottle glasses and the braces. So when Cam got called out on duty it was Niko who was to take Everly back to Cam’s place. Niko did not recognize who Everly was but she sure knew who he was especially since she had crushed on him all the time they were growing up.

This is their story of how friendships were tested, lifestyles changed and surprises were always in store. Cocksure would have me laughing so hard one minute and needing a fan just to cool off the next. This was a first time read of this author and I am really looking forward to the next book coming out in this series.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

Niko has been Everly's crush since she was kid. He is her brother's best friend.
When she comes back to Boston, after living several years in California, Niko doesn't recognise her. So, she decides to play a dangerous game. She changes her name in order to spent a hot night with him. He accepts, without knowing that she is Cam's little sister.
That's the beginning of the book. Promising, right?
When Niko finds it out, he is torn between telling the truth to Cam or not.
Things get messy. And that's when I started to enjoy this book.

My Review: I wanted to like this book more than I did, it had great potential and a great beginning, but went downhill fast. Niko is a hot and sexy guy and I did like him, however, Everly completely ruined it for me. She lies to everyone around her and acts immature and completely crazy with Niko. I like a bit of angst in my romances and I don’t mind the main characters fighting their feelings, but Everly just runs away from Niko every chance she has and it’s so frustrating to read. She is dishonest with him and her family, flirts with other men, takes advice from a slutty friend and all for no good reason. I don’t understand why Niko even wants her and I gave up caring about their relationship halfway through. Love scenes are glossed over and don’t come frequently enough for my taste and the supporting characters, Alyson and Cameron, are obnoxious and juvenile. This was definitely not the book for me.

I did enjoy book, however the heroine-Everly did annoy me a bit with the back and forth, and then there was the issue of telling her brother Cam the truth. She kept saying that she was an adult and he needed to see that but then she didn't want to tell him which was selfish of her since it could do harm to Niko's relationship with Cam by lying. I am glad that it finally, finally got resolved. Hope we get a book on Cam and Aly. Enjoy!

I've been wanting to read K.I. Lynn for awhile now. I have a lot of friends who have been raving about her books. When I saw this was up for grabs I knew I had to read it.

As much as I wanted to finally read this author, I was also nervous about that title. I knew that title meant we were getting an arrogant womanizer for a Hero and I'm really not a fan of arrogance.

I was right. In the beginning, that is exactly how Niko came off. He was cocky and a huge player but ultimately, he ended up being the reason I really liked the book.

Once Niko met Everly, his player days were over. The best thing about a womanizing hero is when they find the one, they are all in. Unfortunately for Niko, his One keeps putting him off. He never gave up on her though and I loved how he chased her!

Everly has always had a crush on Niko. She tried to tell herself it was just a little girls crush. When she moves back home and she gets the chance to have her one night with him, she can't pass it up. The problem, is he doesn't know she's Everly. It's been 8 long years since he has seen her and she doesn't look anything like she did as a kid.

Everly never expected Niko to want more than one night. She knows she can't hide her identity for long but she never thought she would have to tell her brother she slept with his best friend. The same best friend he ordered not to touch her. Oh the web we weave!

I'm glad I took a chance on this book and I'm definitely a new fan. The only downside for me was Everly's refusal to face reality. It was almost overwhelming in the story for me. Niko is truly what made me love this book. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Niko is a hot, cocky firefighter and ladies man. Everly is Niko's best friends sister whom he hasn't seen in eight years. Everly has always had a crush on Niko. When the two meet up Niko doesn't recognize her and she decides to go for a one night stand with him. Will one night turn into more? What will happen when Niko finds out who Everly really is? A good sexy read.

I really enjoyed this one. There was a only one time that I thought the story dragged on a wee bit too long, but I thought Everly and Niko were a great couple. There were a few chuckle worthy moments and those two had some killer chemistry together. I can say that I really want to read the next one about Everly’s bestie and brother. Those two are going to kill each other or have a lot of hate sex. Those two are going to be fun to read.
