Reading this book gave me such a boost in my self belief and confidence to go for things I'd been putting off. John. C. Maxwell is a legendary motivational author who never fails to deliver what the reader is most looking for. At times throughout reading the book felt like it was personally written for me and was an answer to an internal prayer. I have heard others say similar.
If you are opposed to quotes from the Bible and can't find a way of reading between those then perhaps this book might not be for you. But if you can then you are in for a treat and a huge confidence boost.

As with all of John Maxwell books, you are handed a potential toolkit to aide us on life's journey. John doesn't just lecture the reader, but provides stories in how the tools are used and not used, the changes people make to reach full potential and that you do not have to be a CEO or wealthy to be able to see full potential in yourself and those around you.

This short book is full of information and ideas to help push you out of your comfort zone and toward your goals and potential. Each chapter helps the reader focus on the different elements necessary to assess where you're at, consider how you've been holding yourself back, and reframe so you can move forward no matter your circumstances. I appreciated the emphasis on being of service to others and learning how to have a growth mindset. The tone is encouraging but also asks readers to be honest about their strengths, weaknesses, and excuses. The questions at the end of each chapter are helpful for summarizing the key points and understanding how the topics apply to your life.

I recommend this book if you're looking for a quick, focused read on how to stop using excuses and reach the next level of success.

I received an e-copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
