This is the final book in the Trilogy and the author does wrap up the story. The story picks up right where book 2 ended with everyone running around the island. It felt like Keystone Cops. Since the island was not crowded enough another Captain and ship has arrived. He takes Elaine captive. He is after a different type of treasure and wants Elaine help him. Henry seems too weak to be a hero and I did not feel like Henry and Elaine have an everlasting romance. I liked the romance between Louisa and Frederic better. I had a few quibbles with this book. I know MS was used sometimes in history but the Captain knew Elaine was married and continues to call her MS. I thought the red headed crew member was a dropped thread. Henry rebuilds his family business with stolen treasure again. On the plus side we do find out what happened with baby and everyone appears to live happily ever after. I did find the characters to still be rather shallow and the story predictable. All three book do have to be read in order and together. They are quick light reads.
