I always know going into a Susan May Warren novel that I'm going to love it and Storm Front was no exception. Ty Remington has been the character that I feel we've known the least about from prior novels so it was nice to find out more about him. It was also great to catch up with Brette Arnold, the girl who got away from Ty and that he couldn't stop thinking about. Both of these characters had some issues in their spiritual and personal lives that they needed to come to terms with. I felt frustrated with both of them at times and just wanted them to see what others saw in them and what God saw in them.

It was also nice to catch up with Kacey and Ben and see their story come full circle. This was an action packed book that was hard to put down. The worst part is knowing that there will be a wait to see what happens with Jess and Pete!

My introduction to Susan May Warren was through the novels she wrote that took place in Russia, and I loved them. Fast-paced and full of drama, Storm Front joins her other Montana rescue novels. This one will likely appeal to those who love faith-based romantic high adventure related to natural disasters. Unfortunately, this one did not grab my attention. My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel for this my honest review.

What a wild ride this book has been! This is Book #5 of the Montana Rescue series. This book focuses on the PEAK team with the help of others, searching for a group of teens and coach lost after a tornado hits the town. This is my first Susan May Warren book. Because this book is deep in the series, I was caught off by the amount of characters and past storylines from previous books of the series. I think it would have been better if I started with Book 1 but I was able to cat h up and figure who’s who. Anyways, I enjoyed the main characters and the secondary characters. This book focuses mostly on Ty and Brette and for the secondary story, it focuses on Kacy and Ben. Ty was a great hero who truly cared about people and was a man after God’s own heart. Brette was a great heroine. I like that we get to see her battling her past illness and how it affected her present and future. Ty was willing to be there for her no matter what no matter how hard she tried to push him away.. Ben and Kacey’s story had its own drama with their romance but in the end they both needed each other and were meant for each other. Brette’s sting as part of a storm chaser group was interesting to see. Susan did a great job showcasing all the imagery on how a tornado reacts in person. The spiritual thread in this book was also very prevalent and inspirational. Anywho, I’m gonna catch up on this series. I enjoyed reading this.

I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. This review is my own personal opinion.

I did read this book awhile back and it was ok.
Susan May Warren has an excellent style of writing that captures her readers in at once in my opinion.
I think the characters were cool and so was the tornado scene. I came from tornado alley myself and I have been in one a time or two. They sound just like a freight train coming right at you or it can go the opposite way. Tornadoes are strange that way.
I enjoyed this book and will probably read more from her in the future
I recommend this book to y'all

3.5 stars.

Kacey and Ben King are a strong couple - right?

And Brette and Ty have had something going on, right? That kind of something one can build a future on.

Yes - and no.

I have mixed feelings here. I LOVE the story of Brette and Ty! Very, very human, raw and touching. I understand Brette, who had been hurt and broken over so many times, that she has made a vow to trust only in herself. But Ty (with his bag of issues, too) can touch the deepest part of her still bleeding heart with his healing love. And vice versa, Brette can challenge him in the best meaning.

But Kacey and Ben? Pete and Jess? While I understand their humanity in their insecurities and that the very small things can function as the triggers to their brokenness - what about some maturity and some good fight? Can they not see the the true heart of their love interests? Can they stop run?

But still - this series is the best of what I have ever read from Susan May Warren. It is so much raw, it shows problems so real and in their reality so universal, and such life wisdom and courage! Ms Warren is not afraid to touch some very deep, sensitive issues and is doing that with such an understanding, that one wonders what had made heart so lovingly open and so openly loving.
My kudos and my thanks for that!

5th in the Montana Rescue series, I definitely recommend readings the series in order so that you have the back story for all the characters since they reappear in each novel. Susan May Warren books always seem to fall deep within my TBR pile and every time I read one, I wish I hadn't waited so long.

Heavy on the Christian novel side of things (which is perfectly ok, it's just more so than other Christian romances) the plot can hold it's own and is the reason I keep picking these up. My only complaint? I feel like every single female lead is unlikable. That could be a rash judgement, it's been awhile since I read one of these, but I could not stand Brette and while Kacey was a bit more likable, I was over the two of them. Regardless, I was entranced by the tornadoes and storm chasing...worth picking up!

Thank you Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love this series, but Storm Front began a little slow for me. It picked up the brief relationship between Ty and Brette from two books ago (A Matter of Trust), and there wasn't a strong foundation there to begin with. The first part of the book is definitely plot-centered, but it also begins to show the inner struggles of Ty and Brette that they have faced during their time apart, and are still struggling with. A secondary story line is the faltering relationship of Ben and Kacey from the first book, Wild Montana Skies, and their angst over Ben's career keeping them apart. As much as I enjoyed the mountain setting of the first three books, the storm-filled plains of Minnesota was a nice change of pace while still maintaining that small-town feeling of community.

The pace of the book picked up as the emergencies hit, bringing Ty and the rescue team to intersect with Brette and her tornado-chasing team, and they work together to search for missing townspeople. It was fascinating to see the mystery unravel as the team pulled together resources and information to solve where the missing were when the tornado hit, and follow Ty's "hunches" to where they would take cover and end up. Emotions ran high at times and as Brette and Ty open up to each other, their friendship is reestablished and they are able to provide reassurance, encouragement, and support. By the end of the book I was fully invested in the story and was happy to see how everything worked out.

Storm Front is another book by Susan that is full of a great group of characters that just come alive a little more. I really liked seeing the people again, even though it's a book that can stand alone, and learning more about them and their struggles and how God was working in their lives. Tornadoes happen where I live, in fact, one touched down a mile from our house and stayed on the ground for 4 miles during the timing of the reading of this book. That made this book all the more intense.

A wonderful book! I couldn’t stop at chapter one because the story kept pushing me further. Great storm details pull you into the story and won’t let go as you follow the characters story.

Storm Front was written very well, however the main romance was a bit disappointing. I liked the characters, just the romance was not my cup of tea and I can't even explain why, exactly.

I enjoyed the storm chasing aspect, even though it was kind of freaky. I liked how previous MC from the series were in this book and it was nice to see what was going on in their lives.

All in all, I liked Storm Front, but it was my least favorite of the series so far.

This is such an incredible book and series! I absolutely love this author and her writing style and all the plots and characters she comes up with for her stories.

“Storm Front” is book 5 of the Montana Rescue series. I have read all of the books and in order, but they can be read as stand alone books. I prefer to read them in order for character and relationship development.

This was a great, fast pace story with lots of drama and some romance. Warning: once you pick this book up, you won’t be able to stop so be prepared to read this all in one sitting. 😉 I can’t wait to read more books in this series. The Peak Rescue Team is a great team of friends and family who are loyal and have a strong connection to each other and to helping others around them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Susan May Warren always has a great story to tell, and this one is no different. This story weaves together intense situations with a love that is struggling to find it's home. I liked how the author continually brings in the character's faith in God. Just like these characters, we also struggle with trust in our Creator when life doesn't go as planned. We struggle with the pain of loosing those close to us in death or facing uncertain health problems. I appreciate that the author brings this topic into the story with Brette and then walks the reader through Brette's process as she deals with so much grief and pain. If you're looking for a great series to dive into, pick up the Montana Rescue series!
Make sure to watch for the 6th and final book of the series, Wait for Me releasing November 6, 2018.

Author Susan May Warren does it again. I'm loving this series, Montana Rescue Series. Storm Front takes us on some harrowing rescue scenes that will keep you turning the pages as fast as you can read! Could this be the book that missing niece of Ian Shaw comes home when they find clues? Will storms be just the weather?

I highly recommend this book and the series. You can't help be drawn into the characters lives and want to keep reading. Another great book by Susan May Warren.

Storm Front, the latest tale in Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue series, tells you more about the life of Ty Remington, the man who cannot seem to find his place in this world. Ty was formerly the Peak Rescue team pilot; however, after a grave mistake on the job, he now fills whatever job needs to be tackled by the team. When the team learns that Chet, their team leader, is missing following a massive tornado in Minnesota, they immediately jump into action and head toward the scene!

Brette Arnold originally met Ty and several others on the Peak team, when she came to Montana to ski with her friend Ella Blair. Now, she has moved on from working as a freelance writer to taking photographs of tornadoes, as a part of a storm chasing team. This latest tornado has touched the life of her team captain, Jonas Marshall, as well. His younger brother, Creed, is missing!

This is a fast paced tale, as these two teams join together to search for people lost in the storm. In the midst of it all, Ty and Brette must deal with hurt feelings from their past, when Brette ran away from Ty, after she was informed of her diagnosis of breast cancer!

Hang on to see how God changes the lives of both Ty and Brette, by the end of this tale. It is interesting to see how God shows up in the lives of so many characters in this story. You will see several team members from previous books in the Montana Rescue series: Ben King, Gage Watson, Ian Shaw and Pete Brooks. You will even get a glimpse of the next book in this series!

In Storm Front, you meet Ty Remington and Brette Arnold. From the opening scene you are catapulted into the world of storm chasers as Brette and Jonas chase one down. Brette taking pictures at the risk of her life almost gets killed right off the bat; however, you soon find out why she doesn't care. She has survived the ravages of breast cancer--a double mastectomy, and chemo. She's afraid the cancer will come back as her mother's did, so she ran from Ty who wanted a relationship because she didn't want to hurt him and drag him through her suffering and because he always wants to rescue her.

Ty works for the Peak rescue team. When a tornado hits close to home, among the missing is his mentor and friend Chet. Ty is a helicopter pilot but one who doesn't want to fly anymore. He has his own issues but he's still part of the Peak Team and he pushes them to follow his hunches which often are right.

Circumstances bring Brette and her team home to Minnesota and sparks fly because Ty still wants to rescue her and she doesn't feel she can trust anyone not even God. But trusting and loving Ty may be the medicine she needs.

The novel is chock full of angst, romance, rescues, and a great cast of supporting characters. I give it 5 stars and recommend it for your keeper shelf. Thanks to Revell for allowing me to read Storm Front through Netgalley.

Oh my goodness I'm still recovering from reading this fantastic book. Such a great cast of characters and full on heart stopping action. Just as I thought the story was wrapping up, another twist came along and from halfway through I had to sneak away to keep turning the pages.

Adding to the amazing drama - the romance threads were wonderful. I hurt when they felt the pain of longing and teared up when hearts were healed and together.

I can't wait til the next book in the series.
