Wow! If I had to choose only one author to read for the rest of my life it would be Susan May Warren. Before I turn the first page, I am already dreading when get to the last page and the book is over. And yet, I am already anxiously awaiting the release of the next book in the series. Her characters seem so real that I want to travel to see if there really is a PEAK Rescue team hidden somewhere in Montana. I have been blessed to read all the books so far in the Montana Rescue series, and have loved every single novel. I’ve also loved every page I’ve read, even if that page makes me want to cry every now and then. Storm Front focus’ on Ty and Brette. Ty has been through some things, and his humbleness makes me love him all the more. I love his passion when he truly believes in something, and no one better stand in his way. Brette is scared to depend on anyone, including Ty who is the most dependable guy she’s ever met. Both want to help those around them, but will the storms be too much for anyone to handle? I would recommend this book to everyone. There is the perfect amount of romance, suspense, and intrigue. I received a copy of this book from Revell Publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I loved this next installation in the Montana Rescue series from Susan May Warren. I enjoy digging deep into the stories of all the key characters and catching up on the old. Susan keeps you entertained with lots of action and the relationships help your heart to calm a bit so you can catch your breath between suspenseful settings. I've been waiting for Ty Remington's story and I'm happy for his happy ending. If you like clean Christian suspense you will enjoy this title. But be sure and read the ones before or you may be a little lost.

Absolutely amazing!! I thought Gage and Ella's story was edge of the seat excitement......I kept waiting for another tornado to bear down on Ty and Brette. Susan May Warren makes you feel like you are standing next to the characters as they are facing down tornadoes headed their way, trying to rescue friends and family from the aftermath, and dealing with their personal "Storm Fronts". Along the way you get reunited with other favorite characters from her books. Definitely a 5 star rating.

When they get news that team leader Chet King is missing after a tornado in Minnesota, former helicopter pilot Ty Remington and the rest of the PEAK team race to help with the search and rescue operation. What Tye doesn’t expect in Minnesota was Brette Arnold—the girl he once loved and hasn’t been able to forget for the last year. After surviving a year of chemotherapy for breast cancer, Brette joins a team of storm chasers, and lands directly in Ty’s path. Brette acknowledges she has feelings for Tye, but decides that he deserves to love a woman who hasn’t been ravaged by cancer, and may not live a full life. Will Tye be able to let go of his past mistakes and learn to trust himself again? Will Tye’s dedication to the rescue effort and to Brette’s best interest finally convince her to let someone else into her life?

Susan May Warren continues her riveting Montana Rescue series in Storm Front. While I had an easier time following the multitude of storylines in this installment because I skimmed the previous stories prior to opening Storm Front, I still struggled a bit. With so many characters with so many backstories, keeping track of every one of them can be mentally exhausting. That said, I have loved each of those characters and stories! Warren is an excellent story-teller, and—like her other works—Storm Front is full of drama, intrigue, and adventure. Having introduced both Brette and Ty previously, Warren wisely takes her time with subtle characterization and has no need beat the reader over the head. Again, both characters were well-developed, sympathetic, and believable. I’ve truly enjoyed the Montana Rescue series, but I’m ready to resolve the overarching mysteries and let the entire cast of characters enjoy a happy ending.

I received a free copy from the publisher. No review, positive or otherwise, was required—all opinions are my own.

I am so obsessed with this series (and the previous series) by Susan May Warren. I watch and wait to see when the next book is coming out and then stalk NetGalley waiting, hoping to see a review copy become available. Honestly, I am a stalker of this series. Why? I love the characters, who cross over throughout the books. They become so familiar to me and that sense of family and belonging shines through. I also love the sense of adventure and danger that is in full force. It pushes these stories forward and I become so wrapped up in what is happening I don't want to put the book down! What more could you ask for in a book?

Ty is one of my favorite characters, I think. I loved his deep down desire to help people, to fix things, to save lives. He is a follow his gut kind of guy and I loved how hard he fought for what he believed was right.

Brette has been through so much. So many hard things and she has tackled them all on her own. Her fierce independence protects her to some degree, but it drove me mad. I wanted to shake some sense into her! Ty was so utterly good to her. He's the hero of this book, no doubt about it.

Yeah, I loved this one. I can't wait for what is coming next! (I'm back to stalking mode- ha!) This is the fifth book in this series and I would recommend reading them in order just because you will love them more if you do.

Content: peril, kissing, some Christian elements

Susan May Warren has done it again! Readers are thrust into the danger and action right along with the PEAK Rescue Team.

This time, a tornado draws the team together in a search for one of their own in a small Minnesota town. But the storm isn’t the only wreckage the team is dealing with. Ben King and Kacey Fairing are facing some turbulence of their own. And Ty Remington isn’t expecting to cross paths with the woman who walked, no ran, away from him more than a year ago.

Throughout the Montana Rescue series, Ty has been a stable and commanding presence but it’s been obvious the man is also haunted. Discovering the rest of his story reveals the depth of Ty’s pain while Brette’s more recent struggles (and Ty’s reactions to them) enforced my initial impressions of the Ty—a good man with wounds that hold him captive.

Warren’s ability to weave drama and danger with romance while expressing the individuality of these team members is top-notch as always, keeping readers involved and invested in the story.

With an ending that will leave you chomping for the next book (everyone raise your hand if you’ve been rooting for Pete and Jess to finally get it together), Storm Front delivers every single thing we expect from a Susan May Warren read. Adventure, romance, and danger. But most of all, a sense of family and the foundation of faith.

Storm Front – Susan May Warren

This is book five in the Montana Rescue series and I couldn’t have been more excited to read this book. I love all of Susan’s books and count down the days until a new one comes out.

This story follows Ty Remington and Brette Arnold. Brette is a blogger who has been chasing tornados for a summer in the Midwest when a tornado ravages a town and some kids go missing, along with Chet King who was Ty’s mentor. PEAK rescue heads in to help with the searching and that puts Ty and Brette back together. Brette didn’t want to fall for him and pushed him away a year ago but she needs him more than she thinks she does. Ty needs to come to grip with some demons in his past and needs to show Brette she can trust him.

I love this series (well all series by Warren) but I just love the style she writes. The multiple characters that are all intertwined in the whole storyline but each book focuses on a particular set of them. There is one more book to this series that comes out later this year and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

The PEAK Rescue team adventures continue in book 5 of the Montana Rescue series! In Storm Front, you will experience chasing and outrunning tornadoes! Chet, leader of PEAK, is missing after a tornado hits a small town in Minnesota! Naturally, the team shows up to search for him as well as the missing track team! Brette from earlier books is now a blogger and photographer for Vortex Storm Chasers. Handsome, dependable Ty Remington who Brette ran from loving in the past is part of the PEAK team. All of the characters are well-written. I expect nothing less from Susan May Warren’s books! Storm Front is a story of hope. Where would any of us be without hope during the storms of life? All of the books in Montana Rescue have been exciting but, being from the midwest, I could relate more to Storm Front! Storm Front can be read as a stand alone book but you will enjoy it more if you read the series. I received my e-book copy of Storm Front through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

Storm Front by Susan May Warren exceeded my expectations. Ty takes center stage in Storm Front. I had forgotten about Brette from one of the previous books; but Ty had not. He has still been pining for her and even felt a need to pray for her since she ran away from the hospital and from him.

Ty and Brette both have stories that were touching and heartbreaking. The author’s descriptions were so rich that you felt the nausea with her. Brette is traveling with a gang of storm chasers taking pictures. It was enjoyable to watch Ty convince Brette that he wanted to be a part of her life.

In Storm Front, the team races to a town that was ravaged by a Tornado when they find out that Chet is missing along with several high schoolers. Living in the Midwest you could understand the anguish of the aftermath.

There was a secondary story with another couple that totally took me by surprise. I would gladly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story and a delightful budding romance.

This is another exciting romance--just what I've come to expect from Susan May Warren.
I love her series--you can get to know the characters in one book, and then they keep showing up in the next one, and so on.
This book focuses on the romance between Ty and Brette.
It allows us a peek at some of their inner turmoils, and what God has brought them through to bring them closer, to Him and each other.
Action packed, heart tugging, sweet, and so much more!

This has been one of my favorite series recently, and this new book, Storm Front, did not disappoint. I have been waiting to learn more about Tye and now we do. Once I got into this book, i just could not put it down. I read almost all of it at once.

The feelings that Ty has about himself are so realistic after what he has been though. He has such a genuine desire to help others, it’s a part of who he is. But he also is feeling like he does not belong and is not a critical part of the PEAK team. The journey that dealing with these emotions takes him through is inspiring.

Brette is hurting, physically and emotionally and is need of help. Like so many people, she does not want to accept help from anyone and has a difficult time being vulnerable enough to accept help - especially from Ty. I enjoyed seeing how Brette and Ty helped each other deal with the issues in their lives together and how their faith was an important part of this process.

I loved catching up with Ben & Kacey - their story is from the first book of this series, Wild Montana Skies. Where they were at in life and their relationship felt very realistic. It’s always nice to re-visit characters from previous books, but it’s so much more realistic when things are not always perfect. I love how this showed their struggles as we catch back up with them.

The cliff-hanger ending to this book left so me with so much emotion, I was left feeling impatient waiting for the next book.

I absolutely recommend this book and the entire series - read it in order - this is a fabulous series. The characters are expertly written and developed and you feel like they are your friends and when you open the book, you step right into their lives.

This is book 5 in a series, so as I had not read any of the previous books, it took me a bit to catch up with all the characters. But, this is a great book without the previous four. So, if you, like me, haven't read the previous ones, don't let it stop you from picking this one up.
Brette is a storm chaser, having previously beat cancer complete with surgery and treatments. She is still recovering and worried that it will come back. She is a photographer, hoping she'll take a picture that will sell to a big magazine. She had fears of becoming dependent on anyone and suddenly disappeared from Ty, whom although she hadn't known long, had feelings for him. As luck would have it, a storm lead Brette and the team to where Ty was.
When Ty saw Brette, he knew something was terribly wrong. She was very thin and had very short hair and looked sickly.
The ending of this one was a huge disappointment as it leaves the reader hanging. I really really don't like stories that end this way. Just let it be over, is my preference.

What could be more fun? Mention of Montana? Echo Lake Cafe? Or following storm chasers in the book. Susan May Warren sure had my heart pounding a few times in this book, from feeling the bookshelves crashing in on them with flying glass and other heart pounding events.

I think my favorite part of this book was the non-typical romantic storyline. Yeah, sure, it was boy loves girl. Girl loves boy. But there are complications. That was typical. But I loved how the author took a story and put in the complications of real life pain into this book from cancer, abandonment, grief, PTSD, and other issues that the real living heroes of our everyday life face. You could totally relate to them as they faced their human weakness, and saved lives or tramped after tornados in Minnesota.

I obtained this book through NetGalley and from the publisher. The opinions contained herein are my own.
I would recommend you read the others in the series before reading this one, if you like to read things in a row.

The name says it all, Storm Front by Susan May Warren is a story of how to survive the storms of life. The obvious is the storms that come from nature but the deeper ones here are the storms within one’s personal life.

Book five of the Montana Rescue series is so well written that it is able to be read quite well without having to have read the previous books. The background of the supporting characters is given when needed but the focus is on Ty Remington and the returning Brett Arnold. There are also several subplots tied to the town. However, in each case God’s faithfulness is evident even when He does not automatically calm each one . Spiritual lesson to be learned.

One of the most exciting books of the series, so fans of contemporary Christian fiction will love Storm Front, this latest addition to the Montana Rescue series.

Wow! Great new book in Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue series. Storm Front focuses primarily on Ty & Brett, filling in details from earlier books and giving updates on Ty along with the rest of the PEAK rescue crew. Danger, romance, faith, fun, family....all major aspects of this fantastic book. As always, the author leaves you waiting impatiently for the next book in the series to find out what happens next in the lives of the characters!

I loved this book, but I will tell you, if you like everything tied up neat & tidy at the end - this ain't it! She left us hanging. or being pushed - LOL. This is a wonderful book. Ty is fighting his demons as Brette fights hers and for her life. There are a lot of people in this story line. I always enjoy keeping up with people from previous books. As always, there is a Christian aspect which I personally love. Susie May does a great job of her faith showing thru in her books without being preachy. As a Christian, I really enjoy that.

-‘“People need to see what a fighter you are. It’s a great metaphor—you faced your own storm and won.”’-
-‘“Listen, there’s nothing heroic about what I do. I chase storms because a group of weather zealots pays me to take pictures and blog about our adventures. It pays the bills. And if I get really lucky, I might plant myself in the path of an F-5 and land a photo in Nat Geo.” His eyes widened, as if visualizing that moment. “I have a lot of bills to pay. I don’t have insurance, I don’t have a home, I don’t even own a car. I have this gig, a backpack, and today. And that’s all I need. All I can expect.”’-
-‘“This is who I am. If you need a metaphor, here I am, the debris after a storm.” She reached for the door, turned back. “There’s no fixing this mess, no starting over, and no reconstruction that will give me back what I lost. It’s just this wreckage of my life.” She paused. “And don’t bother calling if the cancer is back. I’m just . . . I’m done, Doc. I mean it. I don’t have any more fight in me. Thanks for everything.”’-

So well written. Descriptive enough to visualize every scene, yet not too much that I needed to skip any parts. Good enough to be made into a tv show or a movie.

This book is part of a series and if the reader isn’t familiar with the previous books they will definitely be at a disadvantage as there are a lot of characters and interlocking relationships, making it very difficult to keep up. Those who have kept up with the series will definitely enjoy the continued storyline and the development of the characters’ stories and relationships.

Lots of metaphors in this book of various types of storms. Some are literal, such as the huge tornado that sweeps through and devastates lives and buildings along its path. Others are figurative, such as the storms in relationships, in life, or the physical storms of dealing with the ravages of Cancer.

I thought this story was excellent and I highly recommend it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Exciting and fast-paced, Storm Front drew me in with Ty and Brette’s rekindled romance and the search-and-rescue angle. And Ty, Ty, Ty. His heart for the lost, his dark good looks, his commitment to PEAK and to Brette, his famous gut hunches. [Sorry, I’m just gonna pause for a moment and fan myself. Whooo-eee! Okay, I’m back.]

I just wanted more of Brette and Ty; their wounded souls‘ chemistry was realistic and swoon-worthy. And what will happen next with Shae/Esme, and with Jess and Pete?? I need to know, people. I need to know.

Ms Warren is quickly moving up on my favorite authors list. Her mix of adventure, suspense, romance and multi-character development is fantastic! I love how each book builds from the previous one but written in such a way that it can still be a stand alone (although reading the previous books builds your love for the characters much more!)
