Wow, what a book. Incredibly written. I’ve read this on less than 24 hours. Once you start you cannot put it down.

So well written, you feel all the emotion and turmoil Harriet goes through. And how much a true friend can support.

Truly heart wrenching, but also a story of love and loss. Covering a topic of mental abuse that is so very well written.

Exceptional book, fast paced and gripping.

I started this book full of hope of it being a new and exciting psychological thriller. There seems to have been a plethora of simple books over recent years which all arrived on the scene after the originals. All now seem to have a female main character who is rather less than strong emotional, has difficultites with her past, can't stand up for herself, allows herself to be controlled by a baddy, is generally weak physically and emotionally at crucial times in the book, does silly things due to these weaknesses and then panics when everything goes wrong, the list is endless. Nowadays this female stereotype appears to be common amongst numerous psychological thrillers, I've read so many with this same formula and been disappointed. . I started to read this book, hoping this didn't fit the same template until I got to the part where we hear that Harriet had not visited or seen a photo of her new house before moving in, which seems totally unrealistic in today's internet lifestyle, so sadly Harriet at this point started to become this same stereotype female as well, at which point I stopped reading. Having said all that, I will give it another go and hope that I am truly proved wrong and it turns out to be a fantastic read, that would be terrific..

Now You See Her was such an intense chilling read that kept me gripped throughout

A little girl goes missing during a school fete, but who has taken her? Who is telling the truth?

A really enjoyable read, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

4.5 star read - This story is narrated in current time from the points of view of Harriet and her best friend Charlotte, and by Harriet's flashbacks and diary entries, yet for the most is a fast-paced domestic noir novel with excellent characterisation that deals with the greatest moral dilemma a parent may face and ends on the right note.

I read this thriller almost entirely in one sitting! Stomach-churning and incredibly fast-paced. I couldn't bring myself to put it down.

Charlotte is looking after her best friend’s daughter the day she disappears. She thought the little girl was playing with her own children. She swears she only took her eyes off them for a second.
Now, Charlotte must do the unthinkable, tell her best friend Harriet that her only child is missing. The child she was meant to be watching.

This book is intense, you know that Harriet's child is going to go missing but when it actually happens in the book you feel physically sick. The characterisation is excellent and as you delve deeper and deeper in the minds and hearts of the characters surrounding this case there are as many twists and turns as you expect.

I would recommend this is any thriller fan.

Absolutely brilliant. Couldn't put this book down. Right from the very start you are gripped by events and the horror that a child has gone missing. As the story unfolds you realise that everything is not what it seems. Some clever twists and very chilling moments. This book was an excellent read. Now going to read her other books! Highly recommend

If you enjoy a book full of secrets and lies then this is the one for you.

Charlotte persuades her friend Harriet that her four yr old daughter Alice would be safe with her and her own children at the fete, but she took her eyes of them for a few minutes, only to look up and find she's missing. The police take both Charlotte and Alice's parents in for questioning. What was Charlotte doing? Where were the parents at the time of Alice's disappearance? As the story unfolds the lies and secrets start coming through. Despite an intensive search Alice appears to have vanished in to thin air. Can the police find her and those responsible?
I loved the twists in this thriller and found myself getting annoyed with one of the characters, but that made it all the more enjoyable.
I received this book via NetGalley and have no hesitation in recommending it. It gets a full five stars from me. This is my honest and unbiased review

I read this book in one tension filled evening. I was absolutely gripped by the sympathetic well drawn characters and couldn't go to bed until I knew how it ended.

A fast paced and very intriguing thriller about a missing child and the rift it creates between two close friends.

This is one of those bang through books you can't put down where everyone is hiding something, Heidi Perks writes with an instinctive knowledge of how to keep the reader enthralled and dissects her characters along the way until you see them clearly.

The resolution may be unexpected (although I've seen it before I've not seen it done in perhaps quite such a compelling way so I caught it) but whether it is or not the whole story is fascinatingly dark with the twists and turns coming in perfect harmony with the rest.

I liked how it played out between past and present, and the sacrificial nature of the friendship between the two women - overall a very good bit of storytelling.

Recommended. Review to be updated onto the website nearer publication.

This absolutely brilliant thriller is the story of the unlikely friendship between two women. There's Charlotte, divorced mother of three children, lovely house,no money worries, popular and friends with many of the mother's who meet up everyday to have a good gossip in the school playground. Then there's Harriet, married to Brian, mother of four year old Alice, lives in a drab, depressing little house, has no friends and always seems nervous and on edge.Against the odds and to the utter astonishment of Charlotte`s other friends,Charlotte and Harriet strike up a close friendship, sharing secrets about their past and present lives. Then one hot summer's day,Charlotte takes her children and Alice to the school fete where the unthinkable happens, Charlotte gets distracted by her phone, she loses sight of the children and Alice vanishes, without a trace.During the ensuing police investigation it soon becomes clear that all is not what it seems. Both the women have secrets and will go to any lengths to keep them from being uncovered.

The chapters alternate between Chalotte and Harriet and flip back and forth between before and after Alice's disappearance, also included are extracts from Harriet`s diary. My feelings for either woman flipped back and forth between sympathy and feeling unsympathetic for various reasons as the story unfolded. There was another character who featured quite regularly who was a really nasty, evil, creepy individual.Everytime this character was in a scene,I had goosebumps on my arms and chills ran up and down my spine. The descriptions of the actions and behaviour of the characters where realistic as where the depictions of the treatment of Charlotte and Harriet by the media and people on the internet.

This is a well written,at times very intense, chilling tale of friendships, deceit, manipulation and secrets that had me hooked in from the very first page.I absolutely loved this riveting thriller and would definitely give it more than five stars if I could.I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.
