What a suspenseful, thought provoking novel, I did not want to put it down. The character are well written and very intriguing. The fast moving plot is so suspenseful and keeps you the turning pages. The main character is very damaged, but she tries so hard to do what is right for the woman she is looking for. Even though the ending of the book answered all the questions, I was still sad that it ended. I will be going back to read the first book.

Outstanding book! My first by this Author. I did not know it is the sequel to Still Mine. I very much enjoyed Clare's story and how she becomes involved with Malcolm to find a missing woman and her child. Many twists and turns and secrets galore in this book. Brilliant writing. I loved the characters and especially the ending. I hope we will soon read more by this Author. Thanks to NetGalley, Simon & Schustet Canads and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

Reviews for the author's first book gave the impression of a fast pace page turner. This book did not live up to that description. I found it to be more of a study of the progress of a women who had escaped from an abusive marriage, her progress in dealing with her personal demons, who also found her metier in working as a detective. Not my cup of tea, to be honest I found it slow going and wouldn't have finished it if not for my desire to leave an honest review.
