I had a lot of fun with Blogger Girl but somehow missed Novelista Girl. I was really looking forward to reading Bridal Girl because I liked Blogger Girl a lot.
I'm a little bit disappointed.
Bridal Girl revolves mainly around, as the title suggests, Kim and Nicholas' wedding. And what a terrible fuss people are making about a wedding, I couldn't believe my eyes. Seven months to shop for a dress, that needs alterations? Why just not buy a dress that fits? Three months to order flowers? A year to find a caterer? Feeling guilty because Kim's parents spend their 'pension money' and there is still not enough to finance the wedding? Six months to decide what cake needs to be served and crying because there are no flowers on the table but lovely candle arrangements?
I'm sorry, but I cannot relate to this part of the story at all. It is all so very, very over the top. I cannot believe real people behave like that.
Who is also not real anymore is Nicholas. He is handsome and successfull and very supportive of Kim. And that is all he is in this story. He is incredible patient with Kim, who behaves very irrational sometimes, but there is no depth to him.

What I liked about the book: I like Meredith Schorr's style of writing a lot. Sometimes it makes me think of Wendy Holden, who is my absolute favorite author for this genre. So, I liked the parts that were not 'sickly sweet' (as one of the reviews for Kim's book states). All this crying and drinking with a bunch of girls, it got on my nerves sometimes. I liked the parts where things went wrong and people got fighting a lot better ;-)

I will keep following this author but I sincerely hope the next book in the series is not called 'Baby girl'...

Thanks to NetGalley for this book.

This is the third installment of the Blogger Girl Series. It is hysterically funny! Kim is trying to write her 2nd book and she is trying to plan her wedding to Nicholas. As Kim deals with her family and Nicholas's past secrets, will everything go as planned for the wedding? It was a funny, laugh out loud book and great for anyone wanting a great book to read! I received an advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Henery Press. All opinions are my own.

I'll start by saying I am a HUGE Meredith Schorr fan. I will read everything she writes, everything. Why?? Here's why...
Meredith has chick-lit mastered - and Bridal Girl is yet another example of just how. Bridal Girl is the third installment of the Blogger Girl series, and this takes off just where Novelista Girl leaves off. Kimmie and Nicholas are just months away from their wedding, and the story takes us through the highs and lows of Kim trying to write her second novel, work full time, and plan a wedding all at the same time. That's a lot for anyone, let alone stressed out Kimmie.
Meredith writes with such wit and humor, you will find yourself laughing out loud and cheering for Kim to succeed. Bridal Girl brings all the regulars back - besties Bridget and Caroline, their significant others, and we get even more banter out of Nicholas' and Kim's sisters.
Best of all, Bridal Girl will not only leave you happy, but leave you wanting more of Nicholas and Kim's love story.... so much more!!
