It a beautiful friends to lovers story. I enjoyed how well written the story was and the characters were developed. Walker and Clara were best friends , the bond and chemistry between them was brilliant. Definitely worth reading this story. A very cute and engaging read. Thank you Entangled Publishing & NetGallery for providing me the ARC.

I almost didn't read this book based on the title. Billionaire stories have not piqued my interest, but the blurb was interesting so I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did!

Walker and Clara have been best friends for 10 years and so she is the first person he calls when a baby shows up on his doorstep. He convinces her to stay and help him learn to take care of his infant son, and it isn't long before both take up residence in Clara's heart.

The friendship between Walker and Clara is my favorite part of the book. Despite the differences between them they care deeply for each other. They have both put any attraction for each other aside because their friendship is the most important thing in each of their lives.

The plot was well paced and the characters were realistic and well written. I am definitely looking forward to trying other books by Victoria Davies!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Walker and Clara have been friends for about 10 years. They deeply love each other, but have never risked their friendship to go any further. So, they kept it locked up. I liked that the story dived right in at the beginning. It hooked me from the first few pages.

A baby is dropped off on Walker's doorstep with a note saying it was his baby. He is set in panic mode and needs his best friend, Clara. They tackle baby duties together, learn as they go. Clara knows what to do with a baby, its part of her past that she never has revealed to Walker. Walker and her agree to 3 weeks of Clara moving in and living with them. They've kept their childhood from each other. But they get closer, they have a lot of chemistry. They give in and they both know they don't want to go through life without each other. I won't spoil too much, but baby mamma comes back. She creates drama. The story is really sweet of how they've come to keep each other in their lives, because deep down they knew they loved each other. I enjoyed it very much. I would recommend to anyone.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is an enjoyable book that is a fresh take on the classic friends to lovers romance. I loved Clara, who always tries to do the right thing, while Walker is the gentle genius who doesn't know how to relate to anyone other than Clara. Their relationship is so important to him that he decided to maintain their friendship rather than take a chance on loving her.....all this without consulting Clara for her opinion.

When Walker's life implodes when a former lover leaves their baby on his doorstep, Clara rushes into help him. Before long they're playing house and neither is sure where the boundaries are.

Fans of the genre will enjoy this novel and want to put it on their TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Nerdy, hunky billionaire? Check. Surprise baby? Check. Best friends-to-lovers? Check. This romance checks off a lot of plotlines I enjoy in romances. I like that Walker and Clara have been best friends for a decade and truly understand each other except for the fact that each has been attracted to the other. But when a baby shows up at Walker’s doorstep, he begs his best friend to come and help him learn how to take care of his baby. She does and romance ensues.

Besides the plot set-up that I like, I also enjoyed that most of the story is told through dialogue. Too often authors tell us that a couple is close or had a good time, but they don’t have the talent to write believable, but interesting dialogue to demonstrate what was really happening between them.

I would have liked a bit more about Clara’s life. We’re told that she’s a hard-nosed investigative reporter, but we’re never given a glimpse at what she does or has done. She writes one story over two weeks and takes time off for most of the book. It helps that her best friend is her boss and doesn’t seem to care that Clara isn’t doing her job. Instead, she spends conversations hoping to get sexual details about Clara and Walker or giving very good advice to both of them to get over themselves and realize that they are actually in love with each other.

I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

He calls her to talk about computers? Boring.

This is a super codependent relationship. They're practically married.

He has valet parking? Nice.

They are both cynical in different ways.

Andrew is a twat.

Hoochie mama, do you really think he's gonna leave a woman he's been in love with for ten years just because you pushed a baby out of you? Get real.

I liked the epilogue.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Just wow!! What a crazy story!!?? Very unbelievable but I still liked the characters. Walker and Clara and Veronuca was a great villianess!! Cute and funny and a very fast read.
Crazy things....
. He sleeps with so many woman he can't figure out who the mom could be?? What kind of security does he have? It is not ok to just dump your child and then come back in 2 weeks and think you will be forgiven. Plus you leave no note?? How do u get out of hospital without naming baby??

But who cares it was still a warm fuzzy story that will make you smile and wish you were Clara. I rate it a 3.5

The very best story of best friends turned lover turned something more. Plus we're given someone to despise. The woman that could just leave their baby on someones doorstep and walk away. Walker is so lucky to have Clara. in his life.
