Parker is a millionaire playboy, used to one night stands etc. Layla is a struggling college student that works as a barista in a local coffee shop Parker frequents. When he goes into the coffee shop though, he rarely acknowledges her though because he knows he doesn't need distractions in his life.

He gets a call that his mother is in the hospital, he rushes to see her, gets distracted and hits Layla with his car. He feels horrible about it and pretty much bullies her (as she calls him) into staying at his house so he could look after her. She has a concussion, scrapes, minor injuries. She stays. They spend a lot of time together. He starts to have lots of feelings for her but knows he can't get involved.

This story was actually cute. I thoroughly enjoyed it very much. In the beginning, I thought how much of an A**hole Parker was but her really redeemed himself. You could feel the sexual tension in the air. The writing was great. I would recommend this book to others!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You can always be sure that Cathryn Fox will take a story and give you exactly what you want! This is one that was a joy to read! It was sexy, real, adorable, engaging, sweet..... I could go on and on! I loved how simple and easy the story flowed. Maybe that's because it was so well written?? In any case, it was an alluring read!

Parker Braxton, billionaire, literally drives into Layla Fallon, student and barista, taking her down. Parker wants to help her-and she refuses-multiple times. But Parker is insistent-it's the right thing to do. He didn't get to be where he was by not getting his way. So he doesn't give Layla any choice.

Layla is drowning in student debt. And now that she has to be off work, she's upset. She's not afraid of working hard. Not having anyone else to help, she's only ever been able to rely on herself. Should she let Parker help her?? It doesn't hurt that he's the hottest and surprisingly kind guys she's met!
But she can't take advantage can she?? Parker sees she won't take his charity, so he starts bargaining for her services. He will pay her overdue rent and she cooks him meals for a week. And other bargains like that. Layla feels she's paying off the debt, and Parker doesn't get to see her leave him anytime soon!

I loved the way this story unfolded! It had a nice flow. There wasn't any huge angst, side plot, or outside influence which was totally refreshing! So many times there is some needless side story thrown in that does nothing for the main story. I enjoyed this centering on these two alone and only these two. I felt more endeared to them and vested in their future! Their love unfolding was beautiful to watch happen!

The plot is a little far fetched (Parker hits Layla with his car but the police never gets involved?) and Parker is a bit too much at times but overall this was a fun book to read. It was light and the chemistry between Parker and Layla was believable.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Somehow the gorgeous rich guy hits you with his car. Really?? It's a bit of an odd premise but sort of predictable. I did love the million $ bet with his friends. It was still a fun easy read. 3 stars

There isn’t much surprising in the storyline, but if you like romances about a hot billionaire guy falling for a poor, plucky heroine, then you’ll enjoy this book. It starts when Parker Braxton hits Layla Fallon with his car when he goes to read a text about his mother in the hospital. She has a concussion and he gets all arrogantly protective of her by basically kidnapping her to take her back to his penthouse so he can take care of her. If he weren’t the hero of a romance novel, this would be sort of creepy behavior. But he is the hero of a romance novel and she’s plucky and independent and determined to succeed on her own so we can forgive him and just sit back and enjoy the romance.

I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Parker is a man who doesn't take no for an answer, “take my hand, or I’m going to carry you.” I don't think Parker is used to people like Layla, you know a person with manners, "...he came around to her side of the counter and looked at her plate. Dark brows pulled together. “You waited for me?” Layla could be just so cute, “I have sexy underwear,” she blurted out. “I wanted to wear it for you.” I really liked this book, I fell in love with Parker and his bossiness.

I enjoyed the sweet romance between Parker and Layla. I liked how Parker took care of Layla and never pawned her off on his employees, which is something he could have done seeing as he is wealthy. Layla seemed a little too sweet to be true, but I also liked her character overall. Although this is a sweet read, there is some steamy scenes between our H and h, so this is not a clean read, which I don't mind, so some readers may. Overall, this was a read that I enjoyed and would recommend.

Parker Braxton is a confirmed bachelor. So confirmed he made a pact with his best friends that would cost him quite a bit he if he ever got married. With stakes so high, it's gonna take a really special person to breakdown those barriers of his! Cue, Layla Fallon <3 *happy sigh*

I must say, even tho the story-line was kinda predictable, it was still a lot of fun to read. Both Parker and Layla were very likeable. Nothing overly dramatic about the plot so a very good cozy afternoon read. The Penthouse Pact was sweet and endearing and full of heart! Fans of Cathryn Fox will not be disappointed with this sexy tale and if this is your first read by the author, you picked an excellent place to begin!!

This is the first book I've read by this author, and I enjoyed it a lot. The story grabbed ahold of me right away and never let go. Everyone around him thinks Parker is a total asshat, but as Layla quickly finds out, there's so much more to him. It was fun watching his walls fall away. Layla is a strong female character who works hard to achieve her goals, and I liked her a lot. The premise of this series is neat, and it promises quite a few more fun books as we watch these sexy alpha billionaires fall one by one. I don't usually go for the billionaire books, but this one sounded really cute, and I'm glad I made an exception!

Loved this book! Layla is a struggling student putting herself through school when Parker rear-ends her car. When she is injured, he literally won't take no for an answer when he insists on taking care of her. While the poor girl, rich man is a popular theme in romances, the author brought a fresh take to it that was enjoyable to read. I loved the characters and found myself rooting for them and smiling at some of their antics.

Fans of the genre will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Layla and Parker were perfect together! Both so determined to make it on their own, not repeat the mistakes of the past they'd been exposed to, while falling harder and deeper for each other

It begins with a crash, specifically, Parker crashes his car into Layla. He knows her from his favourite coffee shop, and from there on in, the two of them are together. They both try to deny the attraction brewing between them, and once they finally give in, they deny it is more than it is

Reality catches them both, and once they accept what they have, what is going on with them, it gives our sweet and sexy love story the HEA it richly deserves!

It's a good story. It's well written. The premise is unique a group of friends plan to stay single or pay each other money. It's a bit odd but it plays up the perpetual bachelor who falls for the girl.

Fox delivers romantic couples needing each other to heal their haunted past. Parker Braxton is so wrapped up in business and his personal loss that he relates only to his cell phone. Layla is a struggling student working in a coffee shop. Their lives evolve when he hits her with his car. Quick cozy read from an author with a flair to bring characters off the page and into your heart. "A copy of this book was provided by Entangled Publishing LLC via NetGalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Parker is so sure that he'll never get married that he made a pact, that he'd give each of his five college friends one million dollars if he did wed. Wow, now there is a statement. Layla is a very special woman, and makes Parker a better man. It was fun reading this novel.
