I’m cleaning up my bookshelf and trying to give reviews for past books I’ve read. I know I read this when it came out - I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads back in 2011, so it must have been good! Thanks for the advanced reader copy!

I liked this one. It has an intriguing premise, it's set in Victorian London (which I love!), and it's overall very well-written. I would like to have seen a bit more of the supernatural elements as well as character development, however, and for some reason I was never really as drawn in by the romance or the sex as many of my fellow readers have been. Still, I *loved* the part when we finally find out the fascinating thing under Lord Archer's mask--if the story had concentrated more on that, which had so much potential, I would have been much more engaged. I'll be reading the next one to see what happens...fingers crossed for the paranormal stuff to take center stage!

WOW! This book was so unique and beautiful. The characters were phenomenal and I loved the writing style. The pacing and the prose of this author is wonderful, I cannot believe this was her first book. Wow, I can't find the words to describe how perfect this book was. The characters were so real. Archer and Miranda were what a couple should be. Great read if you're in need of a Fantasy Historical Romance!
