As I've learned to expect, a beautifully written and fun read. Fossen writes wonderfully believable stories with flawed but truly good heroes and heroines

The suspense! I had a really hard time putting this one down. I have read 1 other book in this series which was the first one (Always a Lawman). I wish I had read the middle 2, but really this one caught me up quickly on what happened with the sisters. I didn't realize this was book 4 when I started it but oh well. It all worked out! Loved the ending, I can't say anything without giving something away, so just read it! :-)

An energetic, action-filled, intense thrill-ride that keeps the readers on the edge through the tale.
Roughshod Justice finales the series and does it well. All the loose ends are tightly wrapped up, the questions are answered, and the murder mystery that has puzzled and sorrowed the minds of many is finally solved.
The action, battle against the bad guys, and the struggle to find answers, to keep the good guys alive, and all the babies accounted for, is a non-stop roll-a-coaster ride where you better hold on to your hat.
The romance between Texas Ranger Jameson Beckett and Kelly Stockwell started two years ago with a fiery attraction but ended up with heartache and betrayal and unanswered questions. Now the two lovers face each other again, and passion, the attraction is burning hotter than ever, yet they have few surprises, unexpected twists, and confessions to make and deal with.
I loved how understanding, reasonable, and forgiving Jameson was. Yes, there were hurt feelings, there were doubts, there was even anger, yet he didn't hold on to those negative feelings but seek to understand and to accept the facts and the truth that was slowly coming to the light and the secrets that were unveiled.
Kelly had made several mistakes in the past two years, but most of them not by her own choice, just reacting to the circumstances surrounding her. She is a true survivor, she is tough, she is resilient, and she has the short-cut to Jameson's heart if she wants to take it.
With a breath-taking, vigorous, sharp, and fierce action the story leads the finale to the action-filled series to an entertaining, satisfying, and fervent ending with combustible suspense and burning hot romance.
~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

Fast paced and action packed! A mystery is solved amidst mounting drama and danger! If you've been following along with the Blue River Ranch series, you'll recognize several of the key players from the underlying crime that's been carrying forward in each book. With this one, we finally get some justice and some answers to it all. The action of this particular story starts off early in the book and the intrigue carries forward throughout. I liked the characters and the premise of the plot, but did feel there were a few holes left unfilled. Overall a solid mystery and an entertaining read.
Two years ago, the woman Texas Ranger Jameson Beckett was having an affair with disappeared without a trace after betraying him. He searched for her for months, but she simply vanished into thin air and was presumed dead. Getting a call to an active crime scene in no way prepares Jameson to see Kelly again, injured, scared, not remembering even her own name ... and carrying a note demanding she kill him.
Private Investigator Kelly Stockwell can't tell Jameson why she left or where she's been because she simply doesn't remember, but news of her being found brings people scurrying to the police station from all sides with their own version of stories to tell. Kelly starts to have a small snippet of a memory here and there, but she truly has no clue to most of the things these people are saying, and when the most shocking piece of news yet comes to light, she's not sure Jameson will ever be able to forgive her for keeping their daughter from him!

You are taken straight into the centre of the action from the very start of this action packed romantic suspense. Texas Ranger Jameson Beckett has been called to the scene where two men have been shot dead and a woman injured to discover the woman is his ex-girlfriend, Kelly Stockwell, who mysteriously vanished from his life two years ago. Now she has amnesia and doesn’t even recognise him - but she does have a note instructing her to kill him or never see her sister again! As further attempts are made on her life, investigations into the past, specially the murder of his parents almost a decade ago, there are secrets to be revealed and their potential love to be rekindled in this fast paced read.
This is the culminating story from this series and an enthralling page-turner. There are so many discoveries as the story progresses, hints and clues to try to solve before the finale with its explosive revelations and dramatic conclusion. A suspense-filled crime mystery and second-chance romance, this is a great story to escape into with great characters, an intriguing plot and plenty of twists to keep the reader guessing!
I requested and received a copy of this novel via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.
