Entertaining and thrilling but don't expect literary quality. it's fun all the way. A victorian sleuthing and crime fighting romp. Part of a series.

I received this book on Netgalley from Thistle Publishing for an honest review

This book third book in the series I have read and I found it be as in intriguing as the first.

For these who haven't read any in the series, thes story are set in 1820s England and is about a man named Edmund Blackstone who becomes involved in prizefighting, blackmail and murder.

I recommend this book for those who like reading about the Victorian era and crime stories

A mostly okay read. It's an overall okay read that I didn't enjoy as much as I wanted to. I definitely wanted to like it more.

One of the best historical crime series out there starring Blackstone—18th century detective/bow runner who is hard as nails. All the books in this series(there are six) are entertaining fast pace and not bloated with boring filler. Read.

I was drawn to Blackstone's Fancy by the description -- Victorian mysteries are one of my favorite types of mysteries. The book certainly captured the time period well though I was frustrated a bit by vocabulary indicative of the underworld and boxing. The book was engaging, but I never truly connected to Blackstone, and the mystery element took longer than I like to develop. I don't think I would recommend it.

1820s England and Edmund Blackstone becomes involved in prizefighting, blackmail and murder. An enjoyable and a well-written story though prizefighting is not a subject that I care to read about.
