This was a quirky cute read. I enjoyed the author's stories and wit. Not for everyone, but what is? I relally enjoyed it and think nosy people will too!

I wasn't sure what to think of this one. It felt like a slow read to me and didn't really pick up the pace. The author had quite a keen eye for detail but I think I got lost in the little picture and couldn't see the big picture. I think it was the wrong pick for me but someone else may appreciate it a lot more. It felt well written though and I definitely wanted to finish it and review it as I got the book on NetGalley.

I chose this title in the hopes of gaining insight into the life of a contemporary Frenchman. Thomas Clerc takes us room to room in his lovely Paris apartment, describing each and every (and I mean, every) item as well as its use, provenance, and meaning to him. There was maybe a bit of oversharing and overload, and I found there were not many differences between our lives. Still, it was enjoyable, but requires almost a Proustian predilection for minutiae.
