This is the first book that I have read by Rebecca and I can guarantee it won't be the last. I really enjoyed Brecken and January's book they were great together and had fantastic banter. I loved that she would not take his rubbish and the chemistry between them was so hot. This is a really good sexy read and I really enjoyed it.

I couldn't stand either main character. The blurb says that when January meets Brecken "it's clear he's different," but he seemed like so many other men in romances. Unfortunately, this is a pass for me.

Cute but predictable story. Typical CEO who can't break his ties with his country past. He hires January to help him organize his childhood home to get ready to sell it. Of course she manages to get him to see the ranch through a fresh set of eyes. For a CEO, I will say he seems to have a TON of free time on his hands spending days at the ranch and leaving the office whenever he wants.

The story that has nothing with cowboy but is about hot successful CEO Brecken and January girl who is searching her path under the sun. They meet on her birthday and attraction is instantly, and when Brecken finds out what January does he finds a solution for his ranch and for the girl. At first January fight the attraction but in the end is too strong and they start a very passionate affair. But it seems that history is repeating and Bracken doesn't want to make the same mistake that his father did. January was interesting and well-developed likable. But Bracken is the one who surprised me I expected more from him he was strong in one the real alpha male but when it came to dealing with his past and Nadia he was weak and didn't know what to do just surrendered to the alcohol. In the end, he comes to his sense and does the right thing.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I got ARC via netgalley for honest review.
Although I love reading romance book, this contemporary romance was not really my cup of tea.It is good time pass book but I didn't enjoy reading it as I couldn't relate to hero and heroine chemistry.
Their chance meeting at bar seemed forced and non opportunity offered to heroine seemed a sleazy pick up line.
I couldn't understand heroine's job profile(???) and didn't find any significance of title as MR Cowboy when hero was a computer billionaire.

The first book I've read by Rebecca Jenshank, and I can probably say it wont be the last. I enjoyed the storyline, it wasn't centred around the sex which I find happens a lot in books like this. Brecken is a brilliantly written gorgeous man. I liked January as well, I thought she was a great woman. She's a stronger woman than I could be in her situation. A great read, a great storyline and well written

Brecken Blackstone owns a very successful software company. He has been focused on building his career and he has no close friends. Brecken had a falling out with his dad 18 years ago and never went back. His dad recently passed, leaving him the ranch he grew up on. His emotions are all tangled up and he is floundering on what to do with it. Now in his late thirties, he's wondering what's next for him.

January Lyle grew up in politics. Her dad is a Senator. She didn't like the plastic, superficial lifestyle and wanted far away from it. She struggled in college trying to figure out what she wanted to do and went from job to job trying to find her place in the world. She eventually discovers she has a knack and love of organizing. She also helps out her best friend and roommate, Michael, at his bar. I loved Michael.

January and Brecken meet at Michael's bar on her birthday. Brecken's last minute office party disrupted Michael’s plans to celebrate her birthday. Brecken ends up hiring January to clean out and organize the ranch to get it ready to sell. Mr. I don’t have time or interest in relationships finds himself inexplicably drawn to her and finding more ways to spend time with her.

Couple of things had me raising my eyebrows. Brecken has been sleeping with and going to social events for an entire year with Nadia. She got to pick the events they went to and he took her to all his business dinners. Even though he’d told her it was sex and social events, he didn't think after that amount of time she'd be attached or have a problem with him tossing her so easily and quickly to the side? Seriously? He worked with his VP very closely for the last 5 years and knows absolutely nothing about her or her personal life? Both of these things had me questioning if I was going to like him. His constant and consistent wooing of January began to win me over and made me think he was sincere in his pursuit of her. Then, BAM, the expected conflict happens and I want to smack him all over again. Eventually they figure it all out to get their HEA.

Discussion of birth control but no discussion of sexual health of either party before having unprotected sex.

Several dangling romantic lines lead me to think there may be more books in this series.

Brecken Blackstone is your typical billionaire. Well known, committed to nothing but his company but has the disposal of women as his beckon call when needed. So when he meets January Lyle, he knew she was different.

Brecken was just the type of guy that she tried to stay away from. She grew up with her father dragging her through business meeting and galas. But there was something that kept drawing her back to Brecken. The other problem though is that he is ber boss… and so she really should stay away. The chemistry though between the two of them is through the roof and once they passed over the line, it was hard for the two of them to stay away from each other.

But just as they thought things were going their way.. along comes Nadia.

I love Brecken… dirty talking, gorgeous and knows what he wants. January was fiery and fierce and could stand up to Brecken. Definitely pick up this book! It’s a fun quick read from an author I love.

I received a complimentary arc from NG for review

Brecken meets January at her friends bar (she helps out a lot there) and when he finds out she is a professional organizer, he hires her to organize his boyhood home/ranch. They really hit it off and January tries to resist but Breck works hard to romance her.

One of the big issues in this story is Nina, who is Breck's assistant. She is also his casual sex partner. Once he meets J he likes her a lot and he uses Nina because he cant have J. I HATED THAT!! The fact that as he gets romantic with J and claims he is single he never mentions NIna at all. I HATED. At times I felt he cheated because he is not honest about that from the beginning. It would be different if she was not his assistant but she is there constantly.

Another main plot of the story is how betrayed Breck felt when he discovered he had an older brother, who he grew up with but thought was the housekeepers child. Its a complicated part of the story but I hated how Nina tapped into that and used that against him.

I mostly enjoyed this story because January is this amazing heroine. She really made this entire book and like Breck I could not resist her either.

4 1/2 Star Review......

Mister Cowboy is my first read by Rebecca Jenshak, but it certainly won’t be my last! A fabulous story that details the unexpected dilemma of choosing between a wealth of responsibility and the ache in your heart; this emotionally charged story is sure to have readers glued to their seats.

Brecken is adorable from the moment you meet him, with his suave sophistication, gorgeous smile, and sweet sense of humour; he is everything a woman could possibly want. And let’s not forget the effervescent January Lyle. A spirited, sassy and refreshingly honest woman, who lives a somewhat, undefined existence.

Separately, these characters have so many wonderful traits, but together they are compelling. Their chemistry is combustible, and will have you reaching to ramp up the AC, but they are light-hearted, sweet and just plain loveable too.

Ms Jensahk has written the perfect balance between love and angst, while providing readers with a great plot and an engaging support cast. I can’t wait for the next book!

An enjoyable story with characters who are engaging and entertaining. The dialog is fast moving, drawing you in from the first chapter. The story itself moves quickly...I'd formed an emotional attachment to Brecken and January and almost felt as if I had an investment in their HEA...that's' just how believe this author creates her characters.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

This story opens up on January Lyle’s twenty-ninth birthday evening. When her plans with her best friend and roommate Michael went belly-up due to Michael having to work his brand-new bar. Because Blackstone Software company decided they wanted to through a last-minute party for its employees and were willing to pay a $500.00 bonus over the asking price for putting Michael out that night.

He hated to do this to her but he just couldn’t turn down this new business connection. This suit was someone with a lot of juice that could make or break him and right now that could hurt if he said no. So, here she sat at the end of the bar sulking instead of helping him out. Being her birthday, he refused to allow her to pick up or anything.

They were supposed to meet some friends at a new trendy club to drink and dance her birthday away. But instead, she was watching a whole lot of knockoff suits come in and out of the back room coming to the bar to get off a glass of Scotch neat. In general, she hated suits for that was all she was raised around. Men in suits with money. They thought they owned the world and everyone owed them. Well, not her.

Her father was a Senator in Chicago so that is why she was in Colorado but also one more reason for him to forget it was her birthday as if he needed anything. So, as she was sitting there Mr. Real Armani Suit walks in the door is all his sexiness that she had to make sure she wasn’t drooling I’m sure. That he headed straight for the bar to the empty seat right next to her. He asked if it was being used and she said, no. She noticed he had a little smirk so she realized she was openly staring at him. When Michael came back to their side of the bar he pours her more wine and asks Mr. Armani what he would like to drink to which he says, Coors. She turns her head in surprise and says, that she is she never would have pegged him for something so regular. She thought for sure he was a Scotch neat.

He wanted to know if she always judged people on appearance? She said no but judging by all the knock-off suits coming and going from the back room carrying Scotch neat’s it wasn’t hard to take a guess he was part of their crowd although with much better fashion sense. Plus, there are not too many Armani suits that come in ordering Coors. Then she asks if he was waiting for a Mrs. Armani or is it just the two of them, him and his suit? He laughed a deep laugh. Just the two he said if she would like to follow them home. She asked if that line ever worked for him he said he didn’t know it was the first time he ever used it. So, did it? They both laughed. But both their fires had been lit.

Michael comes back and asks if she wanted to still go out after he closed the bar. It wouldn’t be the same but it would be fun? She said, no, she was just going to call it a night. But Michael said she was crazy if she thought they would do nothing for her birthday. Then, he was off again to the other side of the bar to help someone. Then, Armani asks if it was her birthday.

She said yes. That Michael was going to take her out but some big software company had to have their party tonight. He paused in mid-drink. “I see.” He said. “Maybe another night.” She said, “No not the same.” Then, there was not one thing to be said after that it just felt awkward.

Michael appeared and cleared Armani’s empty bottle. Then he says, “Can I get you anything else, Mr. Blackstone?” Just as January was taking a drink and she started to choke. He asked her name she gave it. He got up and paid for the drink and the party then went to make an appearance.

This was an interesting story of two people who ran away from their past to make new lives for themselves. They did nothing wrong but the hurt and pressures of their past lives before was just too much and now the ghost was getting closer to them in their dreams and in reality.

See how they find a way to help each other out of some painful memories bringing new light to things that were looked at too harshly before. I give this: 5 stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.

January meets Brecken one night in her friends bar. She intrigues him, and he hires her to sort out his family ranch ready to sell.
I liked that the chapters were from both main character's point of view, so you knew how they were both feeling.
An enjoyable and fast paced read.
