What a fun, light read! If you need a little lighthearted read, this is the book to read. I highly enjoyed it and will recommend it to anyone who asks!

Jessica Lemmon has brought another great story to The Real Men series. I loved this book, it’s wonderfully written, sweet, sexy hot & laugh out loud funny at times as well as heartbreaking. I also loved how Jessica Lemmon wrote this book having Barrett tell the story to his ex-girlfriend while we got to see what happens as he relives it. That was truly inspiring. I love a good bad boy & Barrett was just that, with his dirty sexy image & his take no prisoners attitude but he had a sweet, loving side as well. Catarina was a strong, independent, smart, sexy journalist who’s life is starting to crumble around her with the decline of her current relationship. When paired with bad boy Barrett we see another side of Catarina, a fun, easy going side. It was fun watching these two totally different people fall for each other over the course of their working together. As in all of her books the chemistry is off the charts with Catarina & Barrett & we enjoyed the energy that came from that build up of chemistry. I also enjoyed seeing Dax & Becca again. Definitely recommend.

This was a fun enemies to lovers book. It was funny, hot and just ya. I really enjoyed it

I love a good enemies-to-lovers book and this was such a fun and entertaining story! Jessica Lemmon's writing is so witty and I love all the banter between Fox and Cat.

Well I have a hit or miss with this author. I didn't hate this book but I didn't love it. Barrett was too confident and arrogant. and Catarina was too judgmental. So we have an enemies to lovers story, but it was pretty difficult to get there since they both annoyed the hell out of me.

What a fun read! I didn't love Arm Candy by the same author, so was a little hesitant to read this, but figured I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. The chemistry between the two leads was there from the start and I raced through the book to see them have their happy ending.

Sweet, fun and sexy! In her latest “Real Love” series, Jessica Lemmon couples ex-NFL’s cocky bad boy and the prim and proper journalist Catarina Everhart for a publicity stunt that will boost sales, put the jock back on the broadcaster seat and turn a few fake dates into more than anyone ever expected.
On the surface, Barrett Fox fits the ex-jock bad boy persona to a tee and Catarina could not dislike the idea of being in the same room much less fake dating him. But being forced to interact with him for the sake of her column has given her the opportunity to see a different side of him. And while Barrett was used to having women fawn all over him, he had his hands full trying to get Catarina to give him the time of day, let alone get a chance to explore the chemistry between them. What no one could have predicted though, was that their faux relationship would turn into the real thing.
Lemmon continues to provide tales full of wit, great banter, delicious sexual tension and wonderful characters that get me hooked right from the start. Even though Barrett comes off as a too relaxed, sure of himself smart@$$, he is a wonderful hero whose inner layers show a caring, sweet and hardworking man who has a secret he struggles with and tries to hide even from Catarina. But what’s no secret is his quest to make her feel desired.
One of the best aspects of the novel is that it falls under the enemies-to-lovers trope. Watching these two battle it out was super fun while they exchanged barbs and cute nicknames, and seeing how they fell was flat out swoony making the hard-won happy ending feel honest between the two seemingly opposite characters who turn out to be a perfect fit.
Rumor Has It is book #4 of the Real Love series by Jessica Lemmon. It is a standalone contemporary romance, told from both points of view with a happily ever after and epilogue.

Thank you to NetGalley for granting my request for an ARC of this book. The review below is entirely my own opinion:
I couldn't connect with either MC. I found Barrett's behavior to be too douchey to be likable. And as for Catarina, she was too stand-offish for me. Sorry, not a fan of the book.

I liked the book, but I didn't love it. It seemed to drag after the beginning and was too predictable. I also wasn't too thrilled with Catarina since she seemed to be way too judgmental and stuck up. I don't see what she immediately had against Barrett when they were tasked with writing the column, but it was very annoying for a while there.. Once you got past Barrett's ego, you found a guy who was confident, but lived a life that always let him down. It was hard not to love him when his disability came out (it was obvious to me though before it was revealed) and especially after seeing him interact with his nephew. He was a big guy with a bigger heart, who just so happened to be cocky and sexy.
Once they decided to be a real couple instead of just fake dating for the column, they became really adorable together. They balanced each other well and had great chemistry, so I found their relationship believable. It developed a bit too quickly given the animosity in the beginning, but I guess when you're forced to spend that much time with someone, it can happen. I would have liked to see an epilogue for this one now that the column was done since it's hard to judge their relationship just on the time they spent together because of work obligations and now they're living in the 'real world' without a filter.
One thing that bothered me was the whole Mia thing at the end. I would have been furious and would not have come back after that stunt. So I don't get why they gave her a second chance when she lacked integrity and common decency.
Overall, a decent read, but it's not on that stands out from others.
Disclaimer: I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Good book I recommend it! It was written very well! Nice story I couldn't get into it as much as I would have liked but definitely a solid read!! Thank you netgalley for sharing this book with me!!

Barrett, a former pro football star is now trying his hand as a reporter. He is working on a story called "Dating a Bad Boy", him be4ing the bad boy. He is cowriting the story with Catarina. She is the exact opposite of Barrett. That is what makes this one great! Opposites attract, but also make for a fantastic love story!!

Overall I enjoyed this book. It is my first book by Jessica Lemmon so I wasn't sure what to expect. I liked the story and the characters. At times it seemed like the story was just going through the motions and didn't really get deep into backstories or what was going on. It just lacked some extra details or substance that I think would have sent the story above the ordinary. While I did like Fox, Catarina rubbed me wrong at times. She just seemed a little pretentious. It wasn't that she was a bad character, I just think she wasn't as relatable as Fox so it made her the less likable of the duo. I would recommend this as a quick and enjoyable read!

3.5 Stars overall
I received this ARC in return for an honest review.
The book begins at right before the end of the story, and is told in flashback. Catarina is a journalist working on the online side of a local paper. She is given an assignment to “date” bad boy ex-NFL player Barrett Fox. This is a enemies to lovers/fake fiancé book. What I really liked about the book, Barrett. While he initially comes across as a jerk, he is really a great guy with a heart of gold. I also found this to be a pretty amusing book. What I had problems with, the basic setup of the book. Catarina is a journalist how agrees to write a fake story? Catarina is also pretty judgmental for a supposedly impartial journalist. And finally, the problem that has separated them places all the blame on Barrett, when any reasonable person would have understood his reaction. Again, Catarina is inflexible and judgmental. I guess I’m saying I’m not such a fan of Catarina aka Kitty-Cat.

Oh my gosh! The world needs more Barrett Fox and his KittyCat!!
This was such an incredibly fun read! I have read and loved books from Jessica Lemmon before and this one did not disappoint!
The chemistry between the two main characters was off the charts, the steamy parts were smokin' hot, and the back and forth banter was great! Loved every bit of this book!

Former NFL star player Barrett Fox is use to having women vying for his attention, each one he comes across hoping to catch a single second of his time, and he usually obliges and treats them to a good time... but then he meets Catarina Everhart and the tables seem to have been turned. He can't even manage to get a perusing look from her let alone a smile, she stumps him, and has him instantly questioning himself and feeling like he is off his game. It's as if she is completely resistant to his charms, and to a guy like him that is a huge blow to his ego, he is not use to being the chaser, the one vying for attention and it drives him a little crazy. He has never had to work this hard for a women's attention, but he knows they would be good together so he bides his time, puts in the necessary work, and waits for her to see things his way... and once she does all bets are off! And suddenly the player has no desire to be a player anymore!!
Catarina Everhart has never met a man quite as infuriating as Barrett Fox, he knows he is good looking, and has no qualms about showing it, and he wants her time and attention, but she can' t really stand to be around him... or can she? When her boss informs her that he will be playing the role of her new boyfriend, for the sake of her column, she is more than a little ticked that her boss would cross the line and suggest such a thing, but she likes her job and wants to keep it, so she plays along. But somewhere along the long resisting the playboy becomes a lot harder, and things that were supposed to be fake suddenly become real, and feelings start to get involved and it has her more than a little nervous for her heart. Question is can you really take "the player" out of the playboy and can he really be a settled man?
Rumor Has It is a gem of a story; with it's playful banter, smoking hot sexy times, and endearing characters you really can't go wrong with this one, I guarantee the moment your eyes land on the page you will be hooked!! I loved my time with these two, Barrett originally came off as a egotistical playboy that always got his way, but then Catarina entered the picture and she forced him to take a good look at himself, clean up his act a little, and she brought out a side in him that was sweet and unexpected. He quickly saw the error of his ways, and realized she wouldn't be a quick little conquest, she was a woman that was worth more than that, and that he needed to take his time with her and really invest himself in their relationship and it was a lot of fun to watch him discover all of those details! I have had the pleasure of reading every book in this series and I have to admit this one just took the top seat as my favorite, there is just something about a cocky athlete that speaks to me, and Barrett spoke volumes!! I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, Barrett is sure to steal your heart and make you swoon!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and voluntarily read and reviewed.

This is my very first read by Jessica Lemmon and I will definitely be reading more of her books.
Catarina (Kitty Cat) is a columnists of the relationships section of Chat. She has been tasked with pretend dating ex-NFL player/ex-Broadcaster bad boy Barrett Fox and write about it to help land the bad boy back in good graces after a stunt of epic proportions lands him in hot water.
As much as Catarina starts off highly disliking Fox eventually she starts to see past the bad boy armor to the man beneath and while she'd rather not admit it he starts to grow on her. The pretend dating starts to turn into more until a disasterous misunderstanding has the two turning on each other.
Will these two discover the whole truth or will they lose each other?
This book was utter perfection. I connected and felt so much for these two. I was rooting for them from the get go even when Barrett was a major jerk. Loved the storyline and how beautifully it flowed. Kudos to Ms. Lemmon on a fantastic read!

REALLY CUTE! I really enjoyed this story from Jessica Lemmon. Both characters were adorable in their own way and there were some really cute moments.

I received a review copy from NG for review purposes.
For me this author is a hit or miss and this book is a HIT!! Absolutely wonderful. It is so fun and I loved every minute.
Catarina is a columnist with a boyfriend and the new guy at her job is a former bad boy football player Barrett. She gets assigned to date him. (YES even with a boyfriend) and thats when the fun starts. Think total opposites who hate each other.
This was a really fun story and romance and I loved every minute.

I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved this book! I could not put it down. The lead male character-- Barrett is hysterical in everything that he says and does in goading Catarina "Kitty cat". He comes across as a jerk at first (a very funny jerk), but then his deeper layers are discovered and he is even more adorable. I think that I want my own Barrett!
This has a happy ending, but is so very enjoyable to read.
This is making me look for more books by Jessica Lemmon.
