I'm a huge fan of Ultimate Guide series. Each is written by specialists and you are bound to learn a ton, both in terms of strengthening your existing knowledge, dispelling things you knew to be "facts" and introduce to a ton of information you had no idea of prior to reading the book.
This book is no different. I learned so many new things, showed why certain things I had been doing were not only not best practice but rather counterproductive.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anybody who is serious about using YouTube to support an existing business or to use YouTube as an accelerator of a business model.

Although I'm not seeking for a YouTube career any time soon , this book was quite an interesting read and very informative.

This is a great book bursting with help, resources and ideas for using YouTube in your business. It is well worth investing the time to read as the benefits of using YouTube can be huge. This is a great resource for beginners and there are so many helpful hints tips and links to other resources that it is definitely worth the investment. I think it is well structured and easy to read or just have as a dip in resource. The level of information is pitched well too, and should be suitable for all levels. Thank you

This book is targeted at small businesses who intend to use YouTube to tell their potential audience about their business, their products, and how to use their products. The focus was on helping your business present polished videos and get word out about them so that people will view them. The book helps you figure out who your target audience is, what type of videos will be most effective for your company, how to set up your account on YouTube and upload your videos (step by step), and how to advertise your videos or have advertising on your videos.

While they did briefly describe the type of equipment you would need to do your own video work, you can get more detailed descriptions of this from an online search than from the book. They recommended that you hire someone to do the video work instead of doing it yourself, so they didn't spend much time on this aspect. They did list and describe a variety of video editing programs, but they provided only general information on the other equipment. If you want to know how to set up lighting, run a video camera, or use that editing software, they suggested looking it up on YouTube or certain magazine websites.

It was a little technical, but then again, I"m 'old,' relatively speaking....at least, in terms of the generation that is using YouTube on mass scale. That said, there were many tidbits to glean, and the author was great about including the websites and references both within the text and in an index at the back of the book. There were a LOT of great ideas, and while I know that many of them aren't applicable to our business, I hope to try and put the ones that are applicable into place over the next year. If you're a tech-old-timer, it's worth reading to try and play catch up!
