Maven Hoffman’s new family was made of these legends come to life, and, as if that wasn’t enough, it would seem her new stepfather was a dragon, a Monster of the sky! And she’d just learned that her mother was one now too! But she had to admit her handsome stepbrother was in a league of his own. He had the body of Neptune, blazing eyes that melted her on the spot when he focused on her and, of course, his dragon was the most beautiful thing Maven had ever seen.
This was a pretty quick read with a lot thrown in, along with several genres. It wasn’t bad for what it was. I’m not sure I’ll be reading another book from this author.

I must say, that was the best ending to a series ever!!! I so didn’t see that coming!! I loved this series, all three books!!!

It's not BAD but... Very short & fast paced. I can't remember if running in fear series was like this. It's a short quick read that just wets your appetite. Nothing really that exciting.

This is a quick, easy read. Our heroine suddenly discovers she's part of a family of dragon shifters at her mother's second wedding. Not only that, but her stepbrother appears to be her mate! Title is inconsistent with the story as Maven (main character) seems to adapt to the dragon idea pretty quickly, and doesn't seem to ever think of him as monster. This book is fairly short, and it feels pretty rushed. It seems as though the author had a ton of great ideas flying at her and she just rushed to put everything in...but I didn't feel enough time was given to building the characters or their world or their bond, so as the other stuff kept getting added, I just didn't connect with it as much. I also think the author made the assumption that the reader would be familiar with some basic dragon shifter lore, as some things went unexplained that I think would be confusing for a reader completely unfamiliar with this concept. Lots of fun, some steamy scenes, seemed like perhaps a prequel or starter for a series?

Her Stepbrother is a monster by Trinity Blacio.
Mavens mum has just married Danger McCain her Stepbrother Azure. Azure and Danger are  dragons known as Targon.
A fantastic read.  I love this series. I love how azure protected maven. 5*.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The book is a little hard to read. The sentence structure isn't great at times;the words don't flow right at times and this is distracting. I do like the story concept if not it's execution. There are inconsistencies in the writing such as she's 32 but her mother says "she should have gone through this when puberty hit not 30 years later". If she hit puperty let's say at 13, 30 years later would be 43 not 32. Things like this make me as a reader fall out of a story. I also don't like that the main character, again who is 32, keeps calling her deceased father daddy. That doesn't feel ok. It's wierd.

Maven, the protagonist, is half human, half dragon and didn't know about the dragon part. Her mother has remarried to a dragon and it's during their marriage that the story starts.
She's starts to get enraged over something at the wedding and starts the shifting process. She's spirited away from the wedding to a remote cabin by her step brother. Step brother, Azure, is also a dragon who you realize in the first few pages claims Maven as his mate. Romance, sex and arguments ensue. And oh there is a murder mystery.

What I liked about the book and thought unique was the author's concept of dragons. The dragons are alien beings that bond with humans with dragon blood. They come from an alien world that exploded a long time ago. Apparently they don't need a host but prefer one. I kinda would like to find out more about them especially when not bound to a human. I also liked that the dragon talks with the human host.

Sadly, I would not recommend the book to others. Overall the book was ok but not well written. The storyline also had a lot of potential.

Trinity Blacio has always been a favorite author of mine. Easy and fun reads. Her Stepbrother Are..
series have been a lot fun to read, their personalities and antics as well as their love and passion from both the hero and heroine.

As well as I loved the story, in general, it was a very quick read, it seemed it was rushed just a bit. Hard to connect with Maven and Azure (off name for a male *smiles* ) I didn't think Azure was a "Monster" as the title reflected more majestic.
Maven did so very well with the bombshell dropped on her and I simply just love Chandra. That sassiness rocks!
I'm a freak at heart so I did think the sex scenes were hot. I did miss the Ménage aspect of what I'm used to from Trinity's stories. I voluntarily read and review the ARC from NetGalley

This is part of the author’s Stepbrother series and was a good book. It’s a short book but still very enjoyable. I wish it had been longer, so you could learn more about the family and the background story. Hopefully that will be told in later books. Maven never knew that her parents were dragons until her mother remarried. She met new stepbrother, Azure, at the wedding and her life made a drastic change in more ways than one. It may be short but there’s a lot of exciting and dangerous things happening. I can’t wait to read more about their family. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC that I received from Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Maven tried to find happiness but instead found abuse. Now as her mother toasts a new beginning Maven toast failure. Love isn’t for her as much as she wished or is it?
Her Stepbrother is a Monster is the latest stepbrother offering by Trinity Blacio. I enjoyed Maven. She was hurting but determined not to ruin her mother’s big day. I love her attempt at protecting those she loves. But I adored the male Ms. Blacio gave her. Azure hated he wasn’t there to protect the one fated for him. But that would change. I love that Ms. Blacio gave Maven a warrior worthy of her love. Azure saw Maven and was ready, willing and able to fulfill her needs. I love the chemistry and heart between Azure and Maven.
This story is a quick but enjoyable read. I hope Ms. Blacio will return to this world in the future.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are hones
Maven founds herself in a fairy tale kind of life, where dragons are real.
She would know since her mother married a dragon shifter.
Not to mention her new stepbrother is a hottie.
When Azure meets Maven, he knows that she is his mate.
Let the wooing begin!
I loved the storytelling + the characters
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!

I very much enjoyed this book. Maven always thought she was human, but it turns out she had a dragon inside her, who was a princess. She met her stepbrother at her mother's second wedding and he turned out to be a dragon and her mate. They met and mated VERY quickly but all was well. I have read quite a few dragon stories and it's been awhile since I read about dragons mating in the air. Interesting and a little dangerous. Since the dragon inside Maven has more than 15 siblings, I'm hoping for more of this story line.
I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

I voluntarily read an Advance Review Copy of this book through Netgalley. The story is of Maven who learns after 30 years she has a dragon inside her and Azure who is her fated mate. The story is well written and erotic. It is left with unanswered questions which I hope is continued in another book. This was a great read and I highly recommend it.

This is a classic Trinity Blacio story with the twist of only one stepbrother. When Mavin's mother marries a dragon, Mavin discover's she also has a dragon that has taken 30 years to manifest itself. Short and spicy. A fast read.

I received a copy of Her Stepbrother is a Monster by Trinity Blacio from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I was intrigued by the summary and really wanted to like this novel, but the storyline could have been pulled together better and the characters developed more (less flat). It was a struggle to continue reading several times.

Unfortunately, this book just missed the mark for me.

I enjoyed the premise of this book and the author's style of writing, but it was too short for me to feel an affinity with any of the characters. I do intend to look for other books by this author since I enjoyed her style of writing and paranormal stories in general. (I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.)

I’ve read the Running in Fear series, and a few others but this is the first stepbrother story I’ve read from T. Blacio. It’s different, very short and it’s not a erotica as the others, the ending was more HFN then HEA.
One day Mavan learned her ex husband was a shifter, her mother married her new stepfather ( he is a loving man towards both her and her mother (huge plus)), her new stepbrother, his father and her parents was/were dragons and her new brother is her mate not to mention she is also a dragon but of royalty. But safety is far from being at hand for her and her new surprisingly large dragon family, and their is more....

Trinity Blacio offers another entry to her widely popular Stepbrother series! These stories are shorter novellas, but they definitely do not skimp on plot!

I enjoyed this adventure with dragons! I take offense to the title of monster-because I truly don't see them as such. Yes, big, scary, but truly warm and caring too! Azure is Maven's new stepbrother after their parents wed. He realizes Maven is his true mate! He is a very nice dragon shifter and seemed to really care about Maven and how she is taking everything in that is happening to her.

Maven didn't even know she was part dragon! It was awakened with the proximity of her true mate. She is kind of freaked out but yet she feels safe and settled.

This is a spin off of the stepbrother series and it leaves us wanting answers! With those answers up in the air, I have to believe we will get a whole lot more of this world and lots more stories about these dragons!
