To say that this book was full of drama and sex is an understatement. Please do not do like I did and read this while at work. You might find yourself looking at your fine ass coworker and getting excited, if you know what I mean. Ok, seriously though, Along Came a Savage appeared to be an interesting read, based on the reviews I read, and I decided to give it a shot. Wahida’s name being attached also made me want to read this. Anyway, this book crazy. Taylor, or Tay-Tay as she’s called in the book, is married to her nerdish businessman husband, who has a hand in the drug trade. Yeah, big surprise. She is living big and thinks the world is hers. Or so she thought. Tay-Tay soon learns people aren’t always who we think they are, and lawd, does this chick experience some ish. Betrayal and backstabbing all up in this bish. And, I did mention the sex scenes, right? This book was a bit all over the place for me, and different characters were popping up page after page, I was dizzy. The book ended abruptly with many unanswered questions and left me side eyeing my kindle. Despite all of that, true street lit fans will enjoy this book. This book has all of the elements of a street lit novel, as it is fast-paced.

What a good book!!! I read this in two settings. If you are looking for adventure, drama etc, it is all here. Lying, deceit, read this book to see what happens when things take a turn. Another strong book from the author. Don't sleep on this book or this author who does not disappoint. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
