This is short and steamy with love and desire at first sight and a sexy strong man. She has no problem molding to his will and he loves making her say what she wants just so he can deliver and then some. He though he was content alone focusing on work, until he saw her, after that there was no reason to waste time or let go. Lucky girl...

Later on a snow storm will bring them together that will allow them to finally fulfill those fantasies they have been having.

2.5 stars Hard Wood is the second novella of the "The Dirty Bits Collection" that I picked up recently. It was definitely an insta-love story, but something about it just didn't sit right with me. I can't quite put my finger on what it was, but I think it was Noah and his reaction when he first sees Mia. It was just too carnal to be normal. They barely knew each other and a within an hour of Noah rescuing Mia from a snow storm, they are in bed. I mean it was hot, but also kind of weird for me. This is one that would have really benefited from being a longer story. I felt like I barely got to know either character and within two weeks, they are pledging love for each other. Definitely not my favorite.

Cute and quick, perhaps overly so, this is advertised as bite0sized hotness, and that is mostly what you get- a surly lumberjack brought back to life by instalove. Steamy steam happens, and endings that are happy, as advertised, as well. I did receive an advanced copy and have provided an honest review.

This book is going tone a great series!! It was funny hot and told well but!! This book was way way way to short!! If I had known how short it was I definitely would not have requested it! But thank you netgalley for sharing this book with me it was short but still good and its going to be a great series

While Hard Wood had the instalove that I’ve come to know and enjoy from Jenika Snow, it had a bit more heart than some of the previous Dirty Bits books and I’m all for it! Mia and Noah were such a sweet couple and the chemistry between them was combustible. I really look forward to reading about Noah’s brothers soon! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

This is the kind of book that I wish had been expanded to novel length, but sadly, it was only in (very short) novella form. There was a lot more that I wanted to read...and these characters were pretty hot! It featured one of my favorite tropes--stranded due to bad weather.. How I wish there was more...

Steamy little 'sex filled micro romance' as Carina promises with their new line. Mia and Noah have that insta-lust 'gotta have you' experience on first making eye contact and indulge in their passion soon enough. A small amount of world building to set the stage, and Noah's got 2 brothers whom I'm sure we'll see in future stories. It's what I expected in picking this one up, and I'm pleased with the result. I'll be looking to read more from this author. 3.5 stars.

These two were really cute together with their insta love and hot hot sexy scenes! I loved them alot! I am looking forward to reading Noah's brothers books!

This the type of book you will read in one hour and it's better to read it at home because it's too hot!Well I have read many books from Jenika Snow some are too hot and some not so!This was in the middle, it was fast paced , cute and steamy!If you are looking for a quick read with a swoon worthy hero this is perfect.

Hard Wood, is Short, and Sexy, in other words good old smut. This is the first in Jenika's new series called The Ash Brothers. This one in particular is about the brother, Noah and Mia. Heads up though, it finishes at 70 (ish) % so that is my warning, I know we all like to keep track of our spending habits. You can literally read this with in an hour, once done you will be left feeling frustrated in a good way, heading out fo a cool shower or finding your partner of any kind... its the truth. This starts of angsty, and then moves into the sweet sexy. For me I am looking for more from the story these days, I wanted a little more depth and for it to be a lot longer then what it is. Unfortunately I'm going to be in the minority who gives this one a low rating.

Super sexy and short read! I've read most of Snow's previous work and I know I'll always come away blushing and feeling flustered! Can't wait for Flora and Big Johnny book.

When you get past the first chapter and start feeling a little fuzzy feeling in you belly you know you are going to be in for one hell of a ride! I am a huge Jenika Snow fan I have been with her since her early days and she just keeps getting better and better! Hard Wood was rough and soft all at once. When I was done reading it I needed to have a shot of some whiskey to calm my nervous. My husband even looked at me with a side eye LOL.

What a great quick story! I love this author, and this book was no different. It had everything for a quick and dirty novella--insta love and lust with unrealistic storylines. Just the thing to read right before bed! Can't wait for the next in the series.

I must admit that for awhile there the books by this author were beginning to run into each other. They were just a lot of mine, mine, mine and no real substance to the story. I enjoyed this one because there was an actual story going on here. I'm curious what will happen with the brother and Flora. I hope they get a book too.
