This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended

This series never disappoints. Each book is as good as the last. The characters are brilliant and love that they all have their own stories.

A series I absolutely love but had fallen behind on. I love the main characters in The Womens Murder Club.
Lyndsey, Clare, Yuki and Cindy. 4 totally different ladies that are also best friends.
This book was focused more around Lyndsey and Yuki this time around the other ladies I felt had taken a back seat.
The story featured around Yuki is her representing a client that has been the victim of male rape, I found it really intriguing and it does make you think a little.
Anyone who is following the series then this is a must read for you.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I've read the previous Women's Murder Club series, so when this 1 came up, I jumped on the chance to read. Unfortunately it took me til a couple of days ago to pick it up as life got in the way lol. But as usual James Patterson & Maxine Paetro has done it again with how the book smoothes over stuff. BUT I will agree with others that the court room episodes went on for most of the book, I think it should of concentrated on both parts as you could get lost in the story and what way the characters was going.

In my opinion, I would definitely carry on reading the series as I want to know what happens with the Women's Murder Club.

The annual Women’s Murder Club release is always something I look forward to, even if I don’t always read them on release, there’s something comforting about such a long-running series always being there and this is one of my absolute favourites. 17th Suspect I felt was a good addition to the series, however taking away the WMC, if this had been just a bog-standard crime novel by another author, it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable or as punchy and that’s because it’s the characters that makes these books shine.

This time around and it’s Lindsay and Yuki who take centre stage in this story. Lindsay when she becomes caught up in a case outside of her jurisdiction, that being the murders of homeless people and Yuki when she heads up the prosecution of a woman accused of raping her male colleague at gunpoint. Both dramas I immediately got caught up in but they aren’t anything dramatic or amazing, this book isn’t going to be one of the best crime novels you’ll read this year nor is it particularly memorable but I think a huge part of this series success is that familiarity with the characters and it’s that continuance of their lives that brings me back book after book and I don’t want this series to end yet.

Both of these cases allows the character development of Lindsay and Yuki to continue. After losing her last few cases Yuki really needs this one to essentially save her career and professional reputation. By this point she isn’t a lawyer I would choose to represent me. Lindsay on the other hand is as tenacious as ever and there’s less abandonment of her daughter here due to her husband remaining at home for the foreseeable future. She has to make some difficult decisions here and in terms of where her personal and professional life goes in this story, it has left me wondering just what the future holds for Lindsay and her WMC friends and I can’t wait to find out.

I’m fairly sure there will be an 18th instalment of this series and I sincerely hope that it goes into the twenties because it’s a series I don’t want to end and I never want to not be reading about these characters. There’s always plenty of cheesy moments in these stories, but I can always overlook that because out of all the crime series I have read over the years this has been one of the ones I have enjoyed the most. I remember the day I borrowed 1st to Die from the library and was blown away with how quick I read it. Before then crime novels would take me a few days to read (now my GR friends know I read much faster than that) but the short chapters and fast-paced storytelling that James Patterson delivers meant I was reading them much quicker. That of course isn’t indicative of how good his novels are, he has plenty of critics but in terms of pure enjoyment this series has never failed me and that is why I will continue to return to it again and again, for as long as they are being written.

I am starting to get addicted to the Women's Murder Club book. This 17th instalment doesn't disappoint. Great fast paced like we expect from James Patterson. Great book

I love James Patterson and have read most of his books, but I just couldn’t get on with this! I don’t know if it was the poor formatting, but I just couldn’t get past the first few chapters!
I think that sometimes writers continue a series for continuing sake as an easy option.
I will give it another go when released, in case it was the formatting. Poor show for JP.

Reading a Women’s Murder Club book is like slipping on a comfy pair of slippers. You know exactly what you’re getting with the characters you love. Another great book by James Patterson - bring on number 18.

I found this book hard to read as the formatting was bad, paragraphs had words missing then seemed to be repeated on the next page so it was very difficult to read. I would love to give it another read if the formatting is sorted out as the little bit I managed to read seemed really good.

Wow, did I just go on an all night emotional rollercoaster or what?! I am so thankful that I received a copy of this book from the publishers in exchange for an honest review! I am in total fangirl status right now! The Women's Murder Club Series is the series that rekindled my LOVE for reading. I was slumping around the house and binging on Netflix 24/7 because of some new chronic illnesses. I was just in a total fog and numbed out completely. I got a recommendation from a friend about this series and decided why not try it? I purchased First to Die by James Patterson and fell head over heels in LOVE with these characters. I LOVED everything about the book and read it within a day and proceeded to read all of the series within a month. I still recall all the details of every book in the series and that's when you know a book series is one that you absolutely adore! Well rest assured fans that Patterson and Paetro blew this latest installment out of the water! The characterisation was amazing! I mean, what's not to love about 4 strong and independent leading ladies with their own awesome and custom personalities?

This particular Women's Murder Club book was more special than it's been in years. There is some big game changers in this installment. This novel is focused primarily on Lindsay and Yuki's current situations. As the reader, you get to experience an insane and cringeworthy courtroom case with Yuki and a twisty serial killer case with Lindsay. I enjoyed racing through this novel with not only their intense cases but their intense life experiences! I did not see any of the many twists coming and can't wait for the next installment! If you have read any of these novels, the latest Women's Murder Club installment is not to be missed!!!

I was so excited to get this book. I love the Women's Murder Club so was really keen to get this started. Unfortunately the formatting on this copy was so bad that I gave up with it. There were large paragraphs repeated a few paragraphs before where it should have been. I thought I'd be able to just ignore those bits and carry on, but it was all linking into other paragraphs and made it really difficult. I have tried it on two kindles, various sizes etc, so don't know if it's just my copy or if it's everyone's. If anyone does have any suggestions, then please let me know as I really want to read it!! So, whilst I probably would have given it a good review, unfortunately I won't be reviewing it or sharing it on my blog. I do have to give it stars though to post this, so will be giving a "middle of the road" 3!
