In one word, Loved!! I fell in love with this Montgomery book from the very first page. Megan and Alex’s story started a time ago, but no one knew and there were issues that proved to be too much. When Megan returns to the west coast to join her cousins in the Montgomery business, she finds Alex. He isn’t easy to avoid considering he is good friends with her cousins. She knew she still had feelings for him, but has no idea if he is still single, much less have feelings for her besides the anger he must feel after their last “weekend”. This book is the latest addition to the Montgomery Brothers series and I loved catching up with some of the previous characters.

It’s usually hard to put down a Samantha Chase novel for me anyway, but Alex and Megan’s story in Until There Was Us made that even more difficult. Some people believe in fate, others scoff at the idea but if there was ever a couple that could be called fated it was this one. Two years ago they had a whirlwind weekend, completely out of character for the workaholic Megan who rarely takes chances and risks are beyond her ability. It was her work, her unrelenting drive to win her father’s approval that kept their long distance romance from ever getting off the ground. Now she’s taking a job that will put her in the same hometown as Alex, with many of the same friends shared. This time around Alex isn’t holding back, this time he’s going to fight to win the woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about and wondering “what if”. Megan’s drive to prove herself will make Alex’s plans a challenge, yet she hasn’t stopped thinking about the man who could break through her walls if she let him. Eventually Megan will have to decide what is more important in her life – the approval of a father who will never, ever give her what she wants, or the love of a man who sees her worth exactly as she is and still loves her.
There is such a flame of chemistry between Alex and Megan from the start, yet Megan’s turn around to letting go of the past, hiding her secret, making work the only important thing in her life has to be described as a slow burn. And Alex isn’t without his own issues to be dealt with and the heart of those needs of his will bring you to tears for him. They are a very realistic couple for no one is without flaws. Until There Was Us is an emotional journey that alternates between tears of laughter and tears of pain, sassy at times, steamy at others this is a story that will capture your attention and not let go. I liked this couple and wanted them to find their happy ever after so badly. But they are also two stubborn people who make this an interesting journey to claim the love of a life time.
If you’re in the mood to be swept away in a complicated yet so very down to earth basic love story, then I suggest picking up Until There Was Us. You’ll find a realistic romance, stubborn people, a lively crew of secondary characters and a love to believe in and fight for. I’d definitely recommend this story or any from this series to Contemporary Romance readers who simply love a good romance.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Until There Was Us is Samantha Chase's latest addition to The Montgomery Brothers series. This time though the story is concentrated on Montgomery sister Megan who has become a workaholic trying to always prove to her father that she is as good as her brothers. This is actually a second chance romance story because Megan first met Alex Rebat at her cousin Zach's wedding two years ago. After a two night wedding fling, the two go back to their lives on opposite coasts. However, neither has been able to forget the other.
Now Megan has decided to take a job in her cousin Zach's business in Portland. She realizes that she will be in the same town as Alex but is determined to concentrate on work and not dating. But Alex has other ideas when he learns Megan is in town. You are anxious to see if Alex can finally convince Megan to take a risk on love.
As usual Samantha Chase has created believable characters facing real life situations. Even though this is part of a series, the reader is not lost by not reading the prior books. I received an ARC for my honest opinion. Grab your copy and settled down for a rocky fun read.

Alex and Megan found each other at Zach’s wedding but between the geographical distance and Megan putting work first their relationship floundered before it could ever really flourish. Fast forward two years and Megan has taken a new job across the country near Alex. They decide to give each other another try and it’s as wonderful as they remembered. Can their love survive Alex’s survivor guilt and Megan finally winning her father’s approval at work? Loved the family dynamic included in this book. Another fabulous read!

Until there was us in a new chapter in The Montgomery Brothers series. And I don't mean that it's just a new story. It's time for the Montgomery cousins to get their stories.
I liked the characters both main and secondary and I will suggest to dive into this world even if you haven't read another book in the series. The book can be read as stand-alone, but you might get the urge to read the rest of the series. I am hooked and I will continue reading the series. Megan's brother seemed like an interesting person and I want to see how his lady will bring him to his knees. He lives in another city though and that might be a problem since we might not see the city and the characters that have gotten into our hearts. That will be bad because I got invested and I loved the matchmaking uncle, aunt, and mother. I miss this kind of series and I am glad I found another one after the Bennett family series.
The book gave me more feels than I was expecting. Alex's friendship with Danny made me tear up a little and it made me sad. Alex was always the supporter and I hated to see him crumbling. I liked what Megan did to bring him back and at that moment I knew that she had completely won me over. That and her hobby cemented the deal for me. I loved both of them and how they completed each other. They had a good relationship and they learned from their mistakes in the past and their failed try at a long distance relationship. Megan was one of the good heroines. She took care of herself, she was trying to do the best and when the time came, she knew what she wanted and what she didn't.
For me, the book was great and I loved the story. I think you should buy it and see for yourselves.

Until There Was Us is the seventh book in the Montgomery Brothers series. While this is part of a series, it is a standalone and can be read without reading the other books in the series. I have been somewhat of a rebel with the series and read them out of order, so it's definitely possible to enjoy the story either way. I do think that reading the previous books helps build the connection to the supporting characters. Either way this book is fantastic and I promise you're going to love it!
A few years ago Alex and Megan hooked up at a wedding. Once the weekend was over they went their separate ways. Despite their time apart and the attempt to forget, neither one was able to shake the time they spent from their memory. When the two are brought back together Alex knows that he needs to do everything possible to show Megan that maybe they weren't meant to just share a weekend.
Watching Alex and Megan navigate this new change in their lives was so sweet and entertaining that I found myself happily sighing along with the story. Don't worry though, the story isn't too sweet that you'll get a cavity, there is plenty of family drama and angst to even out the sighing. Overall Until There Was Us is a fantastic read, and quite possibly my favorite of the Montgomery Brothers series.

I loved reading Until There was Us by Samantha Chase book in her Montgomery Brothers series. So glad to read about Megan Montgomery's story. When Megan and Alex met while attending a wedding the air filled with sparks.. I found myself laughing and crying at the same time. Megan's camping adventure will inspire everyone to try camping. I recommend this story to everyone that enjoys romance and laughter.

I absolutely loved seeing Megan grow in this book! She went from being kind of shy to knowing exactly what she wanted, and was not afraid to go for it. Alex never gave up on her. Shows that if you wait too long, true love will pass you by.

I adored this book! This is a touching, funny, emotional, & romantic story.
It's a well-written book with memorable
and relatable characters.
While at her cousin's wedding, Megan
is asked to dance, by a very handsome man. Usually, she is very cautious,
but she told herself, why not.
Alex, is good friends with the groom.
He was instantly attracted to Megan.
Megan & Alex, had spent a romantic
weekend together. They tried to see
each other after, but Megan lives in
New York, & Alex in Portland.
Jump ahead two years ~
Megan is moving to Portland, & starting
a new job. She has never stopped thinking about Alex. Zach, Megan's cousin, mentions to him that Megan is moving here. Alex is very happy to hear this, because he's never gotten over her.
When Megan & Alex finally see each other, the feelings are there, but it's awkward between them.
Now that Megan & Alex finally have the chance to get to know each other, will they find a way to make it work,
even after all this time?
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

Samantha Chase did it again. Alex and Megan's second chance romance story is one of the best you will read. Megan learning that work isn't the only important thing in life. She learns that love is just as important. Once you start reading this book you won't want to put it down. Until There Was Us is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I truly loved this second chance romance.

I've heard so much about this author and decided to give this book a try. I liked it but it didn't wow me as if expected. The pace was a bit too slow for me, and while I related with the gero, I didn't feel the same connection with the heroine. Overall it was a an ok read that her fans will enjoy.

his book just proves when you care and/or love someone, you are willing to forgive. It also shows that you will make sacrifices as well.
I'm hoping Christian will get a book as well.

This is a great second chance romance. If you've been following the series, this was also a nice opportunity to catch up with the other Montgomery's who have already tied the knot. This maybe my favorite one so far, but really I'm a sucker for second chance and friends to lovers stories so how can I pick.
I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGallery, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

In Until There Was Us we get the story of workaholic Megan, and a sexy, hot Alex. These two had a very hot weekend two years prior. But Megan's working issues and long distance caused the relationship to fizzle below it really began. When she gets the chance to move back closer to her family, she does it. And ends up running into Alex.
I LOVED Alex and Megan. In pure Samantha Chase style, we get a slow burn, low angst, sweet, and sensual romance with lots of heart. I definitely need to go back and read more of the Montgomery family. I can't wait to read more.
*I voluntarily read an advance copy from the author. This is my honest review.*

I am so happy to be back with the Montgomery's. This is one of my all time favorite series! Love this family and all of these meddling matchmakers. Such amazing lovable characters. This time around is Megan Montgomery's story. Megan met Alex Rebat 2 years ago at her cousin's wedding and had a hot and sexy weekend together. They couldn't really get anything going long distance so they fizzled out. Now Megan is moving to Portland to work for her cousin Zach. From the moment she sees Alex again, she knows she is in trouble since the feelings she had two years ago never went away. It's clear he feels the same strong chemistry. They are both extremely busy people and driven by some hidden forces. Can they give it a real go this time around? Can they find a balance? Can they make time for love? I enjoyed this book so much it was sweet, second chance romance that is sexy, emotional and all around wonderful!!

Alex is a physical therapist who loves his job and just wants to help others. He learnt a long time ago to not take anything for granted and appreciate the little things in life as it can change in a moment.
Megan’s whole life is work as she wants to prove her worth in the family business which has put her personal life on the backburner. When she meets Alex at her cousin Zach’s wedding they have an instant connection and spend the weekend together but Megan is unable to balance a long distance relationship as well as her career.
When Megan finds herself working in Portland she reconnects with Alex due to his friendship with Zach. They start out as friends but the feelings between them are stronger than ever but will Alex be able to convince Megan that there is more to life than work?
These two are perfect for each other. Alex shows Megan how to enjoy life while Megan shows Alex that he had someone in his corner when life gets tough. I have enjoyed this series and this book is no exception.

Megan is a Montgomery and she is determined to prove that she has the smarts to be a success in business. Alex is a physiotherapist, and he is a special man who listens to his patients as well as working with them to heal their injuries. He two meet at her cousin Zach’s wedding and they have a wonderful weekend together. Neither tell anyone else and they try to have a long distance relationship. But with Megan determined to work to prove herself, she messes up and forgets a weekend plan to meet Alex. Obviously, the relationship fails.
Megan’s job has expired and she is offered an opportunity to move to work with Zach to implement a computer system in the company. The prospect of moving to the town where Alex lives is both scary and exciting. Especially when they “run into each other” and the sparks are still there. Megan still is driven to prove herself, but Alex shows her that there is much more to life than work. Megan eventually accepts that, and she shows Alex that he can’t heal everyone, but he can make a lot of lives better through his therapy skills.
I loved this book! The difficult process of trusting another person completely, learning how to be your true self, making new friends and moving on with life no matter what is thrown at you are all dealt with herein. Along the way, there’s spicy heat, anticipation, lots of laughter, tears and hugs. This is one you don’t want to miss!
Thank you to NetGalley and Samantha Chase for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.

WOW!!! I LOVED, LOVED this story. It captured me from the beginning that I couldn't wait for the next page but didn't want it to end either. It was the perfect second chance romance but had a lot of depth to it as well. This one is packed with lots of emotions from the main characters, Megan and Alex, as well as the secondary characters. It had a strong sense of family, friendship and deep relationship loyalties. Megan had a lot of issues of acceptance to work through as well as trying to perfectly plan every moment, resulting in a lot of talking in her head. Alex wanted to help and be there for everyone, except himself. They have a lot of chemistry; chemistry that has lasted over 2 years!! Will Megan and Alex figure out how to resolve their own problems so they can have a relationship the desperately want? Read it now to find out...you won't be sorry!!! Great read!!!

I love second chance romances and I really enjoyed this book. The book is about Megan Montgomery who has always been careful, but one time she hooked up with a groomsman at her cousin's wedding. But Its been two years and she still thinks about Alex Rebat. Alex has been living a great life. He loves his job and friends. But The problem is the only one woman he wants is the one who ran away. But now that Megan is back in town Alex hopes he can convince her to give them another chance. I love this book.

The emotion and overall story had me laughing, anxious, happy and bawling. The timing for each scene was perfect, which is funny if your think about how they didn’t think timing worked for them as they had that mess up two years earlier. As it is a series, it makes sense that we would see other family members in this book, but instead of the same characters from some of their earlier books we got more time with the west coast family members and the female matchmakers which was a hoot! Along with more time, SC introduced more details into the lives of the characters, which in the case of Christian, left me furious on one hand because of the story he described and highly intrigued and excited to learn more on the other hand..haha.
It is safe to say that this is my favorite Montgomery Brothers couple and story, and...I believe it is my favorite Samantha Chase story. I adored Alex and Megan. I loved how they missed each other at first and then how their personal quirks played a role in how they came back together. I am an overthinker, so I really appreciated and enjoyed seeing a character who was like that, as well as another character who had to learn the best way to react and deal with loving someone who is an overthinker. From planning the dates at the park with a walk to helping search the neighborhood for Maylene I enjoyed the progression, hurdles, humor and openness of this relationship. And one cannot forget the love, laughter and sense of family that is described between cousins, siblings, uncles, aunts and friends in this story. It is great to see how protective and supportive everyone is, as well as how easily they like to laugh and have fun with each other.
Thank you Samantha Chase, SourceBooks and NetGalley for the chance to read this book and share my opinions!
