Well, winter may be never ending here in Michigan, but Magnus and Rachelle definitely helped warm me up!

I just adore Ruth Cardello, and her writing seems to get better and better with each book - I didn't even think that was possible! haha.

The characters are so well developed, the story line is so well done that I found myself staying up way too late to finish the book! I wanted to be friends with Rachelle, and cannot wait for the next book in the series!

I requested this several years ago and I don't think it's a book for me anymore. So I will not be reviewing at this time, but if I do read it, I will update this review. Thank you for the opportunity.

The dynamic between Rachelle and Prince Magnus was so much fun to read. The way they met at Eric's premiere was hilarious. I loved her sweet demeanor, yet she was feisty and held her own. Magnus held that arrogance that comes with royalty. I really loved it when she would knock him down a notch or two, and he seemed to enjoy it as well. They had great chemistry, and I liked how the tension built between these two. There was a lot going on around them, with her family's issues and Delinda showing up. There was some excitement and danger mixed in their story too. I really liked it from start to finish.

I wanted to read this book because it sounded interesting and the heroine has the same name as me which is rare. As much as I tried to get into the story I just couldn’t connect to the characters and the storyline didn’t hold my interest. Often times I felt lost so I’m not sure if I should have read the other two books. Thank you for allowing me a review copy.

Even though this is book 3 of the Westerly family series, it was easy to pick up the dynamic and drama of the family. Ruth Cardello's writing delivered a juicy back story that had me hooked and I want more of the Westerlys.
Rachelle Westerly needs taking a break from her norm: family peacemaker and 1st grade teacher. Even though she surprises her movie star brother, Eric, by actually showing up to his London home to get away, she wants to use this time to not only reconnect with him but also figure out her life. When she decides to go to her brother's movie premiere, she is mistaken to be a paid escort by a real life prince, Prince Magnus de Bartelebon. She is immediately turned off by his arrogant, playboy demeanor and assumption that she was an escort and she turns him down through their misadventure in getting to know who they truly are.
Rachelle is just the woman Magnus needs to set him straight and these two characters are truly exceptional in this story.

I have been anxiously awaiting the release of Royal Heir the third installment of Ruth Cardello's Westerly Billionaires Series.

I was not disappointed, I didn't think the author could top the other two books in this series but she did and left me wanting more.

Rachelle Westerly is the nurturer of the family and always puts her siblings first. She feels that she needs to get away for awhile and takes her brother Eric up on his offer to visit him in Europe.

When she arrives it is to find that Eric is preparing for the Premiere of his latest film and she think his not inviting her is an oversight on his part so she goes alone to surprise him.

It is there on the Red Carpet that she meets Prince Magnus who is not exactly Prince Charming. He has his own reason for wanting to meet Eric but meets his sister instead.

They end up sitting next to each other in the "Gasp" gallery where hilarity ensures. At the end of the evening the paparazzi takes a picture of them together and writes an insulting caption. Which captures the eye of Grandmother Westerly in the States.

No one insults a Westerly and gets away with it, not even a Prince!

There are so many twists and turns in this book that you will keep turning the pages to get to the end and want to start again.

You will see Grandmother Westerly in a whole new light when she meets Prince Magnus father King Tades.

You will meet Reggie and Finn and pray that Ms. Cardello writes them into book four (there has to be a book four)

Rachelle Westerly has done everything she can to keep peace between her family after her parents split and she and her siblings were divided. However, enough is enough and she's finally managed to escape because she needs a break. Going to stay with her brother is the perfect vacation until she meets Prince Magnus de Bartelebon and her world is turned upside down because of the press. Will Magnus be able to find a way to win Rachelle over or will they go their separate way because she wants nothing to do with fame and fortune?

This was such a fantastic story where the main characters entertained me from start to finish; the dialogue was compelling and had me loving the banter between the hero and heroine, as the Prince does his best to charm the heroine but she doesn't impress easily; and the fast-paced plot drew me in immediately, as the heroine does need a break from her family and it's no wonder she wants to get away with the way her grandmother loves to interfere in everyone's lives. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine meet where things get interesting, as the hero and heroine have strong chemistry, and yet, she's completely different to how women normally act around him.

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, as the heroine has had it tough playing peacekeeper with her family and it's hard to deal with them sometimes. However, she's strong and brave and I liked how she handles everything she goes through in this story. Certainly, she stands up to the hero and her grandmother and doesn't let them dictate her life, even though her grandmother is a stubborn and fearsome woman who thinks she knows what is best for everyone. I also liked how the hero and heroine help Rachelle's brother because he certainly needs it to get him to realize that life is precious and he shouldn't be wasting it away like he is. While the hero, he's confident, cocky and I liked how determined he was to win over the heroine. I also liked that he didn't allow his father to dictate what he does with his life, even though he wants the heroine and needs her co-operation, if he's to have any chance of getting her brother to do what he wants.

Overall, Ms. Cardello has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance shows their strong connection superbly; and the ending had me worried for one of the main characters, but had me delighted how things work out for the hero and heroine, as they're both so deserving of love and happiness in their lives. I would recommend Royal Heir by Ruth Cardello, if you enjoy the mysterious strangers trope, the enemy to lovers trope or books by authors Melody Anne, J.S Scott, Bella Andre and Melissa Foster.

Review: ROYAL HEIR (Westerly Billionaire Series) by Ruth Cardello https://wp.me/p3d0RZ-aIE

I truly enjoyed this romantic tale between Prince Magnus and school teacher, Rachelle. It held a nice balance between contemporary romance and romantic suspense that was fun to read. The characters were easy to like, even Magnus showed enough of his tender side to get me past his domineering and entitled actions. The side characters added an interesting depth as well. Yes, some things fell into place too easily, but that’s because it was a fun and spicy adult fairytale.

Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review Team

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series, and I would definitely recommend that you read them in order, as the family dynamics are key to these stories. Each one is unique, and I enjoyed that this one went into the royal prince romance route.

Rachelle, who due to worrying about her estranged brother Eric, is now living in his mansion in London, trying to spend time getting to know him. However, he has other ideas – and as we learn why, it reveals more of the fractures that the family splitting caused in these siblings. She does, however, meet Prince Magnus and has an annoying attraction to the arrogant man. Their first meeting is subject to the most crazy misunderstanding, but is rather funny!

Obviously Rachelle's grandmother, Delinda, has to get involved and everything becomes more than just a fairy tale romance. I can admit that I had a few tears at times, but also did quite a bit of chortling at Rachelle's cheeky ways. It was good to catch up with how the Westerlys are all moving forward too.

Another enjoyable addition to the series – do give them a go, if you haven't already.

I love royal romances. Always have. When I had the opportunity to read and review Royal Heir by Ruth Cardello, I jumped at it.

What did I love? It's a fast-paced story with just enough of the royal fairytale to keep me going until Harry and Megan tie the knot in a few weeks. The story of the American commoner (who just happens to be an heiress in her own right, even if she doesn't have access to her fortune yet) and the arrogant prince with a heart of gold is charming and has enough sexy moments to keep you wanting to turn the pages. I enjoyed the build up of Rachelle and Prince Magnus's love story and the subplot of Rachelle trying to reunite family ties with her brother. It worked well and made for good tension throughout the story.

What was missing for me? I didn't feel like I could get a sense of place when it came to the settings. There weren't enough details to give me the feel of London or, once they were in Vandorra, I couldn't picture it since the descriptions didn't evoke the look or feel of the place. It also felt like the pacing was off as we closed in on the story's denouement. The suspense subplot came off as a bit rushed and tied up a little too quickly for me.

But, all in all, I thought Royal Heir was an enjoyable read. It's romantic, exciting and has enough spice to keep the story from being too sweet. Rachelle and Magnus had good chemistry and their sexual tension was fun to follow. So if you want a little royal romance for a weekend read, add Royal Heir to your TBR list.

I really had trouble getting into the book initially and getting caught up in the emotions of the characters. The storyline was good, but it just didn’t stand out in my mind amongst other books in the genre. The blurb was great, but overall the book just fell flat for me.

Ruth Cardello has done an excellent job with "Royal Heir". Good well-rounded characters and solid writing. Rachelle found more than she bargained for on her trip. Magnus was not only a prince but a bad boy as well. Enjoyed it.

Rachelle is in London trying to get away from her family and all their problems. Staying at Eric's place might give her the chance to bond with him without all the disturbances her family usually creates. But Eric is not around enough for her to do that.

Meeting Crown Prince Magnus at Eric's movie premiere does not go well. He is the most arrogant and rude man she has ever met. Thanks to Eric's intervention, Magnus is warned Rachelle is not to be disrespected. But something goes terribly wrong and the paparazzi make a meal of it. Now Rachelle's reputation is at stake. Magnus must make amends.

Delinda is not to be toyed with. Once she realizes the mess that Rachelle is in, she acts like a grandmama-bear to fix this problem. If you are a fan of this book series, you know things are about to start popping once Delinda gets involved!

I adore this series. This is a complex, diverting, and passionate series and Delinda is bound to meddle in everyone's business trying to solve problems and make sure her grandchildren are taken care of. Totally recommended!

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the author for sharing a copy with me.

3.5 Stars Recurring plots as in other books
This was an OK read for me. Story was good but plot is one that rescued in other books in this series and the others. It's either about a prince (Taken by a Trillionaire) or billionaires (Barrington Billionaires, The Andrades) family problems. Reoccurring role of a grandmother looking for redemption as in the Barrington Billionaires.
New material needed, don't want to keep reading same book over with different names
