The Kill Wire by Nichole Christoff
This was the 1st book that I have read by this author and it is #5 in the series but definitely stands on its own and the author does a great job of getting you up to speed so your not lost. I am interested and will be reading the first 4 of this series as Jamie is interesting and kickass as owner of her own security firm. I was a bit turned off by Mark constantly calling her "babe", did not like that and for me it detracts from the story. However, that being said this was a good solid read and I had a hard time putting this down as it sucked me in and held my attention! Thank you Netgalley and the Publishers for allowing me to read this book and give my opinion!

Good novel. New series about a PI Security Specialist. She is a great character. For a first novel this is great

Tense, fast paced and NOT predictable. Characters are likable, flawed and have baggage. I could not put this book down because what I expected to happen never did

Fast paced chase to solve the crime. Lots of action, twists and turns. Look forward to more adventures with Jaime and company.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley.

This is the first book that I have read in this series. While this is a stand alone mystery, there were references to previous cases with which I was not familiar. Fortunately, the book had enough content to be enjoyable on its own and did not depend on prior situations. The characters are well drawn and the mystery is interesting. I would consider reading some of the author's earlier books.

Katherine rated it it was amazing
This was amazing! A rocket ride of suspense, thrills, sexual tension and action. I didn’t know this was book 5 in the series when I requested it from #netgalley but it didn’t detract from the story or make me feel I was missing backstory. I will go back and hunt down the other four to quickly devour them also. If you like a strong lead woman in charge of her life and career but who is definitely a human with flaws then Jamie Sinclair is for you! #thekillwire

After reading The Kill Sign, I reluctantly gave Ms. Christoff a 3 star rating versus the previous 4 stars I had been giving the series. I had to! Jamie was quickly becoming the helpless female who needed some man to ride to her rescue. Not what you would expect for a woman who owned her own security firm. In The Kill Wire, Jamie comes across stronger and more self-sufficient but Marc and Adam are still not far behind, worrying about her, trying to be the protective male, etc. Marc even picks up this horrible habit of calling Jamie "babe." Seriously? So while Jamie seemed a bit more on equal footing with the men, I really want to see a book without Marc or Adam being more than a voice at the other end of the phone while Jamie shows us that she should be running her own security firm and starring in her own book series.

Easy read with likable characters. Jamie's internal conflictwith the men in her life is a big part of what makes the book good

The Kill Wires is part of a series but can be read as a stong alone novel. Nicole Christoff has the ability to write a fast pace story but giving readers everything they need from character who come alive to locations that pop off the page.

Everyone who is in the story has a purpose moving the story forward until the killers are discovered.

Thank you to netgalley for the copy of The Kill Wire.

Thank you Net Galley!
this is the fourth in a series about Jamie Sinclair who is a private detective. She has a varied and wide background. it took me a few pages to get up to speed on the characters in her past - it was laid out clearly in the beginning. . I may have to read the first ones.
I really enjoyed this book. the mother of the son of one of Jamie's former love interests goes missing in Colorado and she drops everything to help find her. the story has many twists and turns. the writing in excellent. I recommend it highly

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is a real page turner. I started the book and had a hard time putting it down. The tension between the man she is interested and the man interested in her progressed in a unexpected way. Good job with that little surprise. I recommend this book to anyone with a need for a good read.

Really good suspense romance with a fabulous, strong heroine in Jamie. A fast thrilling read with some ‘on the edge of your seat’ moments. Nice romance between the H/h. Will read more stories by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC thanks to NetGalley.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
As it's the 6th book in the series, I probably would have liked itbetter if
I had read the previous 5. That being said, I really liked it and would be
open to reading more of the series. It's full of adventure and romance
with a good helping of romance.

I received this ARC from Netgalley, and while I'd not read others in the Jaime Sinclair series, I will go back and start at the beginning of her storyline. The story kept me up until 2am as I Had to know how it was going to end. While Jaime operates as a security specialist out of DC, this book involves a chase across several States as she and her client (and uber-hot friend, Marc Sandoval) attempt to stay one step ahead of a murderer. This is not a book for the faint of heart, and I did become a bit overwhelmed with the body count. That said, it kept me on the edge of my seat and was an entertaining read.

Originally, I wrote a scathing review. Then I felt bad about it and scanned back through the book thinking maybe I missed something or over reacted. I did. It was not as bad as I was left feeling after finishing the first read. It was just that the run around with Marc Sandoval stretched credulity and was irritating, "babe", and Jamie did not seem quite so smart or as real as in earlier books, and the document facilty sequence was uttlerly unbelievable, and Barrett's cameo appearance was lacking. I guess all that left me disappointed and colored the rest. So, it was a decent read for the genre but not what I had hoped for. I am looking forward to a killer book 6, Nichole.

It's going to be very hard to review this book without giving important details away. I adore this series, and I requested this ARC from Net Galley within seconds of seeing it. In books 1-3 I was a solid Barrett fan. Book 4 had me very torn but leaning closer to Marc. In this story I finally found my favorite, and I am both sad that he didn't get the girl and happy that she picked who she did. It makes no sense, but it's the truth of things. I really want Jamie committed to one guy and finally getting the attention and romantic sizzle she deserves. Jamie truly shows her mettle in this story as well as her ability to both take it and dish it out. As always, she does what's right in the big picture no matter what. Both Marc and Barrett have their places in this story, and Jamie has to choose where her heart belongs even while in the midst of brutal murders and missing people. This book had even more action/danger/suspense than usual, and the chemistry factor was also kicked up a notch. I loved it, and I need more Jamie asap!

The Kill Wire is the latest Jamie Sinclair novel by Nichole Christoff. Although one in a series, The Kill Wire is a stand alone story, and a fast read, as it's one where you really want to know what happens next. Some edge of the seat moments. I was given a copy to review.

This is book number 5 in the excellent thriller series starring private eye turned security specialist, Jamie Sinclair. Jamie has more business than she can handle, but Marc Sandoval, DEA agent, intrudes into Jamie’s life again and asks for help. Jamie wants to say no, but Marc explains that he is trying to locate Elena, the mother of his six-year-old son. Elena did not show up to pick up their son and has now disappeared. He knows at one time Elena was dealing with substance abuse and hopes that Jamie can find Elena before he does and is forced to arrest her. Jamie knows that taking this case may put her in further jeopardy with her boyfriend, military police officer Adam Barrett. Adam is a “by the book, i.e. law” professional and doesn’t understand when Jamie bends the law to solve a case. Jamie is a strong, take charge individual who gets the job done. I have read the entire series and would recommend that you start with the first book “The Kill List”, but if not, you will be given enough information about the characters that you will not feel lost. Ms. Christoff’s writing and characters are gritty, full of strong emotions and deal with life and death situations. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review and I highly recommend both this author and the series. (by paytonpuppy)

I've read a few, but not all of the books in this series- and this latest reminded me why I enjoy them. Jamie Sinclair is one tough woman but she's also got a big heart. Sometimes too big. This time around, she's working to find the ex of their friend Marc Sandoval, who has gone missing. Yes, there's a love angle going on but there's also a good thriller. Some it is a tad implausible (and inappropriate for serving officers) but you gotta root for them to find Elena. Thanks to Netgalley for the DRC of this page turner. You'd be find reading this as a standalone and will enjoy it if you like strong female leads.
