A bad boy and a good girl hookup. It was a good story. It was not an amazing but it was good.

When I saw Anne Marsh's Inked, I was unsure if I wanted to read it, but then I remembered that I really like the character, Rev, and that I had enjoyed her other books, so I picked it up, with nervous hope that I was going to like it, and I have to say.... I freaking loved it!

So I was trying to think about how I would actually describe Inked, and what came to me was that, it's mainly a mixture of sexy, hot biker, smart and in charge women, and a laugh your butt off storyline, that really cannot help but laugh along with.

From the beginning to the end, this book totally sold me on the Hard Riders series! Which is why I'm giving this book 5 stars.

Good girl meets tattooed Bad Boy. What's not to love. Not my usually cup of tea but I did enjoy reading Inked.

Mmm I did like this book!! It was really hot!! Great story line but I did loose focus a few times I'm not sure why but I did enjoy the story and would read more!! It was a little short but I still got the full story but I tend to like my books a little bit longer! Thank you netgalley for sharing this book with me!!

I'm very intrigued by MC's so I gave Inked a chance even though Ruled wasn't super great for me and I'm so glad I did because I loved Inked! I loved how different Harper and Vik were and that they were really floundering through things. Despite Vik's vocabulary I really enjoyed being in his head and seeing where he was coming from, though I wish we had gotten some more background and a little more interaction with the club. It felt a lot more real than Ruled did, which I greatly appreciate. I can't wait to see what else Marsh has in store for the Hard Riders MC.

A really good second book in the Hard Riders MC series. It is hot and sexy. Though you don't get very much of the MC world in this one it is still just fine by me. Vik and Harper are hot and heavy. Neither are looking for a relationship. But you can't help but see the spark from the beginning. I love the lengths Vik goes once he owns up to how he feels. That right there made the biker tattoo artist swoon worthy. I love that this series you can read as a stand alone too. Can't wait to read more of this series.

This is book 2 in the Hard Riders series and it features Vik and Harper. Awesome writing! Harper is sweet and vulnerable but strong at the same time. She comes off timid and vanilla at first but when she meets Vik she turns into a different woman. Vik is AMAZING! He’s cocky, confident and uber sexy. He can definitely talk-the-talk and walk-the-walk. These two are total opposites that couldn’t be more perfect for each other...except Vik doesn’t do love.

Fantastic story line with totally amazing characters! Two books in and I can’t wait for the third! This author has done a fabulous job at writing story lines that are made up of real emotions from ex-military, biker men, who don’t really express all those mushy, lovey dovey feelings. BRILLIANT!!

Vik is a man who loves to be in control, "still, she needs to understand that she doesn’t get to be the one in charge here. “Do that again and I’ll spank your ***.” He's always willing to help his lady out of distress, “if you need a pretty face for ***, you can call me.” I loved Vik's dad the man had so much charm, "the old guy pats his crotch. “Keep my assets right here.” Ooo-kay. Vik clearly inherited his sense of humor from his dad." I loved this book, Vik was just one persistent man.

Another DNF for me. I have to be honest, I am not into MC books. I thought Vik was a little over the top for me. I just could not get into this one.

ARC received for review

Didn't realized this was the second book in a series. I had to go look and yes I've read the first one (shocker), but didn't remember any of it.

This one was just okay. Vik and Harper were a sexy couple, but they both left a lot to be desired in the brains department. Loved Vik's plan to win Harper back, but the author didn't finish the song. They got a HEA, but then it just kinda stalled out at the ending.

Hard working, no-nonsense Harper catches her dud boyfriend cheating on her and decides to get tattooed, while drunk, by the disgustingly sexy Vik who just happens to be one of her past conquests. He doesn't remember her. After agreeing to being fuck buddies, they bang all around Las Vegas, and eventually realize they are in fact, in love.

I'm getting tired of the "hot, male tattoo artist teaching repressed young virginal girl how to let go" trope, but I guess not tired enough to not finish reading this short, novella length selection from the new Dare imprint. The character development was uneven and I wished some of the insignificant details were left out.

Why did Harper have a past with Vik? I never felt this was resolved in a sufficient manner to actually matter to the story. Also, after Vik runs away when Harper admits she loves him, I didn't buy his quick turnaround.

The sexy times were steamy, and I appreciated the cat rescue.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC!

A big thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First time reading this author. I had no idea this was part of a series. So it totally reads as a stand alone. I liked this story. I enjoyed the characters, and the setting. I am also a tattoo virgin but have heard lots of stories. This was different but good. Truly enjoyed it.

Harper is getting her first tattoo from tattoo artist Vik and he's happy to put his mark on her. She's a banker and he's a biker with an MC. Opposites attract in this red hot romance.

As someone approaching their 30th birthday, I've been eagerly looking into romance titles that deal with characters close to my age -- characters that I can relate to. This is something that Harlequin's Dare imprint has in spades. Unfortunately, not all of those stories are winner.

I enjoyed Inked for what it was -- a steamy romance. However, I tend to enjoy a bit more substance with my romance and, for the most part, I found Inked to be lacking in that department. I get that the Dare imprint is meant to introduce steamy books that include a crapload of sex, however, there needs to be more than sex when all is said and done. That wasn't the case here. I didn't care for the male lead front the get-go; there's a way to approach a bad boy character, the way Vik was developed felt like every fantasy mixed together and not necessarily in a good way. He wasn't the "bad guy with a good heart," a trope that when handled well is highly enjoyable. Instead, Vik was simply Vik the dick... until the very final chapter, when it felt like his realization of his feelings for Harper were rushed.

Overall, I didn't dislike Inked. It was okay, but it could have been so much more.
